Hey guys! I'm sure many of you know who Adam Conley is, he was our Friday night starter last year and went on to be drafted by the Miami Marlins in the second round of last summers draft.

I just recently caught up with Adam and posted my interview with him over on my blog. If you're interested in how he's doing, head on over!

Hey everyone! I'm not from around here, but I do cover the baseball team up here at Washington State University.

I'm sure many of you are aware of who Adam Conley is, as the Marlins drafted him in the second round last year. Well Adam went to WSU and so I just caught up with him for a quick interview.

He's been doing pretty great for you guys down in Greensboro, it's been fun to watch.

Anyways, just though maybe some of you would be interested to read my interview with him. If so, follow the link!

Hopefully you guys are cool with a little quick self-promotion! I just wrote this over at my blog, and thought maybe some of you might enjoy it.

Also, I'd love to hear about some of your favorite memories in the comments here or on my post. I think it would make a great blog post.

I've never done this before, so if self-promotion is frowned upon here, feel free to take this down.

I wrote a little piece about my favorite memory in sports, just happens to take place at Safeco! Thought maybe some people here would be interested in it.

CougCenter No Seriously, Start Using Twitter

I'm just one man, but I'm one man armed with a pretty sizable "Following" list on Twitter. I'm here to save you, the very few of you who still might be resisting the Twittdemic. Please, to better your fan experience, sign up for Twitter.

Looking for breaking news? Twitter has it. Looking to interact with your favorite players and coaches? Twitter has you covered. Find yourself wanting insightful, well thought-out commentary? Hey, Twitter has that! Even if all you want is a constant stream of screenshots, .GIF's and videos. Twitter. Has. Everything.

I'm hoping that this list will be helpful even for people already on Twitter. I just wanted to get all the Cougar related Twitter accounts out there in one place.

What I'll do for you all here is break down my "Following" list into a few categories and from there I'll give a short reason as to why you should be following this person. Nothing here is in any particular order, just whoever I scroll to first on my list.

For those of you interested in baseball, this is quite a good read. And for the WSU tie-in: WSU associate professor engineering Lloyd Smith was a co-author of the paper covered in this article.

I know I know. It's blatant self-promotion, and I'm sorry. I tried to have this up in time for Jeff to link to it in his MLB Draft article but couldn't scrap together the time at work to get it out soon enough. Anyways, it's up now and I thought I'd share the link. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Lookout Landing Time For An Apology

Hey there, LookoutLanding. My name is Brett Gleason, and I've been reading/occasionally commenting here for about two years now. Now I titled this "Time For An Apology" because it's intended to be just that, an apology.

About a year and a half ago my first FanPost on here stirred up quite a bit of anger, mostly directed at me, because I was pretty rude. I posted an idea of mine that had already been posted earlier without realizing it, and when I was called out for reposting old news I lashed out.

I'd also like to apologize to one user in particular, Eyebrows. Most of my misdirected anger was sent your way and I'm sorry for that.

I've been slowly starting to comment again and so far no one has brought up the incident again, however I still felt compelled to post this here before I decide to start regularly commenting.

I hope you can accept my apology and we can move past what happened because I love this blog and would greatly like to start contributing.

It's raining here, hard. Supposed to tomorrow too, so we'll see if this doubleheader ever actually happens
EDIT: The Washington State/BYU doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m., Tuesday.

How weird is this stat?
Cougars record when:

WSU hits 0 home runs 5-2
WSU hits 1 home run 4-0
WSU hits 2+ home runs 0-2

Take away message: Don’t hit two or more HRs in a game?

"That’s HR number one boys! Now stop it!"

I asked Donnie about this after Tuesdays game and he said Chad would most likely make first start of the season on Sunday. This press release would seem to confirm that.

Just got the email from Sports Information on the weekend schedule, so here it is!

Todays postponed game is moved to Saturday, turning Saturday into a doubleheader. First game will start at Noon and go 9 innings. Second game will start soon after the first, and go 7 innings.

Sunday game scheduled for Noon is staying as scheduled.

Sorry for linking to my blog as a source again, I promise it's reliable!

"My oh My", the Niehaus tribute song by Macklemore is I'm sure something you've all heard. Tonight, Macklemore started his nationwide tour at WSU and I'm happy to say he is including "My oh My" in his set list! I couldn't be more excited this song will be played across the country.

CougCenter CougCenter Fantasy Baseball

Well as I'm assuming most of you know, it's almost baseball season! Pitchers and catchers report on Sunday (at least for the Mariners) and that means Spring Training is just around the corner. So I'm not sure if it's been done around here before (I can't remember one way or the other) so I thought I'd throw the idea out there. I created a fantasy baseball league on ESPN and was wondering if you awesome people would be interesting in filling out that league. I have the number of teams set at 12 currently but I can expand it to 20 if we think it's feasible and we have enough interest.

If you are interested post your email in the comments section and I'll shoot an invite your way. Let's please keep this league for people who at least somewhat know what they're doing and will keep their team up and running well. We don't want any teams going uncared for and falling apart.

It's a pretty standard league with mostly everything sticking to the basic ESPN settings. One thing of note I did change however was the waiver wire/transaction and how it functions. I read an article FAAB (free agent acquisition budget) style waiver wires and it sounds like a great idea. For more info on the system, read this article.

Right now it's set up as an auction draft, but if we'd prefer we can change it up, we'll see what kind of input we get.

So, like I said, leave your email in the comments section if you'd like to join. If this is something that's already been done and is planned on happening again, I'll step aside and let it be handled.

Hey guys, don't know if you knew but I've gotten around to running my own WSU baseball blog. This is my most recent post, thought it was worth sharing with you guys. Let me know what you think!

Article written by Adam Lewis (a colleague of mine) and I about the 2011 WSU baseball season. He wrote the first half, the second half (stats portion) was written by me.

Biggest news here, Chad Arnold is out the first 4-5 weeks of the season with an elbow injury.

"Washington State University wide receiver Marquess Wilson has been named a First-Team Freshman All-American by CollegeFootballNews.com, Rivals.com and Phil Steele, it was announced Tuesday."

Great for him, he absolutely deserves this recognition. I couldn't be more excited for this kids future.

Sounds like Montgomery is going to apply for a medical hardship waiver. I'd agree with Wulff that he most likely won't be approved. Just one season (mostly) of sitting isn't enough usually to get these granted.
