I have been a Denver Broncos fan since I was a little kid watching John Elway play with the kind of spirit that made me a fan.

Currently live in Denver Colorado with my girlfriend Tracy. I have gone to 4 games this year (Seattle , Indy , NY Jets and the raider game).

Mile High Report Best Player Available Mock Draft

I think that The Denver Broncos will stick to their plan of drafting The Best Player Available philosophy. I think that if Cox , Poe or Brockers are sitting their at 25 that The Broncos will draft one of those players. Players like Still , Worthy and Reyes all are good players but are they 1st Round Players or BPA at 25 = I don't think so. Team needs going into draft = DT , RB , CB , LB Free Agency 1. Marcus Thomas = I still think that Denver should resign Thomas - he would be smart to pick Denver too because his Sack #'s should improve with Peyton Manning giving Denver the lead in more games this year. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2012 NFL DRAFT 1st Round Pick ---------------------------------------------- Trade - Denver trades it's 1st Round Pick to the NY Giants for their 1st and 3rd and 6th Round Pick - NY drafts TE Coby Fleener. 1st Round Pick #32 ------------------------------------------ Doug Martin - RB - Boise St - - Denver drafts this excellent RB who is compared to Ray Rice. He would give Peyton Manning a very good RB to team with McGhee. 2nd Round Pick ---------------------------------------------- Josh Chapman - DT - Alabama - 6'1" 312lbs - Chapman is a very strong and stout DT who played in a very good Alabama team. 3rd Round Pick ---------------------------------------------- DeQuan Menzie - CB - Alabama -A very solid CB from Bama. 3rd Round Pick via Giants ----------------------------------- Marvin McNutt - WR - Iowa - a very productive WR 4th Round Pick via Jets ------------------------------------- Nate Potter - T - Boise St - a very solid OT who can backup Franklin/Clady 4th Round Pick ---------------------------------------------- Aikeem Hicks - DT - Regina - a former LSU DT who is 6'5" 318lbs - has ton of potential but needs to be coached up. 5th Round Pick ---------------------------------------------- Donnie Flecther -CB - Boston College - a good CB 6th Round Pick --------------------------------------------- Kellen Moore - QB - Boise St - Moore would be a excellent QB to sit and learn under Manning and hopefully in 3-4 years possibly have a shot like Drew Brees. 6th Round Pick --------------------------------------------- Chris Owusu - WR - Stanford - very solid WR. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Final thoughts Drafting Josh Chapman and Aikeem Hicks at DT and Menzie and Fletcher at CB would give Denver 4 very solid players on Defense. Drafting Doug Martin , Marvin McNutt , Potter and Moore on Offense would also give Denver 4 very good players

Mile High Report Championship Mock Draft!!!

With the draft about 3 weeks away I wanted to post my 1st Mock Draft. I think that John Elway has done a great job in FA with Peyton Manning , Jacob Tamme , Joel Dressen , Mike Adams , Bubba Caldwell. I do think that Elway is going to try to pair Manning with his version of Terrell Davis. Free Agents to be signed 1. Marcus Thomas - DT - I think Thomas will be resigned and will actually have improved #'s in terms of Sacks with Denver having the lead in most games. Trades 1. Mike Wallace - WR - Denver gives Mike Wallace a 5 year $50 million contract that Pittsburgh can't match - Denver gives up it's 1st Round Pick. 2. Jonathon Stewart - RB - Denver trades it's 2nd and 2013 4th Round Pick to Carolina for Stewart. Elway gives Manning a very good RB for the next 4-5 years(not quite Terrell Davis but very solid) NFL DRAFT 3rd Round Pick --------------------- Mike Martin - DT - Michigan - Very hard working DT who will rotate in at DT 4th Round Pick(via Jets) ----------- DeQuan Menzie - CB - Alabama - very solid CB 4th Round Pick---------------------- Dereck Wolfe - DT - Cincinati - another solid DT 5th Round Pick --------------------- Vontaze Burflict - LB - ASU - flyer - has talent needs to mature 6th Round Pick --------------------- Ryan Miller - G - Colorado - big Guard who could be back up _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Final thoughts - I think that Elway will try to pair Manning with his version of TD. It is a proven formula and Jonathon Stewart would be a great addition. I think both Stewart and Wallace are in their Prime and would give Manning 2 Pro Bowl Weapons. I also think with those weapons that the DT position would be fine with Marcus Thomas , Kevin Vickerson , Ty Warren and Mike Martin. Go Broncos!!!!

