Looking at the standings and the games left for everyone, this is going to be hard. We have like a 5% chance of getting in the play-offs. Since we had a horrible start Pitt, Jets, NE, and Jags would all own the tiebreaker.

We have to go 3-0 (obviously) and hope that the Jets, Jags, Miami, and Baltimore lose 2 out of 3 and Pitts one loss to get in. Is that correct? GO TITANS!!!

 

I know Denver 7-4, Pitts 6-5, Bal 6-5, are there, so realisticly what are the chances we make a wild-card appearance? I see it as our next game will be a true testament to how good we really are. If we win this next game, I think we can run the table. I only wish we had this offense last year and last years Defense this year. Oh well. We control our own destiny.GO TITANS!!! 

Do we have a shot at a wild-card spot with at least one loss? Has anyone done the math?

I've been predicting a 21-17 win for the Titans.

I think that when we play our brand of football, we are engineered to beat teams like the Colts (and Cardinals). This will absolutely be our biggest game yet, given all the playoff implications and what not.... If we knock off Indy in Indy then there is no second guessing this team: we had a rough start, we were banged up, we somehow accidentally started the wrong QB for 6 weeks, and now everything is coming together and this team is playing the way I knew they were capable of playing. This game will be huge.


Thoughts?

Anyone with two eyes can see that the team that's shown up the past 3 weeks is much better than the 0-6 team. I just wanted to bring up some stats that no else has brought up.

35% is Pretty Terrible. When you are sending your defense out on the field 65% of the time w/ no points to show for it, 0-6 happens. You just can't win like that. The more time your D is on the field, the more big plays they are going to give up. Boy did it show.

52% Conversion rate!? Quite impressive. Not only are you saving your defenses breath, you are putting points on the board and if you can atleast make it a two possession lead, you take the opponents running game out of the equation thus making your defenses job 50% easier. Haven't you noticed all of the late game picks here lately? Again, not rocket science.

I find it amazing that within the last 3 games, the Titans have nearly matched the number of 3rd down conversions that they had in the first 6 games of the season while attempting 3rd downs conversions nearly half as much! It's a stat that's rarely talked about and it needs to be recognized.

I know that we have gotten some garbage touchdowns at the end of games on defense, but I like touchdowns, whether they are garbage or meaningful.

Lets look at the point totals for the first 6 games of the season.

84 - Another non impressive number. On Average: 14 points a game.

Friends, you won't win alot in the NFL if you average 14 points a game.

So lets go to the past 3 weeks.

which on average is 35 points a game. Again, it doesn't take a genius to see that if you average 35 points a game, you will win alot more than you would if you only scored 14 points a game.

Let's just take a moment to think about how nice it would be to finish 10-6, wild-card team, Superbowl Champions (seems like Wild-Card teams always win!)... take a moment.... ahhh isn't that nice?!

Now don't think i'm overreacting about the Titans winning one game. I've been saying we could go 10-6 since we got stomped by the Pats. Imagine if we won those first 3 close games, that would of been nice. But back to the present.

That's not an easy schedule... at all. But we can do it! Our secondary is finally getting it together. Finnegan and Fuller are back. Rod Hood looks sharp, better than Harper! Mouton and McCourty have alot of exp. now especially after starting a few games. The Front 7 has improved, KVB finally got a sack. Bulluck/Tulloch look better, Hayes/Jones as well. We did give up way to much yards to MJD, he's a good RB but that was horrible by us. Let's get it going D!

As for offense... now I was a supporter of KC, was that a mistake or what?! Vince Young looked amazing out there Sunday, going 15 for 18 not doing any stupid passes, hes matured! If Vince plays this well every week we'll be set. Not to mention we have the best RB in the league [minus AP]. LenDale hasn't got it goin'... yet. And the passing core is looking better, Washington, Britt, Gage, and Scaife are starting to roll now.

Honestly our defense will decide our record. When they make stops and we get ahead (by running) that's when we win. When were down and try to play catchup (by passing) we never catchup.

10-6 were coming for you...

It was really obvious last night which team was giving the effort and which wasn't. EVERY time the Colts were making a play they would dive for the first down, and i think they got it EVERY SINGLE TIME. I saw diving for first downs by colts receivers about 10 times, our guys would just try to push them out of bounds lightly. Looks like our guys don't even care anymore. Thats the difference between a 5-0 team and an 0-5 team right there.This whole team is the problem were losing...Defense,Offense,Special,and Coaching.I'm embarrassed with this team right now...0-5

Now Does everyone think we should give Vince the chance to do something with this team like he did in 2006 because i do...Im sorry but Kerry looks horrible who threw 2 ints today which is a total of 6 in 4 games while last year he only threw 7 and also are Defense is killing us by making every QB look like Peyton Manning...This team needs to do something or we will get the #1 overall draft pick!

Bo Scaife's knee injury...He was questionable against the Jets.Do you guys think he will be ready for this coming Sunday against the Jags,because i hope he is ready and i really think the offense is missing Bo.Crumpler is just to big and not fast enough but is a good blocker and Cook hasnt did much these last 2 games.By the way is Cortland ok i read that he had a hamstring injury?

Fisher said that as long as were winning Kerry is are QB...well hello everyone were not winning,so do something.

Who would have thought this would happen.Guess what guys were last in our division and in the AFC...and to make it worse we have the Jags next which they beat the TEXANS as well as the Colts and Patriots after.Well we could easily go 0-6 before the bye week.Even tho Kerry played horrible its not all on him(but Kerry everyone loves the straight 13 straight incompletions and the last interception).Anyways MOUTON really kid hold on to the ball 2 turnovers from you equals 14 points to the Jets.Jeff Fisher find a RETURN MAN! I'm fed up with this team but i can never give up.So what does this team do from here...Vince Young? What does everyone think?

Has been exposed.Any team can beat us with all passes and not a single run...We gave up so many big plays and mostly on Nick Harper and why was he covering Johnson the whole game and not Finny.We really do need an Albert to get pressure on the QB and thats the only reason Finny,Harper,and Griffin had a good season last year...expect it to get worse with Peyton and Brady coming along,but i hope we can get it together...Lets move on to the Jets and put this lose behind us.
