Because sometimes an event comes along that is perfect for a liveblog on our unique platform we will be here covering Ultimate Chaos: Bob Sapp vs. Bobby Lashley starting with the PPV broadcast at 9:00pm ET. So stop by and partake in the discussion during this unique MMA event.

Our one rule for tonight's event is this: DO NOT SHARE OR REQUEST ILLEGAL STREAMS! I am not here to pass judgment on anyone for using a stream to watch the event but for liability reasons we can not allow sharing of illegal streams to happen on the site. Any request for, or sharing of a stream will be met with a no questions asked ban.

With that said, get "cised" (as Luke would say) for what should be one of the more "interesting" events of the year.

The PPV broadcast has started!

Danny Abbadi vs. James Orso - Round 1 - This is a rematch of a fight Orso won by unanimous decision. Some against the cage grappling and a low kick by Abbadi. Orso with a nice right hand that lands flush. Right hand by Orso and he follows behind into a double leg. Danny has full guard. Just a slow body attack on the ground by Orso. Orso is able to posture up now and he lands a couple punches before standing up. Orso dives right back into the guard. The round ends and it was a boring 10-9 round for Orso. Round 2 -High kick lands by Danny. Some ugly striking and Orso gets a takedown into side control with a half-assed shot. Abbadi has half guard and Orso lands an elbow to the back of the head. Now as Abbadi moves up Orso tries to pull a guillotine but wasn't in a good position and Danny is able to get out. This fight is...ugly. They're back to standing and the round ends with Abbadi getting a takedown and laying on top. 10-9 Orso I guess. Round 3 - Big right hand counter to a kick by Orso and Abbadi tries to say it didn't hurt him. Orso with another attempt at a shot from his knees and Danny has a standing guillotine and he pulls guard. It's a deep choke. Orso survives and pops out. Now Orso is just sitting on top delivering shots to the body while Abbadi sits with a closed guard presenting no threat. Orso is trying to throw some shots as the fight ends and the announcers are really selling this fight as a gem (it wasn't). 10-9 Orso again for a 30-27 card. Official Scorecards: 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28. James Orso wins by unanimous decision.

John Harris vs. Brandon Harder - Round 1 -THey charge in and Harris lands some nice shots but gets a little too wild and Harder is able to clinch with him. Harris is pumping the right hand and landing often. Harder with a takedown attempt and Harris avoids. Harder finally gets the takedown by Harris is able to stand back up. Harris with some more solid strikes and some knees from the clinch. Now a big right by Harder and this is entertaining but REALLY ugly. Flurry by Harder and Harris is buzzed (and gassed). Harder is landing at will now and Harris is gassed and running around. Now Harris with more knees from the clinch that land solid. Takedown by Harris and Harder has a deep guillotine with an arm in. Harris gets his head free. Harris with some huge shots from the top and then gets sloppy and Harder takes his back as the round ends. 10-9 Harris. Ugly as hell but a blast to watch. Round 2- Harder with a quick takedown. Harris goes for an armbar but Harder gets out, they stand and Harris gets the takedown. Harris gains full mount and is landing some shots from the top. Clean elbows from the top by Harris now. Harris has been on top for over a minute landing shots but gets sloppy and Harder escapes and gains a full mount of his own. Harder landing big shots now. Sloppy blocking byt Harris and Harder grabs an arm triangle and Harris has to tap out. Brandon Harder wins by submission (arm triangle), round 2.

