Bitter and Blue Rumors and News for the Blue Moon Citizens

It's Tuesday, I should be working but instead I am going to slack for a few minutes and compile the recent news.

Bayern bid to boost firepower with £20m raid for Man City striker Dzeko

Bayern Munich have made a U-turn over Edin Dzeko by lining up a £20m move for the Manchester City striker.

Bitter and Blue Hazard-ous Material Ahead

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - MAY 14: A general view of the Barclays Premier League winner's badge on a Manchester City shirt during the victory parade around the streets of Manchester on May 14, 2012 in Manchester, United Kingdom. (Photo by Chris Brunskill/Getty Images)

Well another article by your beloved infamous lurker. This time we will be talking about Edin Hazard, the 21 year old Lille winger had amassed an amazing "34 goals and 26 assists over the last two seasons and has racked up a total of almost 200 appearance" recent speculation has come out that Hazard will not be wearing blue but red. I know to some of you this will be a great disappointment, however let us take a look at other players throughout Europe. Some are young, others old, most will be offensively minded midfielders considering that if we want a defensively minded midfielder then I would look no farther then de Jong and Yaya Toure who can do both. I have posted a link on each of their names to a video compilation. Only a couple are real targets for City outside of Hazard. That is if City are still in the race.

Bitter and Blue Edin Dzeko Unhappy and Leaving

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - MAY 13: The Manchester City players celebrate with the trophy following the Barclays Premier League match between Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium on May 13, 2012 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Alex Livesey/Getty Images)

Edin Dzeko, the tall Bosnian has come out with his intent on leaving City this transfer window. It comes to no surprise considering he has been seldom used after January where he has had a spot of inconsistency. He has asked his agent to find him a new home.

As I have posted earlier in multiple threads we all pretty much saw this coming. A combination of various events have lead to this point. The fact that he has asked his agent to field calls for his services only cements what was previously just a rumor into reality. The tall striker has been inconsistent, isolated and unhappy for a while. Throw in the facts that his national team coach Safet Susic has called for him to leave City due to lack of playing time, Mancinibacking Balotelli '101%', Carlos Tevez's return from his private golf tour along with his desire to remain at City past this summer and last but not least, Mancini's desire to bring in more strikers this summer only leaves Edin on the fringes of the team.

I'm going to try and compile a list of weekly news articles, transfer rumors, little tidbits of information about anything and everything for Manchester City and it's players. My work schedule is a bit crazy so forgive me if they come in late. I'll try to put them up every Tuesday, today being the exception considering I have a little time on my hands. If someone who has experience with photo shop or digital art could make a banner for Bitter and Blue that would be greatly appreciated. 728x60 or something like that with a possible slogan. If you guys have suggestions for a slogan that we could use just drop it in the comment section. Let's try and turn this site into something any City fan and foe can come in for some good information and opinion.

Bitter and Blue Off Season Activities for City and Co.

The regular season is done and it has been a wonderful season at that with plenty of ups and downs. I think it is time that we look to the off season for potential players during the transfer period. There are a lot of faces that could change this season considering that City will be looking to defend their crown and venture into the European madness.

Bitter and Blue The Uncertain Future of Dzeko

Edin-dzeko-007_medium

As the title suggests the future of Edin Dzeko at City this summer seems to be up in the air. Dzeko joined City during the 2011 January transfer window for 27 million. The Bosnian was marred with question marks about his ability to score in what is still considered one of the hardest leagues in the world. He would be facing defenses known for their aggressiveness and wit.

Bitter and Blue Castrol Edge Rankings

It has been quite a while since I have posted on here and for that I apologize. It has been a great season for City and even though I haven't been around these memorable parts in a very long time I still managed to follow the season and various campaign trails fairly closely.

What better way to come back then to post a quick fantasy ranking?

