It all Began on May 25th...

Matt Cain left after 7 innings leading 3 to 1.
They eventually lost the game to Colorado and the subsequent games to the Rockies on Saturday and Sunday. Sad to say...it was, for the most part, all down hill after that.

In reality there were those on this site who predicted this team with as many of "over the hill" guys as we had, would be lucky to finish in 3rd place. I, the forever optimist, thought we had one more year given the fact Durham, Aurilia, Roberts had eye-opening stats the year before. I do hope when the roster expands we get to see the kids play most of the games.

Lets assume all the rumors are true. My question and it is not meant to sound like a rhetorical question; if this stuff i.e. The Cream, "Flax seed oil" or some kind of goop made a significant difference in his home run total, how potent could it be if it wasn't detected?

According to one agent in the Jason Stark report, Barry doesn't want to cross the Bay, play in a dilapidated Stadium and he doesn't want to wear white shoes...I love it! Come on Home Barry...left field is waiting for you!

First of all folks, I have been a fan of the Giants since they came from Gotham in 1958. And I realize there are folks on this site who are far more articulate and knowledgeable on my favorite sport than I. With that said. I went to a VIP gathering before the start of the season at AT&T park somewhere on the mezzanine level along the 3rd base side. Who do you think was in that room?
I would suspect most of them were the people who paid ten's of thousands of dollars for season tickets, especially the ones in the luxury boxes, lower boxes and reserve. I really don't think they want to see the Linden's, Ellison's, lewis's, and maybe Frandson while the Giants are rebuilding. They expect, and I don't blame them a competitive team on the field.
I was aggravated when they didn't try to sign Guerrero, Tejada, and even Dye who went to the Chisox, and I'm not going to mention the names in that awful trade.
I hope they do sign Aurilia, Roberts and I like Ray Ray, but Loretta is no slouch. Perhaps they could add Molina and Lilly at the right price.
Please no rookies until they knock our socks off!

You read all the reports that the Giants just don't have enough to make the trade with Boston for Manny, but what if Boston wants to get rid of the salary (Drew and Matsusaka are pushing the budget) and what if the Giants would pick up the options. One of the reasons I put it on the table for discussion is that there is a report I believe Rotoworld states that the Red Sox are not that enthused to sign Lugo any longer could it be that they have another ss in the wings?

Or is it? I know there are a lot of astute folks out there in the audience, but before you squash me like some day old road ki!!. Perhaps we should realize we have some pretty good pitchers on our staff...I think the best in the NL West. I would also add the club has made some mistakes in the past, but so has the Yankees ie Wright Pavone
Weaver to name a few...okay I'm ready...thump! thump!

According to the New York Times. The Giants offer was for 5 years for 50 Million, but the Angels matched them. So this morning Sarge Jr. decided he wanted to be close to family. I think this negotiation process is not for amateurs...just a thought.

Looks like my comment that you can "take it to the bank" concerning Pierre and Bonds my not come true after all. According to Rotoworld the Dodgers are in deep discussions (whatever that means) with Pierre. And Bonds well...who knows? I just hope the Giants can put together a team worth blogging about.
