Celtics go on losing skid, now tied with Chicago Bulls for 1st place in East.
Hey, guys. I'm currently posting on Alligator Army, Orlando Magic Pinstriped Blog, Music City Miracles (Tennessee Titans) and here.
So, as you can see from the title, Celtics have gone on a skid after winning 5 in a row. They are 1-2 in their last 3 games, being held under 90 ppg in each of them. Not to panic, though. They still are tied for 1st in the Eastern Conference. They are tied with the Chicago Bulls for 1st in the Eastern Conference at 47-18. After trading away Kendrick perkins and Nate Robinson, most people thought our bench production and defense would go down. That is NOT AT ALL the case. After acquiring Nenad Krsitc (C) and Jeff Green (F) from Oklahoma City, I knew that our defense would actually step up along with our scoring. It was no mystery that we were attempting to acquire a Small Forward to give Paul Pierce rest after playing 30+ minutes every game this season. We failed to get Corey Brewer from Minnesota and Anthony Parker from Cleveland. But picked up Jeff green from Oklahoma City. I think it was great to acquire him due to the fact that he played the Power Forward position at Oklahoma City and gives us a size advantage since we will be playing him at the Small Forward position to give The Captain, Paul Pierce, rest as we head into the playoffs.
As for Nenad Krstic, as a Celtic, he has been playing great. He is averaging just over 6.9rpg and 6ppg. But he is an offensive rebounding machine which allows us more second chance point opportunities. Glen Davis has just returned after missing a few games due to a strained Patella Tendon. We all know how key he is to us winning a game. Our bench has been playing good basketball as well. We just haven't been able to execute late in games. And we do have certain times in games where we play sloppy basketball.
Ray Allen is playing the best basketball of his career shooting 50% from the field and 40% from 3-pt range. It was no surprise that he would surpass Reggie Miller's historic 3-pt record this season and he sure did it in a great fashion at the TD Garden vs the Boston Celtics greatest rivals, the LA Lakers, but they failed to win the game as they lost 92-86.
Kevin Garnett is playing the most intense basketball of his career. he is averaging about 16ppg and 8rpg, but in the last few games he is averaging 16ppg and 11rpg. His defense is the type of motivation we need to win a championship. There is no doubt, at all, that the Celtics cannot win a championship without kevin Garnett.
Rajon Rondo still leads the NBA in assist, averaging 11.7apg per game. His scoring has dropped, but we know Rajon Rondo's primary goal is to be a playmaker, by passing, not scoring. He likes to score when he needs to. He is a true dynamic player, along with our roster.
Earlier, I stated our bench is playing good basketball. You're probably thinking "Who does the bench consist of?"
After the trade deadline, we signed Free Agents Troy Murphy (F, C), Sasha Pavlovic (G, F) and just recently signed Carlos Arroyo (G) which is a great bench. And also, Glen Davis. They all acquire defense and Arroyo, as we know, is a great point Guard.
So, that's pretty much what's been going on lately with you Boston Celtics. Follow me on twitter @RayAllenFans.

Boston Celtics head into All-Star Break with 4 Celtics as reserves and East-Best 40-14 record!
Hey, I'm currently posting on here, Orlando Magic pinstriped Blog, Alligator Army and Music City Miracles (Tennessee Titans)
So, after leading the East with a 40-14 record, the Eastern Conference coaches voted 4 Celtics to the All-Star Game as reserves! Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett. will join Al Horford, Joe Johnson from Atlanta and Chris Bosh from Miami as All-Star reserves.
Rajon Rondo has been in the debate for best point guard in the NBA and till this All-Star break came, he has averaged well over 10.5 ppg and 12.5ppg while started out with 82 assists in the first 4 games of the NBA season! He currently leads the NBA in assists for the season with 524 assists! And as you all know, Ray Allen now leads the NBA after passing Reggie Miller's historic 2,560 3-pt record. And also, this season, Paul Pierce scored his 20,000 point as a Celtic.
All in all, I think we have the formula, to be a championship-caliber team.

