ESPN "Experts" Choose Us for Title
I was interested to see that the majority of the so-called "experts" and writers over at ESPN selected us to win the Pac 10 tourney.
Check it out.
Sharks to add Souray?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=ap-oilers-souraywaivers
okay I know that his name used to be brought up as a possible blue-line reinforcement, but now imo, is the perfect time to grab him and give up....next to nothing. Yea, we have Ian White now, but why not add another puck moving d man? I know he's not the "cure all" for our ailments in the back but he's a nice pickup for a few bucks instead of trading Gooch for a high profile guy. Lets go Dougie.
How Much Trouble...
Will i get in for throwing a dead duck or two on the field before/during the game? I'm a huge San Jose Sharks fan, and when we threw a baby shark on the ice last year with a octopus sewn inside the mouth-it was potentially one of the biggest motivators for us to overcome the Red Wings as it sparked the crowd into a frenzy. Sounds like a potentially realllllllyyy bad idea....but so legendary if it gets pulled off, maybe by a group of fans.
Thank You Mr Ovechkin
So most informed fans have become aware of the Ovechkin/Campbell incident the other day. From my point of view, AO did us quite a favor.
Let me clarify that I am not an advocate of one player injuring another for whatever reason. But if I had to pick a player that I would want out for the rest of the season and into the playoffs from the 'Hawks it would go Kane and Johnny-boy easily number one and two, but then Brian Campbell. Quite possibly the glue that holds that team together, the former Shark is out for the remainder of the season. The Blackhawks will be missing him most on the powerplay, as he was a "quarterback" of sorts-their Dan Boyle. I can't help but think that our path to the number 1 seed just got a wee bit easier...
Any Sharks Fans in Malibu?
I go to Pepperdine University in Malibu and im just lookin for people to watch the games with or go to the Kings or Ducks games down here. Especially come first round of the playoffs when we have the 8th seeded kings.
Also just wanted to question the deal for the Carolina defenseman. I am aware that he plays well in his own zone and takes faceoffs well. But are we supposed to believe that his playoff experience is the missing piece of the puzzle and that he is worth one of our young guns?