Mile High Report More thoughts on The Draft and The FUTURE

Well the draft is officially over and I do believe that The Denver Broncos did a very good job.  I think the players we draft will all be very good building blocks to a Great Team.  I was surprised that we didn't draft a RB and a DT.  I thought we would draft one of each.  I think that the team needs going into Free Agency is exactly that 1-2 DT's and 1-2 RB's.

3 Players I think we STOLE -   Quinton Carter , Virgil Green and Jeremy Beal.

Here is my grades on Denver's Draft

Poll
Which player do you think is the Steal of the 2011 Draft???
1. Von Miller - hard to be a steal at #2
4 votes
2. Rahim Moore - #1 rated Safety
5 votes
3. Orlando Franklin - Nasty RT

4. Nate Irving - could he be Al Wilson Jr

Mile High Report Falcons tried to trade with Denver for AJ Green/Julio Jones

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/02/falcons-tried-to-climb-to-no-2-overall-pick/

I saw this on denverbroncos.com and thought it was interesting.

Denver could have come away with a BOAT load of draft picks.

From Atlanta = Picks #26, #54, #108, 2012 1st round pick, 2012 3rd Round pick, 2012 4th round pick.

Poll
If you were running The Denver Broncos would you have made the trade with Atlanta for their 1st , 2nd and 2012 1st , 3rd and 4th Round Picks.
Yes - Denver still could have drafted M. Wilkerson, Bruce Carter , R. Moore.

Mile High Report I picked 1 player right(wrong round) - A look at The Denver Broncos 2011 NFL Draft

I will say that I continue to be wrong on my picks for The Denver Broncos.  The only player that I picked correctly(wrong round - 4th not 6th) is Julius Thomas - TE - Portland St.

After listening to Elway , Fox , Xanders I do believe that Denver came away with 4 Starters right now.   Von Miller OLB ,  Rahim Moore - FS , Orlando Franklin RT and Nate Irving MLB.

I also believe that they may get 2-3 more STARTERS in year 2 or 3.   Julius Thomas TE , Quinton Carter and possibly Virgil Green.

More thoughts on The Denver Broncos Draft and Free Agency.

Poll
If Denver can resign Marcus Thomas who would you want in Free Agency
Brandon Mebane - 6'1" 311lbs - DT - Seattle

Barry Cofield - 6'4" 305lbs - DT - NY Giants

Justin Bannan - 6'3" 315lbs - DT - Denver

Mile High Report I officially suck at The Draft - and some randon thoughts

Well 3 rounds down and I still have been dumb founded by what The Denver Broncos do regardless if it is Josh McDaniels drafting or John Elway and John Fox.

I remember in the 2009 NFL Draft I wanted BJ Raji and Rey Maualuga and we drafted Knowshon Moreno and Robert Ayers.

This year barring a trade down I would have drafted Marcell Dareus and Bruce Carter.

So I am officially going on record that I am clueless.

Poll
In the 4th Round who would you want????
Marcus Cannon = All Pro Guard or RT(my opinion)
8 votes
Kendall Hunter = very good RB
5 votes
DaNorris Searcy = SS

DeAndre McDaniels = SS

Jalil Brown = CB

Jerrell Powel = DT

Mile High Report Which combo DT/LB would you want???

