Brewers look to be front-runner for Sabathia

Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Milwaukee Brewers appear to be very serious in the C.C. Sabathia trade talks. According to Rosenthal, Milwaukee is offering Class AA left fielder Matt LaPorta. In addition, Class AA shortstop Alcides Escobar may also be included in Milwaukee's offer. If this is true, it clearly looks like the Brewers are in the drivers seat for the acquistion of Sabathia.

The Cubs are only mentioned in passing; saying that the Cubs want Sabathia, but their farm is not as stocked as Milwaukee's. The Indians clearly need hitting; that much is known; but what can the Cubs offer that the Brewers can't offer more of? Beats me.

Rosenthal's article is here.

I'm sure everyone has an opinion on this one. Whether it's Dodger Dogs or Fenway Sausages, we all have our favorites. Personally, I'm not that big a fan of the food at Wrigley. I usually make a stop at Gene and Judes first to bring a few of my favorite hot dogs to the games. A classic Chicago dog that comes with fresh cut greasy fries...hmmmm..can't beat em with a cold Old Style! So, what's your fave?

Just curious....I heard on tv that Mr. White Sox was there at the Ernie Banks statue unveiling, but I didn't see him. Anyone see him?? I grew up on the south side and my dad used to drag me to sox games even tho i was a cub fan. This was probably around 1960 or 1961 and he had a great year if I remember right. He was a fun player to watch and he loved the game and the fans.
