My first football memory was when I was 6 years old, living in NYC, watching the NFC Championship game with my brother. He is 7 years my elder and a big 49ers fan. I remember the announcers stating that Joe Montana would not be able to throw the ball over Ed "Too Tall" Jones. Funny what you remember most when you are 6. The play that ensued was "The Catch" and I was hooked forever more.
Though I now live on the west coast I grew up in New York City and am a fan of mostly New York team, except when it comes to football (and the Mets). The only football team that I have been able to sustain hatred for are the Dallas Cowboys. My hate for the Cowgirls is only surpassed by my hate of the Redsoxs.
And while I love my Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers, football is the sport I am most passionate about and the 9ers are the team i am most passionate about.
a fan of
New York Yankees
New York Knicks
San Francisco 49ers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
New York Rangers
