I'm just wondering what pitch that was that tailed away from a lefty at 89 mph. It's either an dirty two-seamer, a fucking ridiculous change, or... a split?

Is there any chance at all that Felix is throwing a splitter? I doubt he would with a full count and two guys on, but then again it's Felix.

We should also trade for Micah Owings to play Right Field.

This is all still really blurry to me. The media love him for postseason heroics, clearly. Francona doesn't want to put too much pressure on him by putting him at the top of the order. He's not playing center when Crisp plays.

What's going to happen with him this year? What 2008 player forecast do you think best resembles his probable performance for the upcoming season?

I've seen both these guys play from the early stages in their careers. I wonder if with all the hype of Ellsbury, I'm unfairly but naturally wanting T-Buck to be the one with more potential. Marcel's has them as virtual equals, but with neither getting as many at bats as I think they will. I'm just looking for some insight because their immediate futures is somewhat of an enigma to me right now.

So Ichiro has a few more successful seasons under his belt to fend off criticism? When will the day of looking past Spring stats come to be?

What pitcher(s) would you be willing to part with in order to get Matt Kemp from the Dodgers? They say they want a starter in return.

More of what I'm wondering, because the M's aren't going to get him, is what would be the prospect pitcher's comparison to him? He's very talented, but I'm not sure how he ranks exactly.

Thoughts?

(This article put in front of my eyes thanks to the wonderful people at firejoemoorgan.com)

Sorry about the link but I'm not sure how to make it all neat...

But seriously, check out his answer to the first question. If our guys could talk confidently about half of those statistic values I would be amazed.

Advanced statistics? check.

Recognizing the importance of young talent vs. huge FA signings? check. (In all fairness, Bavasi has helped rebuild our farm system...)

Creative trades? check.

Obviously these are just words as of now, but I get the feeling that if we had this type of guy (cough, Chris Antonetti), we would be vastly improved in an instant... or at least an offseason.

Let The Sexual Innuendo Competition (SIC) BEGIN!

In a matchup we're destined to lose, "Ho" tries to outduel the opponent's Wang in a fight to see who can come out on top. Will the Wang be able to get his balls on the ground as he usually does, or will Seattle knock the Yankees' Wang around until Torre has to pull out due to the M's going too deep? We'll see if either of these pitchers blow their wad too early, as the M's and Yankees try to castrate the playoff hopes of the other.

This is just a start, but how far can we take this sexual innuendo thing?

If I'm the only one finding humor in a Ho/Wang matchup, so be it...

I hope it can stay somewhat clean, but whatever happens at lookoutlanding stays at lookoutlanding.

Adam Jones just went deep for the SECOND time today, bringing his 6th inning line to 2/3, 2HR, 4RBI.

So my question is: What is the best we could get in a trade for Ibanez and/or Vidro?

IMO the sooner we trade one of those guys for anything, we will be a better club because we'll have Jones out there...
I'm hoping to get young guys who are potential contributors down the road back in return for either of Vidro or Raul.

What say you guys?

To have the Lookout Landing logo be not sinking. I mean, I know we're on a sort of lose 5 win 5 streak, but still... Just put USS Putz on the side of the ship and call it good to float in the Sound.

BTW- I think that the 300 character limit is a great idea. I mean, what would we ever do without having to write 300 characters? I think I'll just try and make some of you guys (and Deanna) think a little bit...

"We get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."