Bitter and Blue Bolton 2 - 3 City: Post-Game

BOLTON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 21: Edin Dzeko of Manchester City celebrates scoring his team's third goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City at the Reebok Stadium on August 21, 2011 in Bolton, England. (Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images)

The Bolton Wanderers hosted City today at Reebok stadium to what was a very exciting game.

Bolton came out with a 4-4-2 consisting of Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Eagles, Muamba, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Davies, Klasnic.

Mancini opted for the 4-2-3-1 of Hart, Kolarov, Kompany, Lescott, Richards, Milner, Barry, Silva, Yaya Toure, Aguero, Dzeko.

Bitter and Blue Jumping Ship?

Photo

The recent friendly Community Shield challenge between City and United is causing a stir within the moderate City fan base.

From what I am reading on different forums is how Mancini's 'style' is terrible. That he is too defensive oriented and that some players (especially Dzeko) do not fit his 'formation'.

I have seen comments about how the defense choked and about how City will never be as good as United.

These recent whisper's are still going and raising questions about whether City have what it takes to overcome United. This game also allowed trolls and opposing fans to take pot shots, some moderates are already jumping ship and to all of that I say 'wait, slow down... take a deep breath and look for the good'.

Bitter and Blue Manchester City vs Inter Milan - Post-Game reaction

Photo

Hello, hope everyone has had a good weekend. After today's win over Inter Milan, Manchester City have come out on top on the Dublin Super Cup.

If you have not heard the news, City won today 3-0 over Inter Milan who finished an exact result last year against City in the same event.

I somehow woke up early enough to catch the game however I did miss the first 5 minutes and hence have no notes before the 6:30 mark.

I am going to put up a transcript like recording of the game in which I was taking notes and watching the game at the same time.

You will notice a heavy focus on the offense and I will explain everything afterwards.

Bitter and Blue Sneijder, Eto'o and Aguero

The Metro reports:

Italian sources though, have told Manchester Evening News that Inter are keen on the wantaway Blues forward, and are willing to sacrifice the Dutchman in order to get him.

A swap deal would also likely suit City and Tevez, who are both supposedly eager to avoid a deal with Corinthians.

Since the recent Corinthian deal has failed to move Tevez, the Metro is reporting that Inter Milan has offered a swap containing Wesley Sneijder for Carlos Tevez.

This makes me wonder if the talks go nowhere for Sneijder, would we see Eto'o re-enter talks?

Bitter and Blue The Good... Jul 15th

Hello everybody, hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend. I found myself with 2 spare hours before I begin organizing my weekend house party so I thought to myself why not write something.

Lets get down to business shall we?

So far we have had a good transfer period. Quiet, yet remarkably we have been mentioned in some of the biggest rumors such as Nasri, Sanchez, Aguiero, Modric, Eto'o, along with others. This to me is an indication of the disregarded power Manchester City holds. It reminds me of Chelsea years back before they had won anything. Everyone seemed to write them off, part envy and part ignorance. Football changes from generation to generation. Thankfully I am around for this cycle to kick in.

Bitter and Blue The Flip Side of 'The Situation'

In the recent article written by our local resident Jeremy Morris, he gives valid and successful points as to why Tevez must not be allowed to leave Manchester City.

This article will be the flip side of that discussion. Why Tevez should not only be allowed to leave but he should be forced out by not just Mancini but the entirety of the Manchester City following.

Mile High Report Leadership: Values and Differences

Once again I see myself writing a FanPost. Once again I ask myself why I put myself through this. Once again I realize posters on here instigate me to write FanPost's. If you want me to stop writing these, stop posting comments.

Leadership has been thrown around lately. Primarily that Orton lacked leadership and that Tebow had so much leadership that we should just let him lead everything and give up on every other leader. This was brought to my attention over time and through the recent Maxwell edition of "Mythbusters" post about Orton and Tebow.

I enjoyed the article and I enjoyed Max's view on the fact that there can be multiple leaders in the locker room hence this did not have to turn into a "pissing contest" according to Mr. Max.

