Bryan began his career as a journalist nearly a decade ago, earning acclaim for his work dating back to his days as a sports editor for his high school newspaper. An award-winning journalist originally from Kansas and now residing in suburban Detroit, MI., Bryan's work has been featured on fantasy websites as a regular columnist. He was an editor/contributing fantasy writer for SBNation's own, FakeTeams.com, and served as a basketball recruiting analyst and editor for MichiganPreps.com, Rivals.com's Michigan High School Sports division.
Bryan is currently the color commentator for Oakland University's men's and women's basketball for 88.3 WXOU, as well as the co-host of The Greg Kampe Show. His commentary earned him the 2012 MBA first-place award for college sports play-by-play, and helped the station take home its first Station of the Year award.
Bryan is also a sports talk host on WXOU during Friday afternoons, whose shows have featured guests like UFC announcer Bruce Buffer, 2011-2012 NCAA D-I leading scorer Reggie Hamilton, and Emmy Award-winner and 2-time ESPN 30 for 30 director Jonathan Hock. In his free time, he's also a hard rock/metal DJ, and has interviewed artists such as former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, Alter Bridge/Slash and the Conspirators vocalist Myles Kennedy, Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie guitarist John 5, Asking Alexandria founder Ben Bruce, among many others.
