Turf Show Times New name for my profile

Hello everyone and thanks to anyone who read my mock drafts and to whoever put my 2nd on the front page.  I am currently tired of being the only one on here that is using my full name for my profile.  I am currently having problems coming up with a good name and I was looking for suggestions, I will then take these suggestions and have a poll to see which name wins.  Currently I will put bdogg in since it my nickname with my golf buddies but I am open to any suggestions you all may have.  Thanks for helping me and GO RAMS!!!

And here is the poll

Turf Show Times Mock Draft Take 2

1. Carolina- Nick Fairley- DT

Don't think any of the QBs are worth number one overall, so they will go with either Bowers or Fairley.  I give them fairly because the need for a DT is greater in Carolina.

2. Denver- DeQuan Bowers- DE

They simply will take the best pass rusher available at number 2.

3. Buffalo- Patrick Peterson- CB

I know people think they will pick Newton, but I just don't see why they would.  Fitzpatrick is good and the need on defense is so much greater.  Also they can pick up a QB like Ryan Mallet or Jake Locker in the 2nd round and have them develop for a few years without the pressure to play him.  Peterson in my opinion is the best player in the draft and the Bills will be thrilled to have him.

4. Cincinnati- Cam Newton- QB

Palmer is serious when he says trade me or I'll retire.  They need a QB badly and even though I don't like Newton this high, the fact is he is the best option at QB this year.  They could also go with Gabbert, but I think Newton has a lot more upside.

5. Arizona- Robert Quinn- DE/OLB

The Cards need a pass rusher badly, and even though Quinn has a lot of character concerns he is still a beast.  They could also go with a QB, but they most likely will go the FA or trade route to get one.

6. Cleveland- AJ Green- WR

Too good to pass up here.

7. San Francisco- Blaine Gabbert- QB

New coach means new QB.  They will take either Newton or Gabbert.  They could also go with defense, but I think they need to finally start from scratch at QB.

8. Tennessee- Marcell Dareus- DE/DT

BPA for the Titans.  They love to have physical defensive linemen and Darius fits the bill.

9. Dallas- Price Amukamara- CB

This is a no-brainer for the Cowboys.

10. Washington- Von Miller- DE/OLB

I think they also might go for Julio, but their defense could use another impact player.  Miller needs to put on weight but there is no doubt that he is talented.

11. Houston- Tyron Smith- OT

They need an OT badly; it is what held them back last year.

12. Minnesota- Cameron Jordan- DE

This is assuming they resign Rice, which I think is likely.  The defense is getting old on the line, so they need to get a young good player and Jordan is exactly that.

13. Detroit- Aldon Smith- DE

I don't think they will take Julio because they have Megatron.  An outside rusher to go with Suh could make this Lions team a surprise playoff team next year, assuming Stafford is healthy.

14. St. Louis- Julio Jones- WR

If he falls here somehow we have to pick him.  There are many teams ahead of us who could really use him, but I thin k they have other needs so they won't pick him.  A possibility though is that someone will trade up ahead of us to pick Jones.

15. Miami- Jimmy Smith- CB

This was a hard pick to project because none of the remaining rushers look like a 3-4 guy to me.  This would be a need pick, as their secondary is one of the worst in the league and they play in a division with Tom Brady.

16. Jacksonville- Ryan Kerrigan- DE

They need a pass rusher so badly it hurts.  Best one available so they pick him.

17. New England- Akeem Ayers- OLB

Belichick loves his versatile linebackers and Ayers could fit very well into their system.  He doesn't do one thing great but does everything well.

18. San Diego- Jon Baldwin- WR

They need someone to replace Vjax, who neither the Chargers or Vjax want to continue their relationship.

19. New York Giants- Nate Solder- OT

The o-line is getting old and Solder's value is tremendous here.

20. Tampa Bay- Adrian Clayborn- DE

He just seems like a Bucs style of defender, doesn't he?

21.  Kansas City- Cory Liuget- DT

Their d-line is sub-par, and Liuget projects well as a DE in a 3-4, almost like a Richard Seymour type.

22. Indianapolis- Anthony Castonzo- OT

They need o-linemen badly, best one available.

23. Philly- Gabe Carimi- OT

Same as Indy, need an o-linemen, best one here.

24. New Orleans- JJ Watt- DE

Any sort of defensive help would be greatly appreciated by Drew Brees and the offense.

25. Seattle- Jake Locker- QB

Go for the local boy as the future to groom under Hasslebeck.

26. Baltimore- Torrey Smith- WR

The offense needs speed badly and Smith will provide that.

27. Atlanta- Cameron Heyward- DE

Need as the help at pass rush they can get.  I know his is a drastic fall but someone always falls like this.