The last couple of days I keep hearing that Von Miller is going to be The Denver Broncos pick if we stay at #2.  And while I would not be upset at all I still really like Marcell Dareus.  So I was thinking and wanted to see which combo of DT/LB people here on Milehighreport would want.

I personally hope that Denver trades down with San Fran , Tennessee or Washington and pick up 1-2 extra picks and drafts Nick Fairley.

Ideally The Washington Redskins trade this years 1st and 2nd and 2012 1st Round Pick to Denver and we still get Nick Fairley.

On to the post

Mile High Report My draft thoughts - 1 day til the draft

I am starting to get EXCITED.   I can't wait til tommorow and I truly think that The Denver Broncos are in great hands with John Elway , John Fox and Brian Xanders.  I thank God that Josh McDaniels is gone and his terrible drafts.  I firmly believe that The Broncos are going to be a much Improved team next year with John Fox being the Head Coach.

Here are some of my thoughts

Poll
Besides The Tennessee Titans in the top 10 , do you see any other team drafting Nick Fairley????
Yes - I think someone would draft him top 10.

No - Tennessee is the only team in the top 10 who would draft him

Mile High Report My Dream Mock Draft - Denver Reloads with Talent

Well only 3 days until the NFL draft and this is my dream Mock Draft.  I think that Denver has a bunch of team needs DT , RT , RB , S , TE , LB , CB.  In my perfect scenario The Denver Broncos would trade down from #2 and pick up multiple draft picks.

I still stand by my thoughts that The New England Patriots would be smart if they traded up and drafted Von Miller.  Von Miller had 33 Sacks at Texas A&M and had combine #'s that most CB's had at 245lbs.  I think that New England has a bunch of picks and need a Pass Rusher.  He would be a perfect 3-4 OLB for The Patriots.

Trade Idea -  Denver trades it's 1st #2 to New England for both their 1st (17th and 28th) , 2nd (60th)  - This isn't as much as the NFL Draft trade value says you should get but I think Elway would jump at picking up 2 extra prime picks.

Poll
Would you want
Marcell Dareus at 2

Or Phil Taylor , Marvin Austin and Mason Foster for the same pick

Mile High Report A UNC MOCK DRAFT

After listening to Brian Xanders today I believe that Denver has 4-5 guys that they would be happy drafting in the 1st Round.  I think that Denver wants to trade down and that Arizona and San Fran might just trade up and draft Blaine Gabbert.  I actually think Gabbert would do great under Jim Harbaugh in S.F.

Trade - Denver trades it's 1st to San Fran for their 1st , 2nd and 2012 2nd Round PIcks.   Yes this is still under the NFL DRAFT VALUE CHART but I think both teams would benefit from this.

Now to the draft.

Poll
Would you be happy with a bunch of UNC Players - Robert Quinn , Marvin Austin , Bruce Carter and DaNorris Searcy.
Yes - those 4 guys would be a great start to rebuild the defense.

No - I would rather draft some other players.

Mile High Report A trade idea that would make sense and Mock with all new players

8 Days to go until the 2011 NFL Draft.  I have heard that New England is fielding calls to trade up and down from their 2 - 1st Round Picks.  I for one think that New England who is loaded up with Draft picks - 2 - 1st Round PIcks - 2 - 2nd Round Picks and is just loaded with draft picks.

I personally think that New England has a Great Offense but their Defense just isn't that nasty.  I think that if they traded up and Drafted Von Miller that he would Elevate their Defense to Elite level.  If you look at most of the great Defenses they have Great Pass Rushers - Terrell Suggs , James Harrison.  New England has nobody to speak of .  Von Miller who had 33 Sacks at Texas A&M would be a great addition to their defense.

Note - In the past I have regarded the NFL Draft Value Chart to be accurate but thinking about all of The Denver Broncos Needs - DT , RT , RB , LB , TE , S - I think that if given a bunch of picks even if it doesn't equal the trade value that The Denver Broncos should jump at it.

