While it was a foregone conclusion, the Rockies and Sky Sox finalized their extension of their player development contract on Friday for the next two seasons, through the 2012 season. The Rockies have already a PDC extension in place for Tulsa through 2014 and Asheville through 2012. No word yet on Modesto, Tri-City, and Casper but extensions should be likely for each.

Brent Briggeman of the Colorado Springs Gazette found out after Monday's Sky Sox game that Dexter Fowler was getting called up. Fowler was pulled from the Sky Sox starting lineup prior to today's game against Portland.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports Sunday night that Dexter Fowler will not be going with the Rockies to San Francisco, instead heading south on I-25 to Colorado Springs. Jonathan Herrera, who was not in the Sky Sox game on Sunday, will be joining the Rockies for the upcoming road trip. Fowler, currently going through a sophomore slump, jumped from Double-A Tulsa to the majors before the start of the 2009 season.
