Battle Red Blog Would it be so bad..??

if the Texans held Andre out until after the bye?  I think that, in all honesty, the Texans should be able to get through to the bye going 5-1 or 4-2 without the best WR during that stretch.  That would give him 7 full weeks to recover instead of having setbacks.

I do believe that him on the field at 75-80% is better than our other options, but he won't get higher than that without the rest.  Shelf him and, at the earliest, bring him back by the Cleveland or Tampa games.

Once again, LOVED the win on Sunday against Pitt, but HATED the sniper shot of Andre on what could have been a 20 yd completion.   Go Texans.

Battle Red Blog Five things tonight

What are the five things (or people) that you want to see tonight?

1--Mario dominating the Tackle and get to the QB.  This will shut up the nay-sayers that call themselves Texans fans.

2--Matt Schaub coming out slinging again.  The biggest problem with the Offense last year was the fact that they started very slow.  Run the play action and please hit Dre in stride.

3--Jacoby Jones average 15-19 yards per punt return.  This is also saying that the defense would be able to stop the 49ers a couple times early in the game, if not everytime, because their offense is horrible.

4--Starting CB's.  Will Jonathon Joseph's groin hinder him or will he be able to lock down Braylon Edwards?  Will Jason Allen or Kareem Jackson slip and let the WR go by them first?

5--NT.  The middle of the 49ers line is massive.  Will Cody (just threw up) and Slim Mitchell be able to break into the backfield?

Battle Red Blog Ready for Sept. 11th....

I'm ready for the regular season to come and want to see how the Greatest city in America is going to remember those that we lost 10 years ago.

Have a feeling that the atmosphere will be pumped with so much emotion that the horseface will be broken and (laughing) Dan OrSafety will come in to play for him and Super Mario and Barwin will pound him into submission.  Go Texans...keep the dream alive.

Kareem Jackson just fell down again.

The Crawfish Boxes Am I the only one...

that doesn't understand why every game when the Astros are ahead, the great manager Cecil Cooper pulls Carlos Lee for Jason Michaels.  This would be okay if Michaels was able to rake like Lee can at anytime, but all I've seen from him are errors in the field, losing the ball in the lights, and strikeouts or hit into rally killing double plays.  This 'defensive upgrade' hasn't worked out as well as planned and has bit the Astros in the butt over and over again.  When is Coop' going to see this and stop pulling one of the better hitters in the 7th or later innings?

Battle Red Blog Head scratcher...

Is it just me or does it feel that the Texans are needing just one more piece of the puzzle to contend for a championship this coming season?  Mainly a WR to go with Andre Johnson.

I know they still have Owen Daniels and Jones and Walters are great compliments, but I think that Schaub needs someone to take the pressure off of AJ so that he can do more.  What do ya'll think ?

Battle Red Blog What do you see in the Crystal Ball?

Can you see Houston trading down and taking a LB or a WR late in 1st round?  I think that they need a bigger threat across from A.J. next year to reach the playoffs. Someone like Harvin or Bey late in the round or even reaching with Nicks if that late in the round.

My thinking is that they will take a big bodied back to tandem with Slaton in the 3rd or 4th down.  Someone like James Davis or Shonn Greene would fit well in a 2 back system.
