Who is going to pick up Tony's Production?

Is anyone else wondering what in the heck we're going to do on Offense without our best player? Bowe is a future pro bowler, I was actually really impressed by Bradley's production last year, Engram is definently solid and easily an upgrade despite his age, and I believe we have a elite running back in LJ..Charles could do a lot as well in regards to catching short yard passes and running much like a priest holmes..But we have no one at this point to pick up Tony's production..And that's a pretty big gap..

I'm optimistic about Cottam, but I realize we aren't even planning on using a TE as frequently in our new scheme..So I'd love to hear everyone's opinion on which route we're going with..

Are we going to do nothing?

Will we acquire a starting WR through the draft?

Will we make a trade for a #1 WR this off season? And who would it be?

Sound off!

Clark Hunt reveals information

My dad is a season ticket holder and apparently the chiefs held a ticketholder Q&A with Clark Hunt today..Fans we're allowed to ask a variety of questions..

My dad called me with the main points:

1. Brodie Croyle is recoving and will be back at camp (damnit)

2. The Chiefs will not be INITIALLY active in free agency, but will then be more aggressive towards the end of free agency..The chiefs will be more agressive this year in FA than in the recent past few years.

3. The chiefs are looking forward to working with Tyler Thigpen..They like him and are excited about hit..However the chiefs are planning on acquiring either a QB through the draft or a solid veteran qb thru FA.. (So no matter what, Thigpen is going to probably have somewhat of a competition with either an FA or rookie..And yes Thigpen isn't going anywhere)

4. The chiefs will be much more offensively oriented this year than in the past few years..(so basically since 2005, our last year with vermeil)

5. Although the chiefs will be more offensively focused, Pioli believes the chiefs must have a great defense...(So Pioli is basically making sure the defense is solid and kicking ass...Really this seems like a NE team in the making)

So those are the main points...Atleast that my father could remember!

Our Next Football Coach

If you watch this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBLqHn9SySA

You will see the man that needs to be the chiefs next head coach..Mike Shanahan..The man we all love to hate..The man who has been a thorn in our sides since 1994. He is undeniably perhaps the best game time coach around. The two major differences I see between him and our current coach is:

1. Shanahan is an incredible coach on sunday. He does his best work when it counts.

2. He accepts blame.

I could not imagine Herm accepting blame for our current mess if he is eventually  ever fired. He would use excuses about blowing up the team and rebuilding but would never throw himself under the bus..I'm glad Herm had the balls to do what needed to be done, but no one can deny he needs to accept blame where blame is due..The guy just can't stand to kick ass on Sundays..Mr we play to win the game loves keeping the games extremely close..

We can all agree Shanahan probably had too much power to Denver. Shanahan should have stuck to coaching and let a gm have the say in player personnel (with his input). Pioli as a talent evaluator is second to none. Shanahan as a coach is second to none..Do you see where I'm getting at here..If Shanahan came to KC to strictly coach this team and let Pioli make the majority of the personnel decisions, this would be a match made in heaven..Having Shanahan on our sidelines would instantly bring back a euphoria at arrowhead that isn't been here since the high of the vermeil days..With Pioli and Shanahan I believe a championship can be achieved in Kansas City
