The Ralphie Report CU Buffs vs UGA Dawgs October 02

Hey Buff fans!

I’m a Georgia Bulldog fan/grad in ATL, and I’m planning to make the trip to Boulder with a bunch of my fellow slobbering, hairy Dawgs for our upcoming October 02 game. It should be a lot of fun for our fan base, and hopefully for your fans. UGA fans will give y’all a run for the money on the “party school” honors.  I think the uniqueness of UGA playing in Boulder will encourage us to bring large numbers just like we did for the Arizona State game in 2008. The Sun Devil fans couldn’t believe how many of us made it out there, and we got along with them pretty well. FYI- Tell your barkeeps to load up on the bourbon because I think we drained Tempe out of the brown liquid. Seriously!

I’ve never been to the Denver area, much less to Boulder. Reviewing the maps of the Boulder/Denver area, it seems as if Boulder is pretty much an exburb, if not a suburb of Denver, so my question is where would you stay for roughly 3 days/4 nights? Should I stick with the big city, Denver, or get into the thick of things near the campus in Boulder proper? A UGA girl I know lived out there for a few years, and mentioned an area of Denver that had some acronym like SOHO in NYC but obviously in Denver. She said the area was a pretty cool place to hang.

Feel free to throw in any “must do” stuff while I’m out there, too. Red Rocks is close by, and is supposed to be pretty inspiring, right?

Also, how easy is it to score tixs outside of Folsom Field on game day in case I get boxed out with UGA’s tix office? Is scalping legal? There will probably be a decent demand for the CU/UGA game (54k seats right?) so what’s y’alls experience with tix prices for decent visiting teams that travel well? $50, $100, $200, $300 a pop?

Anyway, tell Ralphie that the Georgia fans really enjoyed his(?) visit to Athens in 2006. The camera flashes were popping all over the place, and the UGA fans were pretty hyped when Ralphie made his grand entrance. THAT was very cool…..little Uga was trembling with the BIG fella out on the field!

Thanks, and I’m looking forward to it!

 Sic’ ‘em Dogs! Woof Woof.
