OC Bruins: Wooden Classic Tix (Only $20 ea.!)

The OC Bruins are again selling tix to the Wooden Classic for $20 each in sections 433, 434, and 435 (which normally cost $26.50 + ticketmaster fees). Last year we sold close to 300 tix! You can purchase them here

Date: December 13, 2008

Details: Cheer your UCLA Bruins when they play the DePaul Blue Demons in the John R. Wooden Classic at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The Orange County Bruins have a block of tickets in the rear terrace, sections 433, 434, and 435, for only $20. These tickets are available to the general public for $26.50 plus various transaction and handling fees.

Location: Honda Center, 2695 E. Katella Ave., Anaheim.

When: Saturday, December 13, 2009. First game, San Diego State vs. St. Mary's is 1:30 PM. UCLA vs. DePaul is 4:00 PM. Secure your ticket, good for both games by credit card before we sell out! Tickets will be mailed to you one to two weeks prior to the game.

Details: Watch the UCLA/USC Football game on large screen TVs at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge.
Event will include a Mexican buffet lunch (includes carnitas, tacos, enchiladas, chili rellenos, fajitas, and more), open from noon until end of the game, cash bar (beers are $4 per pitchers, $2.25 for domestic, and $3 for imports, well drinks are $3), raffle prizes, and silent auction.

We have some terrific items in our silent auction including a basketball autographed by Coach John Wooden, basketball and jersey autographed by the 2007/2008 men's basketball team, and football and jersey autographed by the 2007 football team. Proceeds will benefit the Orange County Bruins Scholarsip fund.

Location: 212 Elk Lane, Santa Ana, CA

When: Saturday, December 1, 2007, 12:30pm to 6:00pm; game kick-off is 1:30 pm but come early to get a good seat and check out the auction items!

LA Times Article Sums it Up: All the Bruins Can Do is Ask 'What If?'

All the Bruins Can Do is Ask 'What If?'

What if the final score were 44-6, Utah, and after the game, on the field, Utes running back Darrell Mack said of the Bruins:

"That last touchdown drive they came out on the field and they were whining and crying. And we just kept driving the ball down the field. They lost their composure. They had to be thinking they were going to win the game going in. That's the wrong thing to think about us. . . . That's an overrated team."

Shoot, it all came to pass, run and tackle, sure as UCLA Coach Karl Dorrell walked off the field escorted by two police officers into the early sunset of a soured season.

It will be remembered by Bruins fans as the Wipeout at Wasatch.

Rice-Eccles Stadium can now boast of hosting the opening ceremony for the 2002 Winter Olympics and 2007 closing ceremony for UCLA.

The Bruins can recover from this to win games, maybe even the conference, but it can't really recover from this -- at least not this year.