28. New England- Mark Ingram- RB

Value too good to pass up here.

29. Chicago- Mike Pouncey- OG

Some project him higher, but I think all the OTs will be picked up before him.

30. New York Jets- Justin Houston- DE/OLB

Jets need a pass rusher so Rex doesn't have to blitz every down.  This guy is my sleeper in the draft.  I think he is going to be a stud.

31. Pittsburgh- Derek Sherrod- OT

I think the Pack adequately showed them how much their line sucked.

32. Green Bay- Mikel Leshoure-RB

I know they have Grant coming back, but Leshoure is too good of a value here for them to pass up, since they don't know if Grant will be completely healthy for next year.

Thanks for reading, leave comments for discussion.

Turf Show Times My first mock draft

Okay, I'm no expert but here we go

1. Carolina- Nick Fairley (DT, Auburn)

Man do they hate Luck for going back to school.  They will just have to settle with the BPA, and he is safer than Bowers, so I think they will take Fairley.

2. Denver- Da'Quan Bowers (DE, Clemson)

The Broncos simply will pick the best defensive player, which is Bowers here.  Some concern since he was a one year wonder.

3. Buffalo- Patrick Peterson (CB, LSU)

This is a very hard pick to project, because they have needs everywhere but wideout so no AJ Green.  So I will just go BPA and give they Peterson here, who I think is the best prospect in the draft, but CBs are never picked #1.

4. Cincinnati- Blaine Gabbbart (QB, Mizzou)

I do think Palmer will go, so the Bengals need a QB so they will reach for one.  Gabbart is the best QB in the draft, but I don't think he will be so good.   I think he is not accurate enough and I've heard work ethic questions.

5. Arizona- Nate Solder (OT, Colorado)

This is a need pick.  I know they need pass rushers, but I don't see any worth a pick here.  After the combine this may change, but for now they need a OT.  They also need a QB but I think they will go the FA route.  Dareus is a possibilty here but I think they are set on the line with Docket and Campbell.

6. Cleveland- AJ Green (WR, Georgia)

I think Pat just jizzed himself.  This is a great value, and the Browns have great building blocks on offense with Thomas, Hillis, and McCoy already in place.

7. San Francisco- Marcel Dareus (DT, Bama)

BPA for Harbaugh.  He would really like a QB, but it is just a bad year for QBs in this draft.

8. Tennessee- Cameron Jordon (DE, Cal)

They need a replacement for Vanden Bosch, and Jordon looked great in the Senior Bowl.

9. Dallas- Prince Amukamara (CB, Nebraska)

They need a CB, and Jerry will be thrilled that Price fell to him.

10. Washington- Cam Newton (QB, Auburn)

Yes this is a reach but so was Tebow and Newton is twice as good as Tebow.  McNabb is gone, and they will need a QB, they actually have good talent everywhere else so I think they will bite with Newton, a high risk, high reward pick.

11. Houston- Aldon Smith (DE, Mizzou)

They will simply pick the best defensive player, and I have Aldon ranked highest here.  I think this guy is going to be a stud paired up with Super Mario.

12. Minnesota- Ryan Kerrigan (DE, Purdue)

The Vikes would like another piece on the other side of Allan, as Edwards is probably leaving.  If Locker has a good Combine I would put him here, but they are also my favorites to land McNabb.

13. Detroit- Akeem Ayers (OLB, UCLA)

I hate this pick because I think he will be a bust, but the Lions need defensive players badly.

14. St. Louis- Julio Jones (WR, Bama)

Since he fell this far we have to pick him.  Could be the answer to our offense.  We could also trade down if he is picked before we pick, and possibly get a guard or OLB.

15. Miami- Von Miller (OLB, Texas A&M)

The best 3-4 pass rusher available, so the Dolphins will pick him.  I think he is a little overrated, but he could still be a nice player.

16. Jacksonville- Cameron Heyward (DE, Ohio St.)

When you play in Peyton's division you need all the pass rushers you can get.

17. New England- Cory Liuget (DT, Illionis)

My favorite Illini (my future college), we all know they will trade this pick but I am not going to project trades.   They need help on defense, and I think Liuget will show hoe legit, he is at the combine.

18. San Diego- Brandon Harris (CB, Miami)

We made their defense look terrible, especially Cason.  They will pick the best secondary player available.

19. New York Giants- Martez Wilson (LB, Illinois)

This is a reach but they need a LB bad.  He is a good, but raw LB, but he has the potential to be a pro bowler.

20. Tampa Bay- Adrian Clayborn (DE, Iowa)

Great Value here for a team looking like a great future contender.

21. Kansas City- John Baldwin (WR, Pitt)

They need another WR to pair with Bowe.  Baldwin could be a good possession and red zone guy for the Chiefs.

