Die By The Blade Sabres Vs. Bruins: Turning point

So, this is it, a chance at redemption.

Although, I have read that there are a few Sabres fans that believe that tonight's game is just another game in the early regular season, I have reason to believe otherwise.

Its no secret that opposing teams playing us in our revamped First Niagara Center have less trouble dealing with the home field advantage than most other NHL teams.  For the last two seasons, overall the Sabres have had a some what of a problem playing in their home stadium.  There does not seem to be a fear of playing the Sabres at home, although, not a huge deal in the regular season, but, during the playoffs it is a central key to winning.  For the first time this year we have a true reason to win one at home.  No need to go over the the history for this game; this is a big one.

We need to show teams that if you come into our house, your gonna take a lick.  Especially, after the hit on Miller the tone must be set tonight to the rest of the league and for the team itself to prove that they are a force in the NHL. We/They can talk about change in culture, but, this is the chance to prove we mean business.  Establish the fore check and to start off strong with an early goal are the keys tonight.  The early season jitters are over; both teams should be in full stride at this point so its time to mash these clowns and make a run for first place in the Conference.

The toughness that we display in this game will also show Miller that this team and the fans are behind him.  Say what you want about Miller, but, you are fooling yourself if you think Enroth can lead this team to a playoff spot and into a Cup final.  I recently went to my first season game this year a few weeks ago and the crowd at FNC SUCKS.  I repeat the crowd SUCKS!  No one cheers unless there is a goal, moaning and groaning constantly. More people cheer for the Burger King giveaway and its truly pathetic.  So, if your going to the game, GET LOUD.

I know its still early, but, when the time comes at the end of the season when the race for the playoffs gets tight, this is gonna be a statement game that we want to have in the W column.  Go Sabres.

Buffalo Rumblings Poll: Most Annoying Catchphrases this Offseason

I was hoping that someone would have a poll for this by now, but alas, it was not in the stars.  As we draw closer and closer to opening kick off, much like the summer, pre season is all but over.  During the months preceding the end of last season I have read almost every single article that gets posted on this site due to the bordem (and awesomeness of Rumblings) of our beloved Bills not playing.  I have felt a small tumor developing in my brain in reading these exhaustedly overused one liners ranging from bloggers to ESPN analysts.  It causes physical pain now to hear some of these phrases and I'll say that I have been guilty probably on more that one occasion myself.

Its like swineflu.  So here we go drum roll (and sorry if I miss a few b/c there are probably more)