Tom Atencio vs. Randy Hedderick - Round 1 - Low kicks by Hedderick and Atencio throws punches to close the distance and has Randy pushed against the cage. Big shots by Hedderick and Atencio is down! Tom stands back up though. Big shots by Randy again and Atencio is surviving and pushes Randy against the cage. They separate and Tom is fully alert. Low kick knocks Randy down but they're still standing. Low kick as Atencio is throwing a spinning backfist and he is dropped. Hedderick is in side control but Atencio gets to his knees and then stands up. Atencio is landing punches but Randy doesn't even bother putting his hands up as he isn't getting hurt. 10-9 Hedderick. Round 2 -They're both throwing early here and now Atencio pushes him up against the cage and they're talking and laughing against the cage. The ref separates them and Tom lands a leg kick. High kick by Hedderick and Atencio catches it and sweeps the other leg. Lands a few shots but Hedderick stands back up. Hedderick throwing bombs against and Atencio throwing leg kicks and landing a right of his own. Takedown attempt by Randy and Tom sprawls. Now Atencio has Randy's back and is landing shots to the body. Tom tries to take the back and doesn't get his hooks in so he ends up on bottom. Back to standing and Atencio takes his back standing and takes him down. Hedderick is bleeding from the nose badly. Big shots by Atencio as the round ends. 10-9 Atencio to even it up on my card. Round 3- The fight is stopped prior to the start of the third round. It looks like Hedderick may have a broken nose. Tom Atencio wins by TKO (corner stoppage).

Brett Cooper vs. Waachiim Spiritwolf - Round 1- Not a ton of action early. Cooper landing a few low kicks now. Spiritwolf with a charge forward and they're locked up against the cage. left hand by Spiritwolf and a right hand counter by Cooper. Right hand lands for Waachiim now. Huge right hand by Spiritwolf and Cooper is OUT COLD! A few more shots for good measure and it's all over. Cooper is up and stumbling around the cage. Yikes, big KO. Waachiim Spiritwolf wins by KO, round 1.

Chris Horodecki vs. William Sriyapai - Round 1 -Low kick by Sriyapai early. Right hand by Horodecki and he gets behind and takes Sriyapai down. Chris gets his hooks in and is working for the rear naked choke. Chris still working strikes from the back and occasionally working for the choke. Finally Horodecki is able to get the arm under the chin and Sriyapai has to tap out. Chris Horodecki wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 1.

Mark Kergosien vs. Javier Vazquez - Round 1 - Vazquez grabs a quick guillotine, rolls to on top and Kergosien has to tap out. That...was quick. Real shame Din Thomas didn't make weight. Javier Vazquez wins by submission (guillotine choke), round 1.

Colin Mckee vs. Lance Thompson - Round 1 -Takedown by Mckee but Thompson is able to stand back up with ease. Finally Mckee gets the takedown and has back control but Thompson gets up and is on top. Armbar attempt by Colin and Thompson passes to side control but Mckee stands up. Attempt to pull a guillotine by Mckee but he ends up on bottom. Thompson tries to throw some shots but they stand up. Now takedown by Mckee and he has the back. Strikes by Colin and it looks like Thompson tapped out. Colin Mckee wins by submission (strikes), round 1.

Gilbert Yvel vs. Pedro Rizzo- Round 1 -Yvel with a high kick early but it doesn't land. Another kick attempt and Rizzo catches it and sweeps him down. Rizzo is on top in Yvel's guard now. Elbows by Rizzo are landing now. Back to standing and big high kick by Yvel. Rizzo drops and Yvel lands a flurry of HUGE shots on the prone Rizzo. YIKES! Rizzo is in bad shape on the mat. Yvel asks the crowd to be quiet while he checks on Rizzo. Pedro is on the ground just kind of rolling around as they try and keep him still. Scary stuff. Gilbert Yvel wins by KO, round 1.

Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp - Round 1 - Heeere we go. Let's see what happens. Lashley with an immediate shot and into Sapp's half guard. Lashley is throwing big shots now. Sapp with a shin across chest from the bottom to defend. Lashley is still landing shots and Sapp is defending somewhat decently. The crowd is booing and now Lashley is throwing bombs again and Sapp taps out. Okay then...Bobby Lashley wins by submission (strikes), round 1.

