Big Cat Country Jaguars Mock Draft Because Everyone Else Is Doing This

Round 1:

Pick #7: Jaguars TRADE the pick to New York Jets for pick 16, 47 & 77 (Jets select DE/OLB Melvin Ingram, SC) Reason is gets high for Jets is the Patriots were also involved and offered both their first round picks along with a fourth.

Pick #16 Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

Pick #38 Brian Quick, WR, App. State

Pick #47 A.J. Jenkins, WR, Illinois (BTW I enjoy this pick because we get a home town player from NYJ after the Tebow frenzy)

Pick #70 James Brown, OT, Troy

Pick #77 Ben Jones, C, Georgia

Pick #101 Josh Norman, CB, Costal Carolina

Pick #142 Philip Thomas, S, Syracuse

Pick #176 Justin Bethel, FS, Presbyterian

Pick #228 Kyle Martens, P, Rice

Big Cat Country Wayne Weaver is one of the NFL's worst owners

I know shocking statement and he gets lots of love because he helped get a team to Jacksonville and says he will keep the team here. However every other decision has been quite horrible. Just sticking to decisions that effected this season show a lack of understanding and/or care about the product on the field. The only thing I don't understand is whether it's the money that causes him to continue to make these bad decisions or he is just the most loyal person in the National Football League.

Big Cat Country Free Agent Wide Receivers

I've noticed around the interwebs a lot of people have been commenting on the fact that we're not spending all that available cap room to pick up a WR and a Punter. The punter thing I admit confuses me because I refuse to believe that Turk is the best punter available out of all the free agent punters. But the WRs, there really is nothing out there. Below is a list of WRs that are decent and available

Big Cat Country Help is NOT on the way

It kind of pains me to write this but I think there is no chance that help is on the way for the Jaguars. What is needed to help this team. In terms of players we need a stud WR, a decent DB, a punter. I do believe the DL and OL will improve as time goes on, that's not my worry. Player wise I think we're closer than a lot of people think. However a change in the staff is also needed and it's that change that has me the most worried

Big Cat Country To those who want to jump ship

The Jaguars are 3-3. If you honestly can only support the Jaguars when they win, perhaps you should buy a XBox 360 or a PS3 and buy Madden. This way you can ensure your team always wins.

BC Interruption Spaz Article in the Globe

I was reading the article in the Globe from today BC finding its way, and finding ways to win and I noticed there was a quote from Spaz about the play-calling that made me think that lessons might ACTUALLY BE LEARNED from the previous two victories.

“As a team grows we’ve got to build on some of this,’’ said Spaziani. “Same as happened the week before. I’d like to get to the point where we don’t give [the lead] up. Once again, we’re a work in progress. We’ve got a long way to go. We’ve got to get a lot better.’’
