After flirtations with the Pirates and the A's, I've returned to where my heart is (I was born in Brooklyn) because the team has an exciting young nucleus---especially Ethier, who is truly a special player. I think Kemp and Loney are superb too--and I like Martin's grit. So, let's go Blue!
As you can also tell, I root for the Iowa Hawkeyes. I got my MA there, so I've been a fan ever since.
Other pursuits: I teach Mass Comm in Orange County at Chapman University. Other loves? Little Richard, Doo-Wop, Gilbert & Sullivan, Balzac, Zola, egg rolls. Hey, I'm a Renaissance man!