Sarah Kaufman vs. Shayna Baszler - Round 1 - Kaufman lands a shot but Baszler hits an uppercut of her own. Tie up and Baszler gets an inside trip takedown. Deep choke using the knee and one arm by Baszler but Kaufman is able to roll and is now on top and out. Postures up and lands a few left hands and gets to half guard. They're working and get warned multiple times for action and then are stood up. This ref is bad. Kaufman's straight ahead punching style is just getting her locked up and allowing Baszler to not have to deal with getting into a striking war. They clinch against the cage and as they struggle for postition are restarted by the ref again. 10-9 Baszler in a relatively close round. Round 2 - Kaufman is working the jab early rather than rushing in which is key. They exchange shots but nothing hard. Kaufman now has Baszler pushed against the fence. The ref warns for action 6 seconds after they clinch up. Right hand lands for Sarah now and Shayna didn't like it. Three punch combo for Kaufman now. Another big right for Sarah. Another flurry connects for Kaufman. It's getting increasingly one sided as Baszler isn't able to get inside and is getting picked apart with hard shots. The round ends with a huge flurry from Kaufman. 10-9 Kaufman to even the fight up. Round 3 - Right hand by Sarah and Shayna shoots for a single but has to pull half guard. Kaufman is landing right hands. After 3 seconds without a punch the ref is calling for action. Left, right combo lands flush on Baszler's face. As Baszler is working for a throw she is warned for action but Kaufman takes her down and lands a punch and stands back up. Kaufman is really working distance, closing in when she wants to land and then getting right back out. It's been a really impressive performance since the start of round 2. Right hand lands flush again for Kaufman. They're still going hard with a minute left, this is a clear indication that women deserve 5 minute rounds. Kaufman with a big flurry. Baszler rolls for a kneebar and Kaufman is stuffing it. The fight ends and it seems like it should be a clear 29-28 decision for Sarah Kaufman. Official Scorecards: 29-28, 30-27, 30-27 all for Sarah Kaufman. Sarah Kaufman wins by unanimous decision.

Conor Heun vs. Jorge Gurgel - Round 1- Leg kick from Gurgel. Right hand lands flush for Jorge and another leg kick. They clinch and each land a series of body shots. Right hand hurts Heun. Right hand now for Gurgel. Right hand sends Heun stumbling. It's clear this is going to be a standup fight if Gurgel has his way. They exchange shots and no one lands much of anything. Left hook lands for Jorge now. They each land right hands. Conor is grimmacing after eating a few more leg kicks. Gurgel goes straight back and eats a shot for using such bad technique. The round ends and it was clear 10-9 Jorge. Round 2- More leg kicks and Heun is hurting from them. Tie up and an uppercut lands for Heun. Head kick lands for Gurgel. Flurry for Gurgel and Heun is hurt. For some reason every time he looks hurt Gurgel doesn't attack. More big shots from Gurgel. It's a technical disaster, but it's an action fight so there is that going for it. Heun land a few shots of his own now as Gurgel goes straight back again. Huen is coming on and has Gurgel bleeding. Heun with a body shot. Big shot for Gurgel and Huen is rocked. Flurry by Gurgel and Heun is really rubber legged. Gurgel with some power shots again and a head kick as the round ends. 10-9 Gurgel again. Round 3 - It's really more of the same Gurgel landing more shots and more power but Heun landing every now and then to give some hope. Spinning back kick misses for Heun and then a body kick drops Gurgel but he stands right back up fron under Heun. Gurgel throws a kick and Heun caches it. Gurgel is on top and Heun has mission control. he's working off bottom and of course the ref is in his face screaming for action. They end up back standing and Heun with a right hand. Head kick from Gurgel is met with a counter right from Heun. 10-9 Heun round on my card. My card reads 29-28 Gurgel. Official Scorecards: 29-28, 30-27, and 30-27 for Jorge Gurgel. Jorge Gurgel wins by unanimous decision.

