Build-A-Ballclub: Draysbay style
So i was going through yahoo and scrolling around and i found this interesting article on yahoo sports. Decided why not make our own version of a ballclub we would like to have: include 1 owner, 1 GM, 1 scouting director, 1 manager, a position player, a pitcher, and a prospect.
1. Owner- Stuart Sternberg- Ok, if you have a team with a low payroll and are still going to win
2. GM- Theo Epstein- Face it, it is nearly impossible to ignore what he has done and what his team has accomplished.
3. Scouting director- I'd rather just skip that since i have no idea
4. manager- Joe Maddon- From worst to first is hard to do and this guy has done it
5. Position player- Hanley Ramirez- hits for power, steals bases, and is shortstop- uncommon.
6. pitcher- Johan Santana- a cy young lefty who had a 2.52 era last year even if the mets choked-good guy.
7. prospect- David price- for some reason i believe matt wieters is overrated, and price is a future #1 lefty starter with a 97 mph fastball and a 88 mph slider- the man.
So bloggers of draysbay, take your shot at this.
Texans Sign LB Cato June
Yes, its true. The Texans have signed Cato June. The man who some or must of us thought was the eventual replacement for Derrick Brooks. Here's the link from Profootballtalk.
In other news, Kellen Winslow's father who had been missing since wednesday was found safe yesterday (Pewter Report). Hmm, might explain why he had not practiced at camp.
Oh, and there was a chat with pat yasinkas on friday. He says he likes the move of phillips from safety to Weakside because the bucs need speed there and phillips is not shorter than brooks. True or Not, what do you think?
DT B.J Raji fails drug test at combine.
Espn reported the news this about an hour earlier.
B.J Raji was reported to be a top 10-15 in the draft this year. He played under Jags (Jeff Jagodnizki) in Boston College last year. He is a great talent and is a good fit for this defense. Also Ron brace, Peria Jerry, and Evander "Ziggy" Hood are still there in the draft. So do you think it drops his value any and will he fall to us?

**Sigh** the rays are not supposed to win the Al east again
Why SI, Why? How can you let the mets win?
Oh well, these are at least some interesting picks. While you're at it check out these other two links:

And this page- shows you the projected playoff bracket.