Trade Proposal -   Denver trades it's 1st Round PIck #2 (2600 points) to New England for their 1st(17th) , 1st (28th) , 2nd (60th) and 3rd(74th via Minnesota) = 2130 points.

New England can draft Von Miller and still have a pick in every round. 2nd , 3rd , 4th , 5th , 6th , 7th.

Poll
Do you think this trade (Denver's 1st for New England's 2- 1st , 2nd(60) and 3rd) would be a Win - Win for both teams.
Yes - New England needs a Elite Pass Rusher and Denver needs picks
62 votes
No - Denver should just stay at #2
55 votes
No - New England won't trade up.

Mile High Report If Mark Ingram is there in the 2nd Round(#36) do you want him

Alg_mark-ingram_medium

I have been watching NFL network everyday with the draft almost here and there is speculation that Mark Ingram is slipping in the draft and might not be drafted in the 1st Round.  I think he is a very good RB and plays with a nasty attitude.  He had a Great 10 yard split and reminds me of Emmit Smith.

The question is if he is sitting there at #36 does Denver look , draft or pass on him?

Ingram has had a good career at Alabama scoring a total 42 TD's and had a great 2009 season with over 1600 yards and 20 TD's.

Poll
If Mark Ingram is available in the 2nd Round #36 would you want The Broncos to Draft him???
Yes - he is a great RB and would give Denver a true 1-2 punch.

No - Denver should draft Mikel Leshoure RB Illinios

No - Denver shouldn't draft a RB in the 1st - 3 Rounds.

Mile High Report My thoughts on the draft and Impact Players who I like.

2 Weeks left until the 2011 NFL Draft and I think we are in for another wild Draft.  I think that John Elway would love to trade down from the #2 pick in the draft and pick up some extra picks.

I hope that Carolina drafts Cam Newton and this elevate Blaine Gabbert's draft stock.  Teams like Cincy , Arizona , San Fran , Tennessee , Washington , Vikings all might look to trade up.

My new thought is that San Fran has like 10 draft picks in the 2011 Draft and Blaine Gabbert would make a good pick for Jim Harbaugh.

More after the jump.

Poll
I think it is 80% chance that The Denver Broncos Draft Marcell Dareus at #2 if it can't trade down. If that happens which player in the 2nd Round do you think would have THE BIGGEST IMPACT if Denver drafted him?
Mikel Leshoure - RB - Illinios - John Fox loves running the football and Leshoure would make a BIG IMPACT.
29 votes
Marvin Austin - DT - teaming with Dareus would set Denver up for the future.
53 votes
Bruce Carter - LB - top 15 talent - Denver should draft Carter to improve our Defense.
12 votes
Mason Foster - Very , very solid LB who can help Denver's Defense.
9 votes
Marcus Cannon - OT/G - A road grader on the Oline would really help Denver's Offense.

Mile High Report If there is a new CBA before the draft which QB is traded???

With the news that the judge ordered mediation for the NFL and Players Association there is a possiblity that there is a agreement before the draft.  If this happens which QB gets traded?

I think that a team like Minnesota might trade a 2nd Round Pick for Kyle Orton.

It has been rumored that The New England Patriots might trade a 2nd Round Pick for Tim Tebow or maybe Jacksonville.

Denver could ofcourse try to trade Brady Quinn but that would probably only bring a 5th or 6th Round Pick.

What is sounds like Elway is saying to me is that he isn't sold on either QB.

Kyle Orton is our starter right now. Meaning he is a OK QB but not a Elite QB.

Tim Tebow is a good football player , we HOPE to make him a good QB.   Meaning Tebow is Raw and a Project.

Well if there is a new CBA , I would bet that one or both QB's could be on the trading block.

Poll
If there is a new CBA and Denver trades a QB and drafts a QB who do you think should be traded???
Kyle Orton - that would leave Tebow , Quinn , Kaepernick.
51 votes
Tim Tebow - then Kaepernick could learn from Orton.
2 votes
Both Orton and Tebow - let Brady Quinn play and groom Kaepernick
2 votes
Brady Quinn - for a 6th Rounder
3 votes
None of the QB's - John Elway loves Orton/Tebow and is just kidding.

