So, folks from the second league, now that Travis has abandoned it, anyone care to join a Broadstreet Hockey league? I'm going to cap the teams at 12, on a first come first serve basis. If we get the interest, I'll start it up within the week.

Other thoughts.
Can we get some kind of Chat room bullshit for game nights? IRC, Java, etc?
Stat I haven't seen mentioned anywhere prominently, the flyers 2 away wins to open the season are a team first. Now a home win, I'm stoked.
It was good to see the Flyers dig down deep in the 3rd and OT. My money's on locker room additions for that change.
Briere is back, just in time for Gagne to be sub-par. Be nice to see both of them firing.

Richards needs to be sent to the AHL, stripped of the C, and Carter needs to be put on the 4th line. Their performances tonight catalyzes the Flyers position as a Cellar Dweller this season. Also, Fire Emery and JVR. JVR contributed to the goals scored against the flyers. What was he, -4 tonight? Son of a bitch!

"Detroit signed Todd Bertuzzi to a one-year, $1.5 million contract Tuesday in the hopes that the veteran forward can help make up for some of the Red Wings' significant losses."
Big Bert and Prospal go for dirt cheap, while the Bullies go after supposed "Value" picks. Frustrating. Anyone else annoyed with the lack of progress with free agents? Sure, Lappy might work out. But we're still stuck with Jones, and still haven't given ourselves some obvious talent down deep.
