Looks like Amobi Akoye is not going back to 'da Bears. He's 24 and still has some upside. 4 sacks last year and played a good number of snaps (50+% of Defense snaps for the Bears). Certainly an upgrade to any of DT back-ups currently. I know his name has come up before and I always thought he could be pretty good..in the right defense. If he isn't asking for too much coin, He really ought to get a look.

With Dolphins releasing Safety Yeremiah Bell, should the Bucs be interested? At 34 he's a bit of an older player, but he certainly can tackle as he led the Phins in tackles last season. He's a real leader as well, something the youngsters could certainly use. Denver did something similar in bringing in Brian Dawkins in the twilight of his career and it worked well for them. Bell is certainly an upgrade and with the exceptionally weak draft class at safety might help us until next year or the year after and help to develop one of our young guys (Black, Asante, Grimm) and provide some much needed leadership.
