Noles Win. Myron Rolle Loses

Myron Rolle, the quintessential standard of student-athlete in the country and one of the greatest players from FSU, was cut today by the Titans. Many thought he would at least make the 53 man roster because of effort and ball skills, but looks like the Titans had to make a rough choice. They kept Rusty Smith, the FAU Quaterback, but not Myron?!?!?! Maybe this is a sign that Myron is just not ready for the NFL. Or maybe this is a sign that God wants Myron to do what he was sent here on Earth to do: cure cancer. Anyway, I don't think this is the end of Myron's NFL goals by a long shot. As long as NFL teams have a need for FS and SS (coughtampabaybuccaneerscough) I think he has a chance. For every door that closes another opens. Good luck Myron.

AZ v. Toledo @8pm may be FSU New Defense Preview?

With Mark Stoops having establishing the Wildcat's Defense as one of the best in the PAC-10, tonight's Arizona v. Toledo game may be a good preview of how the new FSU defense will play tomorrow. I am not saying that this is an absolute 100% indicator of what the Noles will look like this year, but it should give some of us fans a more real-time example of how the zone defense works. Plus with Toledo being an almost exclusively spread-pass team, tonight's game should allow us to figure out how Mark Stoops' coaching of DB has a long term impact on how they stop WRs.

ESPN: James Wilder a big get for FSU

Very good read by Jaime Newberg.

Nigel Carr released from FSU

We all knew this was happening soon, and I think the JWJ commitment played a role in that. Good luck to Nigel. Both in his football career and life.

"Youthful Indiscretions" will force Christian Lemay to not play his Senior season

He was reportedly an FSU lean, but Lemay said FSU was not recruiting him as hard for some reason. Guess we see why now. Glad we dodged this bullet.

Rivals: Karlos Willams earns 5th star

Our first blue chipper is in the house.

Pretty good website with videos and stories. Thought Id share

2009 FSU v. Ga Tech on SunSports @ 2:00pm

2009 FSU v. Ga Tech on SunSports @ 2:00pm

Per College Football Live, Kiffin has allowed Seantrel Henderseon to get out of his LOI. Chances the Noles can get him to come to FSU? Remember Miami and Ohio State are probably in it as well.

Weatherford commits to South Florida

Drew's little brother pulls the trigger for the Bulls. ESPN did a piece on him a while back that he could possible be the best of the Weatherford boys. Kind of how Jimmy Clausen was considered the best of the California Clausens who played at Tennessee and LSU Noles are already good at QB plus, I think Drew's time at FSU may have turned Stephen off to come to Tallahassee. So Holtz is making moves in Tampa. Think this plays a role in Wilder possibly going to USF?

My proposal of an ACC Intraconference Realignment

I've been thinking about this for sometime now, and wanted to get everyone's opinion on this. If you look at some of the top rivalries in college football, notice how the biggest rivalries seem...

Jimbo Fisher puts his stamp on FSU recruiting

Certainly Fisher and his staff have some big shoes to fill and it won't be easy following a legend like Bowden. But expectations are sky high in Tallahassee, and if recruiting is any indication, Florida State is on the right path with Fisher. His Seminoles have a chance to close exceptionally well and if that happens, FSU is one step closer to regaining its status as a national football power. Great article by Jamie Newberg on the new recruiting efforts by Jimbo Fisher. Also talks about other recruits FSU are going after, including James Wilder, Tim Jernigan, Nick Waisome, and Tony Steward.

What should the New Big Ten divisions be?

Interesting article I found on this. Some pretty good arguments for why some schools must, should, or can't play each other in the regular season. The divisional names are just my idea, but according to the article this is what he thinks it should be? Big Ten Great Lakes Division Ohio State Michigan Wisconsin Michigan State Purdue Indiana Big Ten Great Plains Division Nebraska Penn State Iowa Minnesota Illinois Northwestern

Mountain West considering offers to Kansas, Kansas St, and Missouri.

"That would leave a few available schools, most notably Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri to potentially join the MWC." "There have been discussions and scenarios involving 12, 14 or 16 schools in the MWC, conference championship games and more. It all depends on whether teams such as Missouri, Kansas and the others can't find a conference they like better." Joe Schad also reported this this morning on ESPN that the MWC is looking at these three schools. Should the ACC or Big East offer Kansas? Link below: " Big Ten pulls offer to Missouri and Notre Dame"

USC's TJ Bryant eligibile for immeidate transfer

NCAA ruled that the USC seniors and juniors can transfer without having to sit out a year. Bryant has two more years left of eligibility. Think he considers coming back to Tallahassee and playing for Mark Stoops and the Noles?

James Wilder set to commit at end of the summer

Per his interview with ESPN, Wilder wants to get the recruiting period over before season starts. Says as of now Alabama, Florida and Florida State are his top three....but only because those are the schools he has visited. Likes USF too, but most think the Bulls are out of it. Will visit USC and Oregon too. Can we get him? I think his future with us is at LB, TE, or DE, but he wants to play RB. Thoughts?

Leon Washington Traded to Seahawks

Shone Greene, Landian Tomlinson, and Joe McKnight are great, but Neon Leon got screwed. Ryan should not be mad at him for wanting to go to Shands in Jacksonville for rehab, and be home with his family than stay in New York. He'll be a god in Seattle. Good luck buddy.

FSU Must Take Back Tampa/St Pete Recruiting

So, each school has a main recruting area where they rely on Alumni and Coaches to send top players to their programs:   Miami has South Florida ( Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Treasure Cost,...
