Should Seattle have any interest whatsoever?

You guys can talk about RBIs if you want, I just … we ignore them in the front office … and I think we’ve built some pretty good offensive clubs.

Could they have gotten this any more wrong?

From ESPN's rankings on WRs for the 2008 season.

"61. Nate Burleson
Seattle Seahawks
Burleson has No. 2 WR skills, but because of his lack of speed, you'd rather have him as your third receiver. He fits the system in Seattle thanks to his ability to read coverages and his fluid, nimble route-running skills. He is not very dangerous after the catch and is not a great blocker."

Fluid routes?  Lack of speed?  Not very dangerous after the catch?

Maybe my idea of what Burleson brings to the table is completely backwards.

Injured Patrick Kerney?

Did I miss this one? Trent Cole has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster in place of the injured Patrick Kerney? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3212177

Off-Topic: 311/Matisyahu - Marymoore Park

Went to this just last night.  Great concert!  Both bands were very good live.  Any other LL/Mariner faithful in attendance?

Character filler:

In 1995 Edgar Martinez  had 182 hits, 52 doubles, 29 homeruns, 116 RBIs, 116 walks, a .356 avg, .479 OBP, .628 SLG, 1.107 OPS.  in 145 games.

IMO the greatest offensive single-season performance by a Mariner ever.
