17 Days to Purdue Football: Charles Torwudzo and Austin Parker

With 17 days until the start of Purdue's football season, H&R's Kickoff Countdown looks at redshirt sophomore WR Charles Torwudzo and redshirt freshman QB Austin Parker. Both will be reserve in 2012 and must bide their time for snaps.

18 Days to Purdue Football: Nnamdi Ezenwa and Cameron Posey

18 days left in the Kickoff Countdown, we look at two players who will wear 18 this year. Redshirt senior OLB Nnamdi Ezenwa looks to finally earn a starting spot and incoming freshman WR Cameron Posey might redshirt, but should make a future impact.

19 Days to Purdue Football: Caleb TerBush and Aloyis Gray

In 2012, both #19 athletes for Purdue are due to experience different fates. Redshirt senior Caleb TerBush is expected to start all season long and lead the team to unfamiliar successes. Incoming freshman QB Aloyis Gray will likely redshirt.

20 Days to Purdue Football: Gavin Roberts

The redshirt senior Gavin Roberts is slated to be Purdue's third running back in 2012, but he is still expected to make some noise in relief action in hopes of creating an all-around bruising run attack for the Boilermakers this season.

22 Days to Purdue Football: Ishmael Aristide

Ishmael Aristide, a former Safety for Purdue, has made the transition to Wide Receiver before the start of his redshirt junior season. Reports from Purdue training camp say that Aristide has suffered a knee injury, but he should return this year.

24 Days to Purdue Football: Akeem Shavers

The level of success Purdue's Akeem Shavers achieves this season will greatly impact and reflect the level of success the entire Purdue offense achieves in 2012. #24 has been named the starting Running Back and a team captain for the fall.

26 Days to Purdue Football: Antoine Lewis

With 26 days left until Purdue football begins, the Boilers' redshirt sophomore Cornerback Antoine Lewis looks to have a much-improved role in the defensive backfield this year. #26 is expected to play Dimeback and even some Safety this year.

29 Days to Purdue Football: Chris Quinn and Jimmy Herman

Today we look at the two guys who will wear #29 for Purdue in 2012. Senior Safety Chris Quinn looks to finally earn a starting spot this year, while freshman Linebacker Jimmy Herman will likely get the redshirt.

Welcome To The Fold: Austin Logan

It looks like Safety Austin Long from Tallahassee, Florida will don the old gold and black during his college career. He is rated as a three star prospect by multiple recruiters and last year the junior DB racked up some impressive stats.

31 Days to Purdue Football: Armstead Williams

Armstead Williams has the potential to be a future starter, but in his redshirt freshman season this year look for him to be a student of the game behind our starters and another cog in the linebacker rotation this year.

33 Days to Purdue Football: Danny Anthrop

9

Incoming freshman and local athlete Danny Anthrop will most likely be redshirted in his first year at Purdue. But watch out for this superb product to make an impact in multiple areas throughout his college career in West Lafayette.

Big Ten Football Media Days 2012 Recap

25

The 2012 Big Ten Football Media Days has officially been in the books for almost a full day now. And as I fully reflect on my first experience with the event, I can easily say that it was quite the spectacle.

36 Days to Purdue Football: Zack Heiniger and Robert Harris

+

Zack Heiniger will return to his spot on multiple special teams units this year. Robert Harris looks to compete for the now vacant starting kicker position in Carson Wiggs' absence.

As we move closer to the football season kickoff and our expectations for this year's Boiler squad grow and change on a near-constant basis, today's featured player in the Kickoff Countdown may...

Welcome To The Fold: Parker Cothren

3

Parker Cothren, a defensive end prospect out of Alabama, verbally committed to Purdue on Tuesday. The 6'4", 250 pound DE comes from Hazel Green HS, where he recorded 72 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles last year.

43 Days to Purdue Football: Sam McCartney

7

Redshirt freshman Kicker Sam McCartney has his work cut out for him, along with other Kickers on the roster, as he competes to earn the right to call himself Purdue starting Kicker and successor to Carson Wiggs in 2012.

45 Days to Purdue Football: Will Lucas

3

Will Lucas looks to continue to play at a high level in 2012. #45 should be working to become a vocal leader of the defensive squad and improve or broaden his skill set at Linebacker as he chases a Big Ten All-Conference selection.

Inebriated Purdue Cornerback Sean Collins was picked up outside of "Where Else?" on Chauncey Hill for allegations of battery. Collins supposedly hit 22-year-old Holly Fullerton in the face outside of the bar and attempted to flee the scene.

50 Days to Purdue Football: Jesse Schmitt

5

The way things are looking, Schmitt is perfectly set to do outstanding work as the starting Long Snapper for the Boilers for the next 2-3 seasons and also make some pretty hilarious comments on his Twitter now and then.
