Behind the Steel Curtain Ryan Clark on Espn's First Take

Ryan Clark on Espn's First Take

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5026596

Interesting, at times refreshing, comments. Especially regarding OTA's and being independent contractors. Business is business. I like the cut of his jib.

In the long run, it's probably a good thing he's coming back, even if his performance last year wasn't the greatest. At the very worst, he provides decent depth and puts the fear of a beheading into anyone coming across the middle.

Behind the Steel Curtain LT released by Chargers

Jus' sayin'. Wonder where he'll end up. Lot's of wear on a RB body. Probably not worth the risk for most teams.

Wonder if SD is interested in Parker. Odd that they're the same age, but FWP may have a little more left in the tank.

LT released by Chargers

The San Diego Chargers released running back LaDainian Tomlinson Monday afternoon.

<a class='sbn-auto-link' href='http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/3033/LaDainian_Tomlinson'>LaDainian Tomlinson</a> Tomlinson

Tomlinson played nine seasons in San Diego, but at the age of 30 and with declining numbers, Tomlinson has been anticipating his release for the past month.

"This is a part of the business that I hate, and it's particularly hard when you're dealing with someone I consider a friend," team president Dean Spanos said, according to Chargers.com. "Change involving great players is never easy. I respect LT as much or more than any player I've ever known. And no one appreciates his contributions to this organization more than I do. That is why this is such a difficult announcement for me to make."

Behind the Steel Curtain Ward, Warren injured

From Steelers Depot (http://www.steelersdepot.com/blog/):

Hines Ward reported in the locker room after the game that he re-injured his hamstring in the win versus the Green Bay Packers. Ward says it hurts very very bad and he is now in jeopardy of missing the week 16 game versus the Baltimore Ravens. Mike Tomlin will update his status on Tuesday during his weekly press conference.

The Steelers win may have cost them their long snapper as Greg Warren is now likely lost for the final few games with a torn ACL according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Tomlin said it happened on the extra point on the final play of the game to give the Steelers the win. Warren was carried off of the field after the game was over. He will have an MRI and likely will be placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.