Doc Rivers named Eastern-Conference All-Stars Head Coach!
Hey guys, I'm ccurrently posting on Alligator Army, Orlando Magic Pinstriped Blog, Music City Miracles(Tennessee Titans) and here.
After leading the Boston Celtics to an Eastern-Conference best and NBA 2nd best 36-11, Celtics' Head Coach Doc Rivers has been selected to coach the Eastern-Conference All-Stars. Although the Celtics did go on a stretch of losses, they still are at the top of their conference and 2nd in the NBA to the now 40-8 Spurs, after the Spurs' loss to the TrailBlazers 99-86. The Celtics won the same night 95-90 after a second half comeback while Ray Allen lead the way with 22 pts, including 4 3-pt FG as he inches closer to the 3-pt record which he is 9 away by setting the record. Rajon Rondo lead the way in assists, as usual, with 10, but also had 17 pts. Pierce had 15.
After beating the LA Lakers in the Finals rematch, the Celtics players, organization and fans' confidence went up due to a great deal of excitement by beating our rival.
Glen Davis has been stepping up defensively and our bench has been, too.
After getting ejected for CLAPPING against the Suns on a very questionable call, I believe that has made no judgement on Doc's coaching methods, as it has taken him to the All-Star game. He is most likely going to coach 4 of his own players (Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett) due to how well they've played.

KG makes return soon, Rasheed Wallace rumors, Celtics move back to 1st place in eastern Conference 30-9!
Hey, guys. I'm currently posting on the Orlando Magic Pinstriped Blog, Alligaotr Army, and Music City Miracles ( Tennessee Titans).
KG has been out for the last 9 games with a right calf strain. His return is estimated probable for the Orlando magic game.
The Celtics fell out of 1st place by a half of a game to the Miami Heat, who are now 30-11, but at the time were 30-9. 30-9 is now the Celtics record as they cruise to a victory at the TD Garden against the Charlotte Bobcats. Rajon Rondo stood out with 19 points and 13 assists. And Shaq stood out with 24 points and a season-high 5 blocks.
And as you read in the title, there have been rumors of Rasheed Wallace's comeback. I know most of you don't like him, but truth is, he is a great presence inside, good defender, great post player, and consistent three point shooter. He told former ESPN analyst, Stephen A. Smith, that he would like to come back after the trade deadline to get another shot at LA.
Now with Jermaine O'Neal needing surgery and Avery Bradley being sent to the D-League, this clears roster space and Cap Room. So, the Need for 'Sheed might be a possibility.

Rondo coming back soon, KG calf strain, Celtics go to 24-7!
Hey guys, Im currently also posting on Alligator Army, Orlando Magic Pinstriped blog, and Music City Miracles (Tenneessee Titans).
With the Celtics missing their star Point Guard (Rajon Rondo, left ankle sprain), and their aggressive Power Forward (Kevin Garnett, right calf strain), they have gone from 23-4 to 24-7. We can see some size inside is disrupted due to the change in height from KG to Big Baby. Also, we only have 2 true Point Guards to take Rondo's roll. Rondo s currently averaging 13.8 assists, so not having him their is really messing up our fastbreak game, and steals per game. Although Pierce, Allen, obinson, Big Baby, and Shaq are stepping up, we need those two key players to be able to get on that win streak we had which was snapped by the Orlando Magic.
Rondo might make return vs the Toronto Raptors who are also shorthanded. Hopefully, we can stay focused and keep winning games. Doc Rivers stated that he is not even nervous at all or worried about the injuries.
With Ray Allen less than 60 3-pointers from Reggie Miller, how long do you think it will take him to beat it?
Overall, the Celtics are still playing Championship basketball. A couple losses doesn't need to worry us. Championship teams are built over time with experience and we have lots of exerience being the 2nd oldest team in the NBA behind the 1st place San Antonio Spurs.

