Buffalo Rumblings We will see if Nix's picks can hold up

This week should show us alot. We should see Spiller in an expanded role, although we might see more of Tashard Choice. Up until now, he has not demonstrated he can play at this level. His elusive college speed seems to have evaporated, and he has little to no toughness as a runner. Even his returns have been lack luster at best.

Terrel Troup needs to step up and show he can play nose tackle. This has been the single biggest problem on defense, as Dareus has been moved to nose tackle in the absence of Kyle Williams. If he can just be effective, it will help Dareus to play more at defensive tackle and allow us to do both a better job at stuffing the run and getting pressure on the opposing quarterback.

If these guys cannot step up and play, we have to question why they are on the roster and collecting a pay check. IMO, these were both wasted picks as was Ed Wang, who has not provided any depth to our line and has not stepped in or shown significant improvement. To build thru the draft we need to draft players that can contribute to the team, a la Green Bay and New England.

Buffalo Rumblings At the end of the day...

Do statistics really matter? We have endured seasons of losses, heartbreaks and downright dismal play. Now that we have some wins, do the stats matter?

Wins are nice, but we should lead the league in multiple statistical categories.

Pinstripe Alley Yankees Outfield

IMO, the starting outfield should be Curtis Granderson, Nick Swisher and Andruw Jones. Why? Although Brett Gardner has speed, he is at best a sub par hitter.
