Braves Top Prospects 2014

How is this not on the front page? Lazy journalism...

Adding Bullpen Depth

So far this offseason, much of the talk about our pitching staff has been about acquiring an ace. Well, injuries killed our bullpen depth and we should put a higher priority on it than getting an ace.

Braves Young Core Is Really Good

Yea, our future is looking pretty darn good.

Will the Braves Extend Their Young Core?

This is should be the top priority of Wren and Co. this offseason.

Another Pitcher on the Rise

As of right now, we don't have much starting pitching depth, but things should change significantly within the next year. Gilmartin and Graham should be ready at the end of the year and Wood could be ready as well.

Braves Positional Outlook: Starting Rotation

Maholm is probably gone after this year and should be replaced by Gilmartin or Graham. Hudson is also a free agent, but he would like to finish his career as a Brave. Only time will tell which direction the Braves choose to go. Beachy, Medlen, and Minor will anchor our rotation for at least the next three years with plenty of depth behind them.

Braves Positional Outlook: Infield

We are set at first and shortstop for a good while, but third base and catcher will have holes after this year. Hopefully, we can work extensions out for Prado and Mac.

Francisco has turned things around after slow start and working with Walker/Fletcher

I'm so glad to have Walker and Fletcher over Parrish. Also, Francisco looking to shed some weight over the off-season. Maybe to show he can start at third next year?

Could Cunningham Be An Option for Centerfield Next Year?

Todd Cunningham has had a good year so far in AA, hitting .315/.362/.383. He has been on a tear recently, hitting .419/.438/.548 in his last ten games and so I'm begining to wonder if the Braves would consider him starting him in centerfield if they can't resign Bourn/A Free agent or trade for a centerfield. He still could walk a little bit more and hit more doubles, but he is progressing very nicely.

MLB Trade Rumors Extension Candidate: Brandon Beachy

The Braves have been one of the best in the business developing players especially pitching, but we will able to keep some of our homegrown talent?

Josh Willingham signs with the Twins

I wasn't a fan of signing Willingham because of his initially asking price of three years, ten million a year, but it looks like his price went down and could have been affordable deal for us. Unfortunately, it seems his price wasn't low enough. If we couldn't go after Willingham, is it even possible to go after Beltran?

Bourn to ATL

Excellent analysis from CAC.
