I think that everyone can agree that DeRosario was the best individual player in the league since joining DC United.  Hopefully he will win the Golden Boot as partial recognition of that.

However, an MVP candidate on a team that does not win games falls short of the "Most Valuable" tag.  So, I wonder if fans are ready to begin discussing the possible competition?

Due to many injuries, the pool of candidates for the title is pretty small.  Rosales was a strong candidate before his injury, and a strong performance from him in the playoffs would go a long way to getting my vote.  Brad Davis was great all season long, but as with DeRo, his team didn't win enough.

Who else do you think might be worthy of consideration?
