Bronco Billy

May 09, 2008 Sep 17, 2008 2 136

Started loving the Broncos when I was young and was first introduced to football. Born, raised, and currently live in the Chicago 'burbs with my wife. I'm a statistician, she's a teacher (1st Grade).

We make 3-4 games each year. This year we intend to make 11. I always dreamt of making every home game in a season; that's our goal this year before we start having kids. We also intend to make @KC, @ Jets, and @Carolina this year. So far, we've watched our beloved Broncos in Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indy, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, and Arizona. My first game, I watched TD rush for his 2000th yard against Seattle in Denver. It was my lone trip to Denver for a game. So, we're pretty excited about going to Invesco and not getting cursed at or having beer thrown on us for over half the games this year!

My two favorite Broncos memories were 1) Elway's leap in SB XXXII and 2) sitting down and talking with Cutler's parents at a Cleveland bar - really great people.

First game at Invesco!

After years of travelling the road to see our beloved Broncos, my wife and I finally made it to Invesco.  Couldn't ask for a better game - except that I'm more of a defensive guy and cringe at the thought of giving up 38 points, but that's another story.

In my two home games, I've seen Elway's 300th TD pass, TD's 2000th yard in a season, Cutler throw for 350 and 4 TDs, Marshall grab 18 receptions, and Shanahan showing the NFL who has "los cajones más grandes de el NFL".

Trying to remain unbiased, Invesco is one of the greatest venues in the NFL.  The only stadiums that I've been to that compare is Lambeau Field in terms of fans.  Although Arizona and Cincinnati have very nice stadiums.  I've heard Heinz Field is a great venue as well, but haven't been there personally yet.

Hats off to Jeremy Bates' play-calling (and to Shanny for handing over the reins to him).  It's hard to argue with 40 pts / game!  ... just my $0.02.

Broncos Trivia

(This is my first fanpost, so I hope you guys like it.)

Here's a little Broncos trivia to wet your lips during the offseason.  Since you guys are really knowledgable about the Broncos, I figured I'd try to make this a little more difficult.

I'll post the answers tomorrow evening.
