Tolbert FTW!!!!

Remind me again why it made so much sense to trade picks & move up for Hester?

Once again, my boy Tolbert gets it done while Hester bounces off the line & fails to convert on 4th down. Pitiful. Blame it on the OL, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that Tolbert would have converted that.

Wise up, Norv. Tolbert is your guy. Hester was a waste of picks, ST performance or not. Stay away from LSU this year - please!!!

2009 Predictions and Hopes

2009draftpicks_medium

So here we are, at the threshold of the 2009 season. Rookies report to camp on July 26, just 12 days away, with the vets reporting on July 31. As always, we fans are anxious to see how the old guys handled the offseason and what the new kids are going to bring to the table. On that note, let’s take a look at a couple of training camp battles that could be very interesting, then move on to predictions for the upcoming 2009 season.

Headed out for the home opener!

Just booked my trip out from VA for the home opener vs. the Ravens. Don't know where I'm sitting yet, but working on a ticket as we speak.  Maybe I'll get a chance to meet some of you.

Staying at the Quality Inn near Qualcomm - anyone have any info on what's nearby for fun? I get in around noon on Sat., so will probably be looking for a nearby sports bar to catch some college games.

Go Bolts!!

I Hate She-li the Most Part Deux!!! (Psst! I have graphs, too!!)

In order to more fully convey my deep abiding hatred for all things She-li, I have incorporated graphs in this contest submission. They were constructed to both identify the prevailing component of She-li's personality and to predict some of the events of the contest.

I also did it to suck up to the judge!!!

I apologize for the Charger font on the graphs not being more legible.

I pledge to make my utmost effort to document any rude gestures/comments directed at She-li, topless hotties, fights, player interactions, drinking/eating feats, etc. if chosen.

So pick me already!!!!   :-)

I Hate She-li the most!!!!!!!

Yes, it's true. I have a deep, abiding disgust for She-li Manning which stems from he & his talentless father thumbing their noses at the best team in the NFL.  Nothing would bring me greater pleasure than the opportunity of seeing She-li eating turf all afternoon at the hands of Merriman, SP, English, etc. Seeing his passes batted down by Castillo, Jamal, & "Vicious" Martin. Watching Jammer, Cro, Weddle, & Co. intercepting his girlie passes.

I'm a Virginia-based Bolt fan, so I don't get to see these guys very often. My first game in person was last year's game against KC at the Q. Met some great folks from other Charger forums & had a ball watching us beat KC (did I mention that my wife is a Chiefs' fan? She didn't enjoy the outcome as much as I did!!!!). I became a Bolts fan because of my admiration for Stan the Man & Coach Ross, who is a native Virginian & lives close by.

Transportation to the game will be a cinch. I'll either drive up or take the train. Lodging - no problem. I can stay with friends in NJ or get a room. I'm plenty old enough to drink, loud enough to handle the crowd, & smart enough to know not to start any trouble. And my birthday is 11/2, so this would be a great present!!

Last but not least - I'm friends with Ross Warner, who lives in Long Island & runs the Charger web site Justice Is Coming. He might be able to arrange some player interaction for us. In addition to knowing Ross, I also work with a guy who is formerly a KC native & knows Darren quite well. He taught him in school & Darren is a good friend of his son. So ...... connections exist, possibilities are endless.

Whadda ya say? Please give me a chance to hurl obscenities at She-li in person. I'll even make signs if you like!!