Nick Thompson vs. Tim Kennedy - Round 1 - Right hand by Kennedy. Takedown attempt by Kennedy and Thompson grabs an arm to look for a kimura. Kennedy taks his back but Thompson has a straight armbar with his back taken which is very hard to finish. The arm is out and now Kennedy is looking for the rear naked choke. Thompson defends and now Kennedy is in his half guard. Now back to back control and Kennedy lands a shot to the side of Thompson's head. They go to standing and Thompson looks for the kimura but gets taken down and Kennedy is in side control. Quick transition to mount but Thompson gets half guard back right away. Now in a scramble and Kennedy takes his back again but then back to half guard. North sound back to half guard and the round ends. 10-9 Kennedy on positional control. Round 2- Kennedy misses a head kick. Right hand for Tim lands. Takedown by Kennedy and he is in side control. Transition into the mount. Kennedy has his back and is landing a flurry of shots and Thompson taps out and is upset over something in the corner after the fight is over. Tim Kennedy wins by submission (strikes), round 2. Looks like Thompson thinks he was fouled (hit behind the head?) during the ending flurry.

Joey Villasenor vs. Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos - Round 1 -Leg kick from Cyborg and a wide hook misses in return for Joe. They exchange and Cyborg is working counterpunching and is very measured. Left hand lands for Cyborg and he just misses a follow-up uppercut. Big leg kicks from Cyborg land hard. Left hook from Villasenor. Takedown by Joe now and Cyborg gets him in his guard. As Cyborg is working for a triangle Joe passes to half guard and the ref from the women's fight calls for action. Joe in half guard looking to improve position and another call for action. Side control for Joe and Cyborg is able to roll to his stomach and stand up. 10-9 round for Joe. Round 2 - high kick just misses for Cyborg. Cyborg goes straight back and eats a left for his mistake. They're in close and exchange power shots. Joe with a takedown attempt is struffed. Uppercut lands for Cyborg. More low kicks from Cyborg. Joe is looking like his leg is hurting. Left hand for Joe lands. Now a solid body shot from Villasenor. Left hand lands for Cyborg. Villasenor with a left hand again. Another big low kick by Cyborg and a spinning back kick to the thigh. Cyborg lands a flurry of lefts and rights. Joe is throwing back but he got the worse of the exchange. 10-9 round for Cyborg and I've got it even going to the last round. Round 3 - Cyborg hurts him with a few more leg kicks and then stuffs a takedown attempt. Now Cyborg gets the takedown. Cyborg lands some nice shots. Villasenor scrambles and they're back to standing. Four punch combo from Cyborg. Leg kick for Cyborg and a return punch from Joe. Both guys are gassing heading into the last half of the last round. Right hands by both men land hard. Right hand by Joe. Cyborg is gassed and it's opening things up for Joe. Leg kick by Villasenor. They close out with both men landing shots. 10-9 Villasenor in a very close round to make it 29-28 "Smokin Joe" on my card. Official Scorecards: 29-28 Villasenor, 29-28 Cyborg, 29-28 Villasenor. Joe Villasenor wins by split decision.

The UFC Should Consider Re-Signing Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski

I know, I know. That headline made a few of you gag. But why don't we start with a comment by Kid Nate yesterday:

They should re-sign Sylvia and/or Arlovski

I’m serious. You know those guys are a lot more affordable than they were just a few months ago.
AND they’re good enough to be a test for any heavyweight — any heavyweight without one punch KO power that is!

This makes a LOT of sense honestly. Right now both guys have no bargining power so the UFC could go into negotiations by saying "THIS is the deal we're offering. We're not going to have any back-and-forth. If you're not willing to take it we're done here" and just offer a small deal with some significant incentives for winning fights.

These guys still have name value for the casual, PPV buying audience and provide that mid-tier heavyweight that is missing from the UFC heavyweight division. Yeah, both of them are coming off of bad losses in their last few fights but let's be fair. Both guys, when motivated, are dangerous tests for most heavyweights on the planet. Andrei is still a very tough fight for anyone. Sure his chin is a problem but he gave Fedor a tough fight before getting caught and lucky for anyone who wants to negotiate with him he got clipped by Rogers.

What is even better is that either guy is actually still capable of making a run in the division. When he is on his game and in shape Big Tim has the ability to use his size and style to beat most guys in the world. Why not sign two guys with SOME value and a lot of skills for the lowest price possible?