Mile High Report Broncosfansd's Defensive Mock Draft

Yes I have stated that The Denver Broncos could draft a QB in the upcoming draft.  I do think that the QB's in the draft are heating up and that Denver might be in a great situation to trade down and pick up some very valuable draft picks.  The new rumors are that both Minnesota and Tennessee are interested in drafting Jake Locker.

So we have Carolina , Buffalo , Cincinatti , Arizona , Tennessee , Washington and Minnesota all looking for a QB.  Not to mention Seattle who is picking mid 20's.

Also could Carolina draft Marcell Dareus at #1 - I do think it is possible.

Poll
Do you think that Denver will trade down from the #2 Pick if given a good offer.

Mile High Report More trade down ideas and mock draft.

I again think that if The Denver Broncos can trade down from the #2 pick in the draft that they will jump at the chance.  I think Denver has a ton of needs and only 4 Good Draft Picks.    Denver has a bunch of team needs DT , S , LB , QB , RB , TE , RT and will look to trade down if possible.

The question is will Arizona , Cincinatti , Tennessee , Washington , or The Vikings trade up.

I think Arizona is probably in the best shape to trade up and draft Blaine Gabbert.

Mile High Report EFX - We hope to come away with 4 Starters!!!

Well another crazy year for The Denver Broncos.  I miss Mike Shanahan.  McDaniels ruined this team and put Denver back a couple of years in my mind.  Drafting 5 straight Offensive Players last year - Demaryius Thomas , Tim Tebow , Zane Beadles , JD Walton and Eric Decker.

The news coming out of Dove Valley is that The Denver Broncos hope to come away with 4 Starters in the draft.  They have 4 very good draft picks.

Mile High Report The Broncos draft a QB Mock Draft with a UNC flavor

Yes I know this isn't a very popular topic but it is becoming more and more possible that The Denver Broncos draft a QB.

It just got reported that The Broncos like Colin Kaepernick from Nevada.  Sure this could be speculation but it seems very possible that he is the guy.

Colin Kaepernick is 6'5" 233lbs and does have a very strong arm.

Here we go!

Mile High Report My Dream Mock Draft

I think that most people would agree that Denver has a ton of needs and only has 7 picks with 4 of them being very good picks(1st-3rd Round).   I think that John Elway and John Fox hope that they could trade down from the #2 pick and pick up extra picks.

It has been said that they hope to come away from the draft with 4 Starters.  This is going to be very interesting because this would make me believe that they aren't going to draft 2 DT's then in the 1st 4 picks , because Denver isn't going to start 2 Rookie DT's unless they can possibly trade down.

On to my Mock Draft - JUMP

Mile High Report My Broncos Draft Thoughts

The NFL Draft is now 35 days away and things are definetely getting interesting.  The Broncos have scheduled 5 private visits with the top QB's.   This has caused a uproar in the Tebow fanbase but it is worth watching further.

Team needs going into the draft.

1.      DT -  Denver cut Bannan/Williams and only has 1 real DT under contract in Kevin Vickerson.  Vickerson is a beast and is 6'5" 323lbs and is in his prime , so I am happy Denver resigned him but this is our #1 need.

2.      S -     Brian Dawkins is 37 and is due $6 million.  I highly doubt that he will be back.  Renaldo Hill is 32 and isn't a playmaker.   Darcel McBath has been injury prone and David Bruton is nothing more than a Special Teamer.

3.      Oline -  Ryan Harris isn't under contract and when a New CBA is done is likely going to walk.  Denver only has Zane Beadles who has played RT in the NFL and has T-Rex arms.

4.       TE -   Denver cut Daniel Graham and only has Richard Quinn and Gronkowski on the roster.  Denver is going to probably have to add atleast 1 TE - knowing Fox he will probably use our 6th or 7th Round Pick on this position because he has never really drafted a TE high.

