 Long story short, my wife bought me Madden 10 for Christmas and I just got around to opening it last week.  Love playing it (not very good yet) but have a couple of questions.  I have read on here and elsewhere that you can put Tebow in as quarterback and give the defenses fits because of his scrambling ability.  My first question is how the heck do you even get him on the roster?  Second question is about the running game, I can't run worth a darn.  Is there something I am missing, I follow the blocker I am supposed to follow and use the stiff arm, spin move etc with no luck.  Like I said I am a total newbie at this and any help would be appreciated.

  I am going to change things up a bit here folks.  I am going to draft based on the theory that Brandon Marshall remains a Bronco.  He will sign a huge incentive based contract and he and McDaniels will hug on national television during the announcement.

  With this in mind this is my draft scenario.  Denver trades Tony Scheffler to Washington for a 5th round pick, works well for both of us since they could use Tony for more of what he is, a receiving TE and we don't have a 5th round pick as it stands.

 now on to the draft, with the scenario playing out like I have it here our draft would look something like this. I will predict through round 5 since this is my very first attempt at a mock draft.

Round #1 Pick 10 (assuming we win the coin toss)

Round #2 Pick 45

Round #3 Pick 80

Round #4 Pick 111

Round #5 Pick 131

Ok, here it goes

Round #1 the Broncos take

Rolando McClain

Ht/Wt: 6-4/249 lbs
Position:ILB
Drafted From:Alabama
Class:Junior

No surprise here, if McClain is available we have to take him IMO.

Round #2 the Broncos take

Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida

Not going to say much on this pick as I think it is pretty obvious that we need a new center and I think Pouncey has all the tools to be an elite center in the NFL.  Some might say round 2 is a bit high to take a center.  I disagree and think we take the best player for our needs and that player is Pouncey.

Round #3 the Broncos take

Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas

What can I say, I love this kid.  He is a great slot receiver, has great hands and reminds me a lot of  "Fast Eddie McCaffrey".  Takes the licking and keeps on ticking.

Round #4 the Broncos take

George Selvie, DE, South Florida

Selvie may not be around this late but for fun I am going to say he is and we take him. He is 6'4" and 250 lbs and had a bit of a drop off in production this year so there is actually a chance he could fall to us here.

Round #5 the Broncos take

Jon Asamoah, OG, Illinois

Another pick that likely won't be there for us this late, but since this is as much of a wish list as a mock I am going to say he is and we take him.  Stranger things have happened.

I decided to look at the Broncos from a little different perspective. The McGeorge approach if you will. I think maybe I am as guilty as any when it comes to the "koolaid" , or "orange colored glasses. Now I am by no means a football expert, but I am capable of making observations (a lot more now than a few moths ago, thanks to MHR). Now, when I sit down and say to myself. Self, what exactly is it that went wrong for the Broncos this year? guess I gotta jump now.

 Since I started coming to MHR I realize that I am in a place with like thinking people.  This got me to thinking. 

1)  Are we fooling ourselves?  I mean really, are we going to be a much better team?

2) Are we the ones that are going to look like fools at seasons end?

3) Is the MSM really right and Denver will be a non factor in the AFC West?

4) Do we just say what we want to hear so we can fell better about our football team?

  I come to MHR several times every day, I bleed Orange and Blue!  I love the well written, well thought out articles I find here.  I find myself more excited about the upcoming season by the day.  I guess what I am asking is this.   Does everyone here actually believe we are going to be a contender for the West this year as I have come to believe? Maybe some amongst our ranks actually do not believe this at all?  Maybe they are just following the pack because you want so deeply for them to be right?

  I will admit that sitting there watching the draft I was infuriated at first when we took Moreno.  I came here and read what all of you had to say and felt much better about the pick within minutes.  This is exactly what I am talking about, is it real optimism or are we just trying to validate our team?  Do any of you have feelings that differ from that of the rest of us at MHR and are just going with the flow?  The reason I ask is this......I truely believe that we are a contender this year. Why?  Because of you!  You made me a believer, and I just want to know that you all truly believe!  I rarely see any post on here that are negative about the direction of this team and I feel this lends to more positive thinking.  Just some rants, maybe I am looking for my own validation.  Let me know your thoughts.

Anybody catch "the sheinbox" on foxsports.com entitled  "Broncos stil stink"  by who else but the no nothing nerd Adam Schein?  Pretty much just another rant on how we did absolutely nothing to improve our team this year.  I can't wait until mid season so I can remind him just how wrong he was!  Here is a link for anybody who wants a good laugh. I only recently found this site and have found myself coming back here several times a day for the last month or so.  I finally signed up today and will be a member as long as this site exists!  The people here are something else.  I find myself reading articles on ESPN, Foxsports or any main stream sithe and then coming here to see what the real experts have to say about it.  No bashing, no berating, just straight up Broncos talk.  Love it!  Keep up the good work gang, so I can keep coming back to get my Broncos FIX!  I am on the bandwagon bfree2bronc 13-3 baby!