Oh, and the one rule to this idea? NO FOURTH FIGHT BETWEEN THE TWO!

The "Robbery" Plague in Boxing and MMA

A few years back I didn't endear myself to a lot of MMA fans and writers by coming out in support of the 10 point must system. I still feel that it is the best way for transparent, honest scoring in MMA but that is neither here nor there for the point of this article. What does matter is that the system is what is in place and it has to be understood by someone before they can argue about the outcome of decisions.

Brickhaus over at BadLeftHook wrote a piece in response the outcries of "Robbery!" after Miguel Cotto was awarded a split decision victory over Joshua Clottey. It has become such a common thing for fans of both boxing and MMA to claim that the losing fighter was robbed in every close fight. Brickhaus does a great job of explaining the difference between a close decision fans wanted to go the other way and a "robbery." He says:

What is a robbery in boxing? Here's a hint - it's not a decision that you merely disagree with. It's a decision that is impossible; that there's no reasonable way the judges could have scored the fight in favor of the fighter who actually won.

Obviously this translates to MMA the same way. A fight like Bisping/Hamill is a great example. I score that fight for Bisping every time I see it, FightMetric also scores it for Bisping...etc. But people will constantly bring it up as a robbery when it is actually a fight that legitimately could go either way.

Brickhaus goes on to explain 4 major scoring fallacies such as:

Scoring fallacy #1 - "Fighter A can't have won, he got beat up, and Fighter B looked like he just walked out of the shower."

Real-life non-robbery example: Kessler-Andrade. This argument is so silly when you think of how many times a clear winner has looked worse for wear than the loser, yet the argument comes up again and again. The fact is, some guys just get more beat up looking than others in a boxing match. Arturo Gatti and Vito Antuofermo would probably get cut from someone else's stubble rubbing against him, yet they won their fair share of fights when they looked like murder victims at the end of the fight. Also, even if someone takes a real licking in one round, that's still one round. If they go on to win the other 11 rounds, then it's a blowout win, and there's just no argument that can be made that the more beat up boxer won the fight.

This is just such a great piece that really translates to MMA scoring perfectly. I really want to encourage everyone to go take a look. But the main thing I hope the piece does is encourage people to stop calling every single decision they don't agree with a robbery. This, of course, won't happen as fans are generally too emotional in their response to events. But still, it is something that needs to be absorbed and understood by fans of both MMA and boxing.

A Look at the MMA Heavyweight Rankings Shake-Up

If one thing has been made clear by the last few weeks it is that the heavyweight division is incredibly unstable. By the time Fall begins to set in we're going to be looking at a divisional picture that is unbelievably different from May.

Let's look at the heavyweight rankings as posted on May 28 and see if we can't try to make some sense out of where the division will be on September 1.

#1 Fedor Emelianenko will face #2 Josh Barnett in August. I don't see this fight going well for Josh, but one never knows in this sport. Still, at the beginning of September the winner of this fight is clearly #1 in the division. If Fedor somehow doesn't pick up the win he probably only drops to #2, if Josh gets the loss he'll likely drop to somewhere in the #5 range.

We're roughly a month away from #3 Frank Mir taking on #6 Brock Lesnar at UFC 100. The winner will probably be ranked second or third in the division depending on the result of the Fedor fight. The reason Brock would make the jump to possibly as high as #2 with a win? Well, aside from beating the guy ranked third he also benefits from #4 Andrei Arlovski losing last weekend by knockout to unranked Brett Rogers. Coming off of two straight knockouts (one of which was when he was the extreme favorite) is probably going to bump Andei out of the top 10.

At UFC 102 on August 29 we'll get to see a bit of a delayed dream match as #5 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will fight #7 Randy Couture in what amounts to the "loser's bracket" fight of the mini-tournament. A loss for either guy is going to send them to the bottom end (if not out) of the top 10.