5.       RB -   Yes RB - John Fox loves to run the football and Knowshon Moreno has been injury prone and hasn't really lived up to his 1st Round Draft Status yet.

6.       LB -    Denver has DJ Williams(who will probably be suspended 4 games for his 2nd DUI) and Mario Haggan who they reportedly like alot.  Wesyle Woodyard is a possible starting OLB and Joe Mays has some potential at ILB but Denver could really use some added talent.

Mile High Report If Denver drafts a QB - do you think they should trade Orton/Tebow?

Mile High Report John Elway and John Fox at Missouri's Pro Day

***I closed the comments on this post.  I did so due to the fact that it was headed down a path of pure negativity.  I know this has happened in the past with posts like this, and with certain individuals involved.  I am asking, politely, that it stop now!

Please, by all means, have your opinion - and by all means I want people to feel ok about disagreeing with it, but do so - once! To continue to dwell on a point is tiresome.  Certain people believe that Broncos ownership does not have the hots for Tim Tebow or Kyle Orton.  Other believe that they do. The truth is none of us know for sure how the Broncos feel.  We'll find out at the Draft, then during the summer, then once the season starts.  While I know some people enjoy debating the subject, many do not.

That said, the Fan Posts section is for post's like this.  If you do not like a particular post, or poster, please ignore them.  With over 8000 members we are not all going to agree on everything.  Like any real community of 8000 people, we are going to figure out who we enjoy 'hanging' out with and who we do not.  MHR should be no different.  I hope that makes sense.

-John
John-fox-hired_medium

So what does this say about Denver's draft intentions???  I have said this repeated times that I don't think that John Elway and John Fox are sold on either Kyle Orton or Tim Tebow.

It was also reported that The Denver Broncos are bringing Jake Locker in for a meeting.  Each team only has 30 invites , so this isn't a smoke screen.

What we have here is a team that is kicking the tires on the top QB prospects of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Mile High Report My draft news and thoughts

Von-miller_medium

via www.blogcdn.com

I keep hearing Von Miller's name with The Denver Broncos #2 Pick - My thoughts on Von Miller - I think Miller is a Elite LB and I think that John Fox loves to put pressure on the QB.  I think this is definetely a possiblity with all the good DT's who might be available in the 2nd Round.

Denver has only 1 Elite Front 7 Player in Elvis Dumervil and by drafting Von Miller Denver would have 2.

My question is can Von Miller slide to DE on passing downs and rush the passer???

Mile High Report 45 Days til the NFL Draft Mock Draft

Well the draft is 45 days from now and we don't have alot of clarity on a New CBA or Free Agency.  I think that Denver is going into the draft and will try to fill as many holes on the team as possible.

My new big board

1.      Marcell Dareus - 6'3" 319lbs - DT - Alabama

2.      Von Miller - 6'3" 245lbs - OLB - Texas A&M

3.      Nick Fairley - 6'4" 297lbs- DT - Auburn

4.      DaQuan Bowers - 6'3" 280lbs - DE - Clemson

5.      Patrick Peterson - 6'0" 219lbs - CB/S - LSU

Poll
Would you be happy if Denver drafted Marcell Dareus and Marvin Austin in the 2011 NFL Draft?
Yes that would be 2 Great young DT's to build a great defense of off.

Mile High Report Would you trade 1 possible elite player for 3-5 very good players?

With Cam Newton and Blaine Gabbert seemingly gaining more and more steam going into the draft , it is becoming more and more possible that a team(Washington Redskins , Arizona , Tennessee , Cincy , Vikings)

So the question is if Denver is given the chance to trade down and acquire more picks - do they do it???

Yes - for sure - Hayneworth , Phil Taylor and Marvin Austin would give Denver a great Dline.