22. Indy- Tyron Smith (OT, USC)

The Colts need all the help on the Oline they can get, and I have Smith as the best OT left.

23. Philly- Gabe Carimi (OT, Wisconsin)

Just like Indy need an OT, the only weakness of this team.

24. New Orleans- JJ Watt (DE, Wisconsin)

They will be thrilled that he is still available here, a no brainer for them here.

25. Seattle- Jake Locker (QB, Washington)

QB of the future.  A local kid so a popular pick, someone to groom under Hasslebeck.

26. Baltimore- Titus Young (WR, Boise St)

They need a explosive threat for Flacco to throw downfield to, and Young is a great fit.

27. Atlanta- Leonard Hankerson (WR, Miami)

Need another WR to pair with White.  Leonard has great size and hands and would be a welcomed weapon for Matt Ryan.

28. New England- Mark Ingram (RB, Bama)

They don't need him, but he is too good to pass up here.

29. Chicago- Mike Pouncey (OG/C, Florida)

Best O-line man available so they have to pick him.  Also need a WR, but I don't see any worth it here.

30. New York Jets- Robert Quinn (DE/OLB, North Carolina)

He will fall because of character issues, but the Jets don't have a problem with that.

31. Pittsburg- Rahim Moore (FS, UCLA)

The Packs showed the Steelers how back their secondary is.  Moore is the best secondary player availabe so they will pick him.

32. Green Bay- Mikel Leshoure (RB, Illinois)

Grant is coming back, but with the injury questions I think they will get Leshoure who is a great value here.  He looks just like an Sjax Jr.

Thanks for reading my mock, please leave comments, but do realize this is my first mock ever.

Turf Show Times Why does everyone want the Steelers to win?

Seriously, why?  Is it just because the Steelers are the new America's team?  I mean come on man, they have a rapist at QB, and a bunch of asshole fans.  I just don't see why people want them to win.  They have already won the most in history, and all of their key players have already won a ring.  The Packers have very few players with ring, and also people who really deserve it like Donald Driver (one of the greatest stories in the NFL) and Charles Woodson.  Also the Packers have very good fans, who are very respectful and don't throw how good their team is in your face.

Turf Show Times This video is funny as hell (explicative warning)

I know we aren't much better and they killed us this year, but this is just so funny I couldn't stop laughing.  Also we have won a Super Bowl so suck it Lions. I need seventy five words for this crap.  Damn, I guess I'll just keep rambling on.  So the Blues are playing, Oshie's back and he's the f-ing man. Now it's at 75, so I can stop rambling.

Turf Show Times Thoughts On Rams V. Cardinals

1. We should be able to get pressure all day

Hall and Long should be recking havoc all day on Anderson and this is why I think we can shut them down unlike the first game.  The Card's OTs are pretty bad and our DEs are stellar.  Anderson is bad when he is under pressure but is great if he has time just like in the first game of the year.  Look for a 5-6 sack game for the D.

2. The Oline will protect Sam

Just as they have the last few weeks the Oline will protect Sam and allow him more than enough time to get the ball down field.  They are bad run blockers though and it will be another tough running day for SJax.

3. The WRs need to show up again

Danny needs to continue to get open and get the key first downs.  Dx needs to be a big factor this week and I think he will because I don't think anyone on the Card's D can cover him except DRC, but if they put DRC on Dx than the other wideouts (Gibby and Danny) will have great match-ups they need to exploit.  I think the WRs will be the key to the game because we won't be able to successfully run the ball.

4. Sam needs to limit turnovers

Just keep it up Sam, keep the ball run clock and don't make any dumb mistakes.  He has been on fire the last few weeks.  Yes he needs to throw well but because our D can shut out the Cards no turnovers=win.

5. Score prediction

24-3 Rams, Cards won't be able to get any offense going because we will stop the run easily and bring pressure all day against Anderson.

Turf Show Times Fantasy League

Anyone interested in joining my fantasy league?  The draft is Saturday at noon (central time) and I have three empty spots.   The league name is Sunday Bloody Sunday and it is on NFL.com.  The rules are standard except a passing TD is worth 5 points instead of 4.  This is a 10 team league.  The one and only requirement is too come up with a creative name like mine Victorious Secret or Endzone Diva etc.

Turf Show Times NFL superbowl "Thank You" commercial

How stupid does the NFL think its loyal fans are?  They claim in the commercial as if we are there greatest asset, which we are.   If they loved us oh so dearly there would be no possibility of a lockout in 2011.  The commercial said thank you to the best fans in the world.  So from all of us here at TST lets all say to the NFL,  IF YOU ARE SO GRATEFUL TO US FANS GET A NEW CBA!
