As is usually the case with the Buff football program, one bit of good news (Simmons and Jefferson qualify) is usually followed up with at least four items of bad news. Call it gravity working it's course if you will.

It appears WR Markques Simas, whom we are relying heavily on at a depleted position, will be suspended for the first two games of the season for violating team rules and OL Sione Tau will be suspended the entire season for similar reasons. What goes up must always come back down I guess.

The good news if you can find any, is that our first two opponents are CSU and Toledo. Still, this is incredibly disappointing news to hear when we are all getting revved up about the season.You wonder if this program will ever catch a break.
