Tony Corrente's crew will be officiating the Lions/Saints matchup this week. The Lions have only seen them once this year... vs the Kansas City Chiefs.

Referee Tony Corrente overcame huge obstacles this season, most significantly having being treated for an illness late in the season causing him to miss three weeks. He and his crew received this NFC Wild Card Playoff assignment.

When Colt, meets Suh again! 

What are your expectations?   What areas of improvement do you want to see? 

For myself, I'm interested in the running game.   I'm looking for Bell to get on the field before Harrison this week to see what he can do with the #1 O line.... who knows, maybe he has some "Denver" left in him.   Aaron Brown should show consistancy and repeat his performance.   

As for the passing game... Besides his drops, D. Williams looked fast, crisp and very poised to secure a roster spot... unfortunately, his hands had other plans... If he has a bit more dropsies... he could be gone.    But for DW to get the ax... someone has to step up.   Toone's story is real nice... but its time for Mr Irrelevant to become relevant.  ... and who's this Hughes kid?? and will he show us some more?

On Defense... I want to see the GIF above be performed...hehehe.  Love ya, Colt... but a Lion has to eat!

CLE's Running game has to be put in check... and on the backside... I'm looking for a young CB to step up and boot Macdonald.

From this proposal and obvious lack of cooperation from the NFLPA... the CBA will now be decided in court.

After reading this proposal, it is obvious that the Owners made considerable concessions and adjustments to where they stood prior to last year.

After hearing the NFLPA's response to why they decertified... it is obvious that they had no intentions of bargaining, no intentions of signing a deal, and no good intentions with regards to negotiations.

Its a sad day for the NFL.

I'm not a writer... but as I sat and watched interview after interview of Suh, his composure, his attitude towards the game... his expectations as a player and team mate...  this discussion popped in my head.

Today, in a surprising move, the New England Patriots have announced the release of outside linebacker Shawn Crable.  The 6-5, 250 pound outside linebacker was a third round pick of the Patriots in 2008.  He spent the majority of his first two seasons in the league on injured reserve, before ultimately being released at the start of training camp this July after he couldn't pass his physical.

There was a measure of irony Wednesday when Lions coach Jim Schwartz addressed the media about the lack of production from Bryant Johnson because, just a few yards away, the Lions were working out veteran free-agent receiver Kevin Curtis.

Face it, this team may be more talented on paper, but somehow... the wins just aren't there. 

This team makes me ill.   Whether its lack of preparation, over game planning(yes over), or just plain sucking as a team... the words escape me.

Detroit had no business losing this game.  the Defense held Buffalo to 14 points... 14!!!!... Wtf? 

8 penalties in the first Quarter? 

How many 3rd down pens?

Geez o'petes!   

I have now eliminated my plans to attend the Vikings game... further more, I will not be buying another Lions ticket until they have a winning record.

The NY Jets come to town this week as a 3.5pt favorite.   With the Lions recent win, this game will be a big benchmark on how this team is developing.   Are the Lions capable of winning a big time game at home?  Are the capable of winning back to back?   The Jets are high up on the power rankings, have only lost 2 games, and are almost a sure lock for the playoffs.   Not to mention, coming off an embarrassing home shutout against our rival Packers.

Lets take a look at how the Jets stack up against the LIons....

My entry is.... The perfect storm... Wind(KVB), Waves(SUH), Rain(Williams), Lightning(Avril) As an advid sailor of the Great Lakes, the waters in Michigan look relatively safe and inviting.... that being said, Storms can come quick, be very violent, and can take you out if you don't respect the water and plan ahead.    Have fun!