So what is my purpose here, well I would love for it to be that I would make a kick-ass article about "Leadership" and convince many people into my way of thinking, however I will make this article solely educational about different types of leadership styles, those implemented by Orton and Tebow separately and how they complement each other. I will tell you that Leadership also has it's own curriculum in school and uses actual leadership styles instead of one's dictated by public as "Fist pumping leader". Hopefully in the end you the reader will be able to fornicate your own opinion about leadership and leaders who lead the led party.

Mile High Report MHR: The Ugly Side

It has been quite a while since my last FanPost, I have not written one in so long not because I don't like this site but because I, like a never ending abundance of you am really really lazy. Plus I hate grammar as you are about to see.

However this FanPost is not about my lazyness or my 3rd grade grammar skills, it's about our beloved MileHighReport. It's about the fans that are on this site, the passion that flows through the fingers from over thousands (it is in the thousands right?) of fingers into the keyboard, unto a post and into our memories. This is the ugly side of MileHighReport. By the way if someone knows how to indent on this and could tell me, that would be awesome.

Mile High Report This is my team!!

No, I am not Pat Bowlen, I don't think he's Eastern European. However the title remains true. A couple weeks ago when McDaniels was having a conference about Dez and Tebow and McClain, I tuned into the Denver radio station 104.something (I'm from NYC) and the usual McD haters were phoning in, however there was this one guy. He said he was in his 20's or something and that because of his age he hasn't had a stable Denver team like some of you diaper wearing old timers did with Elway and Smith and others (No offense to anyone actually wearing a diaper out there).

This guy kept going on about how Jay, Brandon, The Chef, Doom and Clady where the guys he was supposed to grow up with and he was supposed to cheer. This got me thinking, he is absolutely correct! My generation has not had the pleasure of spending 10+ years in the bedsheets with Elway or Smith. We have seen QB after QB come through the door only to find their way out, we have seen RB injured from leprosy to a sore throat, WR become complete busts (Lelie anyone?) and so on and so forth.

Well you know what? I am fed up with this! This draft shows me promise! This coach shows me the same promise Shanahan showed you old timers promise when he first invaded Dove Valley. Although I despised Tebow at Florida I am easing up to the pick, Thomas - great young pick (Junior 22 years old) Decker - Another great pick who by the way was picked at #87 and who else was #87? That's right Ed McCaffrey was #87 (Jersey, his draft number was 83, coincidence? I don't think so). We still have our future LT in Clady, we have Doom and Williams, Larsen, Quinn (TE), we have all these young guys with so much potential and the people we are going to rely on pooling all of these kids together are McD and his great staff who I hope will stay for as long as need be.

I don't care what all those naysayers have to say, this is MY team because I SAID SO! Mark my words, this draft will start something special, anyone who disagrees can try to take me on but I will CRUSH YOU LIKE LITTLE ANT!

I AM HALF DENVER BRONCOS!!

Ok, I need to sleep. Goodnight all.

Mile High Report Marshall's incidents Timeline

I am going to put down every single incident Marshall has been on the record for. All of this is from ESPN. To get a little bit of a more in depth look of these incidents go to the link provided and read through it. Keep in mind I will be doing the same timeline ESPN did just a lighting version.

Oct. 31, 2004: faced misdemeanor charges of trespass, resisting arrest without violence, disorderly conduct, refusal to obey and assault on a police officer. Charges Dropped.

April 8, 2005: Marshall was charged with retail theft, a misdemeanor, after trying to return a stolen set of bed sheets. (Sad). Charges dropped.

April 2006: Marshall was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round of the NFL draft, No. 119 overall.

Dec. 31, 2006: "The Shelter" incident on New Years..

Jan. 24, 2007: Police responded to a parking lot outside an Orlando bowling alley where Marshall and his father had a heated argument. His father said Marshall threatened him with a gun and shot one time at him, he never signed a sworn statement and nearby witnesses said they hear no gun shots. Frederick Marshall also threatened to "ruin [Brandon's] professional football career," according to the police report.