Speaking of "out of the top 10" #8 Tim Sylvia lost in 10 seconds to unranked Ray Mercer in a fight where Mercer had no skills other than boxing. Sylvia not only lost but showed up over 310 pounds. Sylvia was supposed to fight Paul Buentello at Affliction 3 but I'm guessing that doesn't happen as Tim will be fighting a medical suspension (and is 45 pounds over the heavyweight limit). I'd be shocked if he is in the top 20 by the time September arrives.

Given that 5 of the top ten will have picked up a loss by the end of August #9 Shane Carwin stands to move up significantly without even fighting. #10 Alistair Overeem is in the same boat although if his hand is healed he may be fighting on the August 15 Strikeforce card.

Relevant Fights Outside Top 10:

#13 Junior Dos Santos vs. Justin McCully

#16 Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer

#19 Cain Velasquez defeated #12 Cheick Kongo

#14 Mirko Filipovic defeated Mustapha Al-Turk

Post your predictions of what the USA Today/SBN Consensus Rankings will look like for the Heavyweight Top 10 after this all shakes out in the comments.

The True (Lack of) Meaning in Ray Mercer vs. Tim Sylvia

Scott Christ at BadLeftHook sums up what the fight truly meant:

If anyone rational wants to know my opinion of what this means in the great pretend war between MMA and boxing, it means absolutely nothing. Listen, I've never met Tim Sylvia. I genuinely assume he's a nice guy. But I have no idea what kind of mindset he has right now other than a guess that it's not very good. He came in over 300 pounds for this fight, which means he didn't train and didn't take this seriously, which is stupid. I know we all think the fight was a joke -- and it was, it should not have happened -- but he was going in there to do a job, a dangerous job, and he didn't prepare. His career is completely in shambles now.

I couldn't agree more with the rest of Scott's feelings on the fight which are basically that A) this would be a nice sendoff for Ray (as long as he doesn't decide this means he has a career left ahead of him) and B) that Sylvia needs to get his head on right and maybe he can still turn his career back into something real going forward.

Beyond the personal meaning for both men, there really isn't anything more to read into this fight other than that boxers have a natural chance in any fight based on the fact that they're able to land one punch with small gloves and knock someone out. This is a true case of "every fight starts on the feet" actually meaning something.

Dan Hardy vs. Marcus Davis - This should get the card off on the right foot! I'm stoked for this fight! Round 1 - Body kick misses for Davis as they feel each other out early. Davis charges in for the takedown and has Hardy against the fence. Hardy has an underhook to prevent the takedown. Finally Davis is able to get the takedown and Davis has the mount. Hardy gets half guard and then full guard. Very high guard by Hardy but Davis gets up. Hardy gives up his back trying to stand up. Hardy is trying to reverse but isn't having any luck. Hardy is able to stand and Davis is gassing a little. Big shots from Hardy and Davis is hurt. Davis is cut and the round ends. Very close with Hardy hurting him toward the end and Davis is all swollen and looks really tired. 10-9 Davis. Round 2 - Davis with a flying knee attempt and Hardy counters with a left. Again a counter left hook from Hardy. Davis with a counter right now. They're trading and Hardy witht the better shots. Knee from Hardy and Davis goes down! Hardy follows him down and land some shots but Davis is recovering. Davis with and armbar attempt and it was deep but Hardy got his arm out. Davis using some elbows off his back. They're stood up by the ref. Left hand by Hardy and Davis pushes him against the cage. Knee to the body by Hardy and they split. Left hand by Davis lands flush. Davis with a takedown and a few punches. 10-9 round for Hardy on the strength of the knockdown. Round 3 - Left hand by Davis and Hardy slips so Davis follows him down. A little bit of damage by Davis from the top. Davis goes for a toe hold, then a heel hook but can't finish and Hardy is able to stand up. Hardy with a takedown. Big elbow now by Hardy. BIG cut on Davis' nose. The fight is stopped to check the cut and he is unable to stand up well. They continue the fight. That cut and obvious wobbly legs from Davis make me want to give the round to Hardy as he was obviously more effective from on top. They're stood back up. Left hook from Hardy. Leg kick from Hardy. Left again from Hardy. Left hook AGAIN from Hardy. The round ends and I score it 10-9 Hardy. They shake hands. And Hardy walks over to say good fight to Davis' corner. My final scorecard is 29-28 Hardy. Official Scorecards: 29-28 Hardy, 29-28 Davis, 29-28 Hardy. Dan Hardy wins by split decision. Davis is upset but it's hard to complain. Hardy tries to shake his hand and Davis refuses. He was willing to shake hands when he thought he won, so obviously respect only counts when you win, if you lose you can be a baby.