Mile High Report Blaine Gabbert with the #2

Before everyone blows a gasket , this could be possible.  Once again I do not think that John Elway is sold on either Kyle Orton or Tim Tebow.  I think that he is going to keep all the options on the board.  It was reported that Elway/Fox are going to Auburn's ProDay to look at Cam Newton and Nick Fairley.

So here is goes

Poll
Would Blaine Gabbert be a upgrade over Kyle Orton/Tim Tebow????
Over Kyle Orton for sure.

Over Tim Tebow for sure.

Mile High Report A John Fox Mock Draft - with Free Agents

I have been on the Marcell Dareus bandwagon now for a while but I still think that John Fox loves his DE and that DaQuan Bowers and Von Miller  are  still in play with the #2 Pick.  I was listening to Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post on 87.7  this morning and he said that Dareus is good but isn't sure he is worthy of the #2 Pick.  He went on to say that Bowers and Von Miller are still in play there.  I think that John Fox loves to pressure the QB and that both those players could put alot of pressure on opposing teams.

I also think that there should be some good DT's in the 2nd Round who could become very good NFL Players.  Phil Taylor , Stephen Paea , Marvin Austin , Kendrick Ellis , Jarvis Jenkins.

Poll
If Denver could draft both DaQuan Bowers and Phil Taylor would this be a great draft???
Yes - that is 1 Elite DE and 1 HUGE DT
126 votes
No - Denver needs more than those 2.

Mile High Report Building a Great Team thru the draft - Mock Draft.

The more and more I think about the Draft - the more I believe that The Denver Broncos will draft Marcell Dareus.  He reminds me of BJ Raji of The Green Bay Packers.  At 6'3" 319lbs he has a huge base and would make a great addition to the Broncos Dline.

I also think that with Champ resigning and Goodman under contract for 1 more year and Perrish Cox who some scouts said had 1st Round Talent (innocent until proven guilty) and throw in SydQuan Thompson , the Broncos are in good shape at CB.

Team needs going into the draft.

1.     DT - Only Justin Bannan and Jamaal Williams(who I think will be cut) are under contract.  Denver is going to try to resign Marcus Thomas and Kevin Vickerson but that is still up in the air.

2.     S -   Brian Dawkins is due $6 million and looks OLD.  Renaldo Hill stinks in coverage and isn't very good. Darcel McBath is always hurt and David Bruton is only a special teamer.

3.     Oline - Yes - Ryan Harris isn't under contract and besides Zane Beadles we don't have a RT.

4.     RB -  Knowshon Moreno is a decent player but has yet to live up to his 1st Round Status.

5.     TE -  Daniel Graham just got cut and Denver is probably going to draft a TE.

Poll
Would you be disappointed if Denver drafted Marcell Dareus with the #2 Pick in the Draft???
Yes - I want Bowers , Peterson , Miller or Fairley
55 votes
No - I think it would give Denver a STUD DT for years!!!!

Mile High Report Patrick Peterson at Safety - Mock Draft

I have gone on and on how I don't think Denver should draft Patrick Peterson to play CB but I have to admit that if we were drafting him to play FS that I would be on board.  I think that at 6'0" 219lbs he would make one heck of a Free Safety and could possibly give Denver a Ed Reed / Troy Polamalo type Safety.

John Elway said of Defensive Backs - only the ones with ball skills scary me.  Peterson sitting there at Safety would have to scare alot of QB's.

I do think that Denver is in pretty good shape at CB - Champ , Goodman , Cox(who some say has 1st Round Talent and is innocent until proven guilty) and SydQuan Thompson make a pretty scrappy group.

I also think there might be some DT's in the 2nd Round who would be solid additions to the team.  Phil Taylor , Marvin Austin(who is showing at The Combine that he really trained hard) , Kendrick Ellis , Jarvis Jenkins and Stephen Paea.

Poll
Do you think Patrick Peterson would be a good pick at Safety for The Denver Broncos???
Yes - he might be the next Ed Reed/ Troy Polamalo

No - Denver must go Front 7 - Dareus , Fairley , Bowers , Miller.
