My Rationalization for Romo & JG
Let's just stop the talk about replacing Romo for now. Romo is and will be our QB for the next 1-2 years. Financially speaking, he's our QB and looking at what's behind him at this point, he's our QB.
Bandwagon fans
Has anyone else noticed how much Cowboy fans are considered bandwagon fans, especially on Bleeding Green Nation (BGN)? On multiple posts on BGN, I have heard one person after another say that you can't be considered a true fan of a team unless you're rooting for the team in your own state. Am I the only one who thinks this is a bunch of BS??
I've been a Cowboy fan since the early to mid '80's when Danny White was NOT punting the ball and Dorsett was not reeling off 99 yard touchdown runs. I grew up in Ohio where the Cowboys were on one channel and the Steelers or Browns were on the other channel. I picked the Cowboys as my team and have been a diehard ever since. To call me a bandwagon fan of the Dallas Cowboys in 2010 is absurd!
Cowboy fans have been destroyed on BGN for arguing that they are not bandwagon fans. One person posted that they live in Texas, but they root for the Eagles and this person obviously was not called out for being a bandwagon Eagles fan because, I guess there can only be bandwagon Cowboy fans. One of the Eagles posting this idea happens to be a Knick fan. Double standard?! Am I missing something here? What's wrong with rooting for a team outside of the state you grew up in? There's nothing wrong with being from, say North Dakota, and being a Giants fan or being an Eagles fan from Georgia or a Cowboys fan from Ohio.
Why does this topic seem to come up multiple times in BGN's message boards? I'd like to know what everyone's take is on this topic.

Playoff scenario question
If the Cowboys lose to the Redskins, but beat the Eagles, they obviously would be 10-6. If Philly loses to Seattle and to us, they obviously would be 10-6. If the Giants win out, they obviously would be 10-6. Who wins the division? We would hold the tiebreaker over the Eagles, but the Giants would hold the tiebreaker over us. I think this would leave us out of the playoffs, but i am not sure. Anybody have the answer?
great article from Philly writer
The last place you would think to hear good things about the Cowboys would be a Philly newspaper, but hear is one. This article has a lot of good things to say about the Cowboys. Sounds very weird coming from a Philly writer. It does not sound like this guy was in the stands when Michael Irvin was laying on the turf hearing the cheers.
Steppin' Up
Last year, before the season began, we heard Tony Romo talk about his studying of Tom Brady and how he handles the pocket. Brady always appeared relaxed in the pocket and at times seemed to stand upright before finding his receiver and delivering the ball. Romo seemed to mimic Brady's stance and when he had time in the pocket, everything was great. He delivered the ball on time and appeared more comfortable in the pocket. This had the result of keeping Romo in the pocket, but prevented him from taking off and running so much. However, when things broke down and he did not have as much time, Romo still stayed in the pocket and that is when he seemed to get careless with only one hand on the ball and turnovers would occur.
This year, he seems to have gotten rid of that philosophy which worked for Brady, but not so much Romo. I have noticed Romo stepping up more in the pocket which prevents the outside defensive ends from slapping at the ball and creating turnovers. This has the result of moving the pocket forward and allowing more time to find a receiver. It also allows Romo to take off and run for some yards. Romo has taken off and run straight up the field more in this short season than all of last year. Folks, this is a great thing. I think this is a very important change in Romo's philosophy of pocket presence. Has anyone else noticed this?