Spencer Fisher vs. Caol Uno - Round 1 - Low kick from Fisher. Shot from Uno is stuffed by a nice sprawl by Fisher. Uno now presses Fisher against the cage. Fisher with some knees while he has double underhooks. Boos are starting as almost the whole fight to this point has been clinching against the cage. They're restarted in the center of the cage. Left hand just misses for Fisher. Solid outside leg kick by Fisher and now a good uppercut. Uno with another takedown attempt and Fisher defends. Some knees to the body now by Fisher. Back to being pushed against the cage and the crowd isn't loving it. Fisher landed a lot of knees to the body. 10-9 Fisher. Not an entertaining round. Round 2 - Takedown by Uno and they stand. Another takedown attempt and Fisher defends. Two solid leg kicks by Uno and another shot is stuffed. Fisher lands a knee to the body and then ends up on bottom. Nice sweep to get back to the feet by Spencer. Again they clinch against the cage. I like Uno but this fight isn't going to keep him on main cards in the future. Takedown attempt by Fisher and uno ends up on top. They end up standing though. 10-9 Uno I guess. This fight is ugly and not very entertaining. Round 3 - Nice left hand by Fisher and Uno immediately tries for a takedown. Not much action at all this round. Fisher unloads with a few punches and a knee to the body and Uno gets a takedwoan and gets the mount. Uno landing some nice shots from on top and Fisher briefly got half buard back but Uno back to mount and he lands some more shots. 10-9 round for Uno and I guess he wins 29-28. Official Scorecards: 29-28 across the board for Spencer Fisher. Spencer Fisher wins by unanimous decision.

Mike Swick vs. Ben Saunders - Round 1 - Saunders pulls guard right away. Swick is landing some punches to the body but Saunders has control over Swick's body. Swick asks if Saunders is going to hold him all night. Saunders says "lets stand back up bitch." They speak better with their mouthpieces in than I do. They're stood back up. They each land some shots and clinch up again against the cage. Knee to the head by Saunders. The round ends and I guess it was 10-9 Swick. Round 2 - Head kick blocked by Swick. Swick grabs a clinch and gets a takedown and ends up in full mount. Saunders gets guard back. Saunders now locks up a body triangle but had to let go. They're stood back up. Swick with a knee and Saunders with one in return. Swick lands a big flurry and Saunders goes down! The fight is over! Mike Swick wins by TKO (punches), round 1.

Mirko Cro-Cop Filipovic vs. Mustapha Al-Turk - Round 1 - Right hand by Al-Turk lands flush. Takedown attempt is shrugged off. Al-Turk is pressing and throwing a lot but hasn't really landed since the first punch. Cro Cop's hands look really slow.Punches lnad for Mirko now and Al-Turk is running away. Al-Turk is down! Mirko has him stand up. Mirko lands a shot and Al-Turk turns away. Many punches and the fight is stopped. Mirko Filipovic wins by TKO (punches), round 1. Very clear that the final flurry was started by a very bad eye poke by Mirko.