Rondo injured again, Shaq still out, Celtics go to 21-4!
Hey guys, I've been writing posts on here, Alligator Army, Orlando Magic Pinstriped Blog, and Music City (Tennessee Titans).
I'm going to talk about how the Celtics are doing on the current 12 game win streak.
Rondo suffered a left sprained ankle in the 118-116 win against the NY Knicks. He will be out for a few weeks. Shaq is still not back since he has a sore calf. Jermaine O'Neal has a sore right knee and Perkins is still recovering from knee surgery.
Due to those injuries, our win streak was almost snapped due to our lack of size and durability inside. I think Semih Erden is going to have to play a key role in the Center to help us win. I love this guy, he's doing great and I trust him a lot. KG is still doing great. Ray Allen has only have 2 bad games this season which is awesome. And Paul Pierce is still Paul Pierce. That means that he's still clutch and leading the team to yet another winning season. I think Big Baby and Nate are doing great too and they are stepping up when they need to. Our second team (bench) is doing good defensively, but lacking some offense, but with Marquis Daniels leading the bench, he can straighten them out.
I hope to see Delonte back before playoffs.
With Joakim Noah out with thumb surgery, how will that play out for the Celtics? Bulls?
And how will Mike Miller's return benifit the Heat? How will it not? And will the Celtics be in trouble when Miller comes back for the Miami Heat who are on a 11 game win streak?

Orlando Magic tied for 1st in the East with the Celtics(12-4)!
Hey guys I'm posting on the Boston Celtics Blog, Alligator Army, Music City Miracles (Tennessee Titans) and here.
So, my favorite team is obviously the Boston Celtics, but my 2nd favorite is the Orlando Magic. To answer questions you might be asking right now, NO, I will NOT be biased in this post.
So, now let's talk about the title of the post. I think the Orlando Magic are playing great, the three point shooting is off the charts, J.J Redick starting for the injured VC (who is back against the Pistons) and Howard averaging a double-double every game. That speaks for itself. I see the Orlando Magic as the only real and cosistent competitors versus the Celtics. BESIDES the Chicago Bulls due to their injuries. IF the Orlando Magic keep playing the way they are, they can get far. Dwight Howard is just breaking out even more every year and Mickael Pietrus has a very nice 3p shot. So, I see a very tight conference by the playoffs. I see Celtics or Magic at the top, the Bulls or Miami or Atlanta Hawks. The real question is, Will the Magic stay consistent and why?

Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan brawl again!
Hey guys, I'm also posting on the Boston Celtics blog, Alligator Army, Orlando Pinstriped Post and here.
You probably have read a lot of articles concerning the whole 'Andre Johnson' and 'Cortland Finnegan' dispute. I honestly thing that they are letting Finnegan off the hook. Did they NOT see the tape? I didn't not join this blog to just bash on Cortland, but because I enjoy watching the Titans play.
Anyways back on topic, Finnegan obviously grabbed/jabbed Johnson first and Johnson ripped off Finnegan's helmet and then Finnegan ripped off Johnson's. Now, I was on Finnegan's side with this, but then I really payed attention and...Andre Johnson had a reason to 'lose his cool'. This is the NFL and it is a contact sport and I understand people aren't supposed to fight, but $25,000 fine with barely any hits and NO INJURIES is too much. I think Andre Johnson had the right to swing at FInnegan because these two have been fighting since last year and Cortland Finnegan is the type of guy to get in your head and I think if a guy fights you every time he sees you within that short of a time span, he will get to you eventually. Let's get realistic, though. Andre Johnson did get a couple of extra hits in there and Finnegan was smaller. But Finnegan was asking for more!
I think they should just settle this with some hardcore football because as they said on ESPN's 'Around the Horn' 'Once they took of their helmets, they were two men street fighting, not NFL players.' Do you really want your kids to grow up watching men fight? I think they should have been suspended because now players can think "We can fight and only get fined $25,000"

Rondo's back! Allen going for Reggie's record! KG and Shaq not showing signs of aging!
Hey guys, I'm also now currently writing on the Florida gators Football blog and the Orlando Magic blog.
So, good news for us Celtics' fans! Rajon Rondo is back! And in his first game back after missing 3 straight with a strained left hamstring, he dropped 14 assists and 4 pts and 3 stls along with 4 rebs. I think he is on his way to make history!
Ray Allen dropped 17pts, 8 assists, and ripped down 3 rebs. Not bad for a 35 year old! Just kidding, he's still doing very good! He is 78 3-pointers away from tying Reggie Miller and 79 from beating him!
Paul Pierce reached the 20,000 point mark against the Milwaukee Bucks by hitting 2 clutch free throws with 13.3 left which later helped them win.
Kevin garnett..WOW! 26 pts and 11 boards against the Raptors and his season average so far is 15.7 pts and 9.3 rebs!
Shaquile O'Neal is as effective as I've seen since the Lakers. I think he is doing a tremendous job and his average of 12.3 pts and 7 rebs is helping us tremendously!
Bench: is doing great and after a horrendous 19% field goal shooting start for Nate Robinson, he has stepped up and dropped 22, 16, and 7 points in the games he filled in for Rondo. Semih is doing his job, Von Wafer should get a little more playing time, Big Baby is a huge threat to the opposing team, while he can rip down rebounds, but also has a mid-range shot.
Overall, we a re doing very good and I am happy for the future to come. Go Celtics!