March 18, 2007: Second Watley incident, Marshall punched her on the chin according to Watley after he discovered she was speaking with her ex-boyfriend. No charges filled or warrants taken out.

March 21, 2007: Marshall refused to ask Watley to marry him. According to a police report, while Watley was walking home, Marshall grabbed a large pipe from a construction site and hit the ground with it in frustration. Nobody was hurt. No charges filed.

March 26, 2007: Police in Douglas County, Colo., arrested Marshall for false imprisonment and domestic violence. I have already covered this incident in a post a very loooong time ago. This was a continuation of the Watley incidents.

May 25, 2007: Charges against Marshall relating to his arrest in Douglas County, Colo., were dismissed after he successfully completed anger management classes.

June 8, 2007: Watley suffered a cut on her thigh in Atlanta. No charges filed.

June 30, 2007: Watley told police Marshall struck her with a closed fist and choked her. Watley had a bruise on her left eye and noticeable scratches on her body, according to a police report of the incident. Officers made Watley aware of the procedures to obtain a restraining order. No charges were filed.

Oct. 22, 2007: Hours after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers, Marshall was cited at 2 a.m. by Denver police for driving under the influence after he was seen driving erratically. His blood-alcohol level was 0.116 (the legal limit for DUI in Colorado is 0.08).

Jan. 18, 2008: Watley obtained a temporary protective order against Marshall in Fulton County (Ga.) Superior Court. Eventually lifted.

Feb. 18, 2008: Again Watley was beaten at a resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A report was filed by police saying officers were called to the hotel to help hotel security escort guests from the property. The report does not mention Watley, Marshall or any details of the incident.

March 4, 2008: Marhsall is slashed on the hand by one of Watley's sisters with a knife, later he says no knife was used. While Watley was interviewed by police Marshall fled the scene.

March 5, 2008: Watley obtained her second temporary protective order against Marshall in Fulton County Superior Court.

Aug. 5, 2008: The NFL released a statement announcing that Marshall would be suspended without pay for the Broncos' first three regular-season games of 2008 for violating the NFL personal conduct policy.

Aug. 28, 2008: Less than a month after the NFL released a statement announcing Marshall's suspension, the league released another statement saying Marshall's suspension had been reduced upon appeal to one game without pay plus an additional fine of one game check.

Sept. 10, 2008: Marshall was charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple battery as a result of the incident the previous March (his formal bond arraignment was Nov. 3, 2008). Simple battery, according to the Fulton County District Attorney's office, is punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

Sept. 12, 2008: Nearly a year after being cited for DUI in Denver, Marshall pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of driving while ability-impaired. He was sentenced to one year of probation.

Feb. 5, 2009: While attending a dinner party in Honolulu as part of his Pro Bowl appearance, Marshall proposed to Michi Nogami-Campbell.

March 1, 2009: Marshall and his fiancée, Nogami-Campbell, were seen by an off-duty Atlanta police officer arguing outside the same Atlanta condo Marshall once shared with Watley. According to a police report of the incident, the off-duty officer saw Marshall and Nogami-Campbell kicking and punching one another on the sidewalk outside the condo building.

Mile High Report I cannot look at NFL news...

Because of the last three losses I cannot look at ESPN, Milehigh, Sportsline, etc. etc. for the fear of seeing the media bash the Broncos. True we deserve the bashing for the missed plays and the lackluster offense, however the losses just make the uneducated crap trolls spout all over the internet true(er) and THAT I cannot stand. I am so upset at yesterdays officiating that I don't even know where to begin. This team is good, somewhat young and somewhat experienced and yet the only people that understand this are the people here at MHR. The Indy game was OK, the Raiders game dreadful and the Philly game infuriating. I wanna punch one of those refs in the face! Phew OK, I'm a little better just wanted to vent =]