Cain Velasquez vs. Cheick Kongo - Round 1 - Kongo jabbing early. Two big right hands rock Cain and he still manages to get a takedown. He was hurt badly. Kongo stands up and they're scrambling. Cain learned awful quickly that he isn't good enough standing to play that game with Kongo. Cain with side control and Kongo lands a few elbows, now full mount. Kongo gives up his back and Cain with a choke attempt. Kongo avoida and again gives up his back. Cain is just mugging him on the ground. Kongo gives up his back again and eats a lot of shots. Kongo is constantly trying to get up but Velasquez is controling him and landing a lot of dammage. They stand and again big takedown by Cain, and into full mount. Gives up his back again and now is mounted again. The round is going to end and thank god he rocked Cain early because otherwise it'd have been 10-8. 10-9 Cain. Round 2 - Kongo hurts him again but for some reason clinches with him. Takedown now by Cain because Kongo decided to spend a bunch of time clinching with him. Cain on top landing shots again. Not a lot else to say but that Cain is landing a lot of punches. They stand for a second and Cain with a takedown. More dominant position and damage from Cain. Knees to the body by Cain. The round ends and 10-9 again. Round 3 - A big right by Kongo again but he's grappling with Cain again. Kongo gets the takedown but ends up on bottom shortly anyway. They stand up and Kongo defends the takedown. Kongo hurts him again! But charges in so recklessly that he gets taken down again. Cain in the mount landing punches and now Kongo trying to punch up at him. The round ends and 10-9 again (but feel free to score any of them 10-8) 30-27 on my card. Official Scorecards: no scorecards given, Cain Velasquez wins by unanimous decision.

Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva - Round 1 - Feeling out for over a minute. Straight left by Franklin misses. Each guy lands a left. Both guys land punches again. Body kick by Rich lands. High kick by Wanderlei just misses. Wanderlei catches a body kick and takes Rich down. Some GNP by Silva and now they stand. Silva tries to lock in a guillotine and instead ends up on bottom. Rich opens up a cut over Wanderlei's eye and gets mount but they go back to standing. 10-9 Franklin. Round 2 - Rich says he broke Wanderlei's nose. They come out and again it is at a distance where Silva is not going to be able to easilly win and Rich can get in and out safely. Rich with a few nice shots. It's more of the same with Rich standing outside and getting in and out while Wanderlei telegraphs his shots and can't land. It's an active fight but very repetitive so there isn't a lot to type here. Left/right combo buckles Rich a little bit. Wanderlie is pushing forward and landing shots but Rich comes back and lands one of his own. The round ends with both guys looking a bit shaken. Very close round but I guess 10-9 Franklin for controling more of the round. Round 3 - Franklin is picking him apart again now. Body kicks and occasional straight punches. Body kick lands to Wanderlei's cup but they keep going. Big shot by Franklin. Silva gets the clinch and hits a knee. They are trading big shots now and Wanderlei is winning the exchange. Takedown by Rich but Silva is able to tand back up. The fight ends with Wanderlei throwing a bunch of back elbows and Right throwing punches. 10-9 Silva. Another pretty hard round to score. 29-28 Franklin in my book. Official Scorecardsgive it to Franklin across the board. Rich Franklin wins by unanimous decision.

Since the overseas shows always lead to a lot of confusion on how we will be handing the show I wanted to clarify how we'll be handing our coverage of UFC 99 on Saturday.

I will be liveblogging the event on the front page starting with the 3:00pm Eastern broadcast. The results will be on the front page as they happen. After a lot of thought we decided that something is no longer a "spoiler" once it airs on a broadcast that is available to anyone. So if you want to wait until the evening broadcast and do not want to be "spoiled" stay away from the site until you watch the card. Nate will also be providing his "fight by fight recaps" with the live broadcast.

I just wanted to be up front with everyone so no one has the show ruined for them if they aren't watching the live broadcast. If you are watching at 3:00 please join us for our live coverage, if you're waiting for the late broadcast come back once it ends to share your thoughts on how things went down.

Jens says that he started there and wants to retire there so he said he is done. It's time honestly, the crowd gives him a great reaction. Good for Jens. Actually now he says he may not be done but it sounds like he is. We'll see.

Faber grabs a deep choke with about two minutes left but he has to let go. Back to standing and Brown has him against the fence. Brown with a nice double-leg that should clinch the round for him. Elbow by Faber and time expires. 10-9 Brown again and I had it 49-46. It'd take robbery for this to not be a win for Brown. Official Scorecards: 49-46 x2, 48-47. Mike Brown wins by unanimous decision.
