NIU Unveils New Basketball Court Design


Northern Illinois proved they are serious about their basketball programs today, putting down a brand new court in the Convocation Center. This is the first new court to go in since the Convo was built in 2002. The floor was originally used in the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. Wooden Legacy Bracket


Today ESPN revealed the bracket for the 2014 Wooden Legacy Tournament in Los Angeles, California. Western Michigan will face Long Beach State in the first round and then will take on the winner/loser of San Jose State and Washington. Long Beach State went 15-17 last year and missed out on the postseason.

Today ESPN revealed the bracket for the 2014 Charleston Classic in Charleston, South Carolina. Akron will be taking on USC in the first round and will play the winner of Drexel and Miami. The Trojans were awful last year, going 11-21 and missing out on the postseason entirely.

Chad Ford has Javon McCrea to 76ers in Updated Mock Draft


According to Chad Ford's latest mock draft published today on (unfortunately an Insider article), the 2014 NBA Draft on Thursday may get a little MAC flavor. Ford has Buffalo Forward Javon McCrea going 54th overall to the Philadelphia 76ers. In the mock Ford gives McCrea some great reviews, even calling him sleeper pick in the draft. McCrea averaged 18.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game last year for the Bulls. The 76ers need players at the forward spot and McCrea would be a great fit. Besides starter Thaddeous Young, Philadelphia didn't have a consistent forward this season. Brandon Davies and Lavoy Allen split time as backups but they were not viable options. The NBA Draft airs on ESPN Thursday night at 7:30 eastern.

Kent State Picks Up Rutgers Transfer Craig Brown


According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, Rob Senderoff picked up a nice transfer in former Rutgers player Craig Brown. Brown will be able to play right away for the Flashes.

Nick Harney Transferring from Akron