John Brantley messed up! AGAIN! Season Summary!
Hey guys, you might have seen me on the Celtics blog but right now i'm here to talk to about the Florida Gators Football team. First off, let's go over how bad John Brantley has been this season. In the first game, he had 8 fumbles and I sort of let it go because Tebow's first game as a starter in Florida also made him nervous enough to drop the ball eight times. Today, he fumbled 3 times. I don't know about you guys, but I;m getting to the point where I'm glad to see if he's injured or not.
Ok, now onto the O-Line. For the most part, I think we played fair. I say 'fair' due to the fact that John Brantley got sacked, hurried, or hit a lot. but that's also his fault for not knowing how to scramble (Philip Rivers mode)
Receivers time. They, in my opinion, played great. Even with a not-so-good quarterback. Carl Moore did the most, in my opinion.
Runningbacks. Chris Rainey and Jeff demps did good. i like the counter runs and the screen passes.
Defense: The two guys on defense who stood out the most to me were most definetely 5' 9'' Lineback Ahmad Black and Cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
Overall, if we played Jordan Reed more, our season would have been more succesful. And ESPN has reported that DL Coach Dan Mccartey has left Florida to go coach North Texas..

Celtics injury! 11-4 record. Rondo still out!
Delonte West suffered a Broken Right wrist against the New Jersey Nets. We won that game 89-83. Rondo still hasn't played since he first sat out against the Raptors to which we lost 102-101. How do you thnk these injuries will contribute to our losses/wins? Or fastbreak points? Are these key losses for other competitors like the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and the Chicago Bulls?
Do you think the Chicago Bulls can match up to us without Carlos Boozer? How do you think Rondo and D-Rose are matching up?
How's Wade doing? He has a sprained left wrist but still dropped 18 pts, 5 asissts, and 7 total rebounds (2 offensive, 5 defensive) in their loss to the magic.
Who is playing the best in the East? What about on the Celtics?
Celtics through first 14 games? How do you think they are doing?
Well? 10-4. Beat the Heat both times. I'm not trash talking, just stating the facts due to the fact that the Heat were self-proclaimed to the be the best or as equal to the Bulls' 72-10. Now with injuries surrounding the Heat (Dwyane Wade, Sprained left wrist, Udonis Haslem, torn ligament in left foot which he underwent surgery for yesterday), where do you think the Celtics will finish in the East? Do they have competition? How do you think they are playing as of right now? Messy? Awesome, or just enough to win? Is Rondo's hamstring injury serious? What do you guys think?
Also, who here thinks Ray Allen will beat Reggie Miller's three-point record? He is my favorite player, but i am not biased, even though I do think he will beat the record if he stays hot like he is now.
Boston Celtics Point Guards!
Hey guys I'm just wondering how you guys think about the Boston Celtics Point Guards! We have Rajon Rondo, Nate Robinson. How do you think they will either help or not contribute to the Celtics? If they make it to the NBA Finals, do you think they will help in the playoffs or NBA Finals? Will our other guards other guards and forwards have a big role? What about Shaq and Jermaine? Ray Allen, KG , Pierce?
Celtics 2010-2011 Season!
Hey guys, this is my first post and I was just wondering , how good do you guys think the Celtics will do this season? What do you think they will finish in the East, like what seed? Do you think they will make it to the Finals, or will the very Talked About Miami Heat get in the way? Will LeBron, Wade, and Bosh, stop the Big Shamrock, the Big 3, and Rondo, from going to the NBA Finals for the 3rd time in 4 years?
