The Dream Shake Rockets line up : great composition, ready for next season

With the way things are going, we can be one of the team who can possibly have a shot to the title next season.Having  Lowry, and Scola in the fold..our rookies developed the past season..and most importantly The GREAT WALL is back .Our roster is almost injury-free  and well developed as far as team chemistry is concerned. And  if the BRAD MILLER acquistion materialize,  then that will be the final piece of the puzzle to greatness.

Forget the so called  "Three Kings"of Miami.. Houston have the Yao Dynasty and the entire  empire to back him up..

Long live  Rockets!

The Dream Shake Clutch Landry: Houston interim go to guy

Since we still have no go-to-guy at the moment , we should try to give that role to him   during closer . Even if we  have a tough loss against Blazers, i really like what  i've seen with Landry. He is so tough, relentless  off the boards, have the will to win.. confident and very cool under pressure esp. on the line..Maybe we should go more with this guy, and he is worth playing for .. He has a greater chance to be the sixth man of the year if he continues to play that way consistently..

He's a workhorse..  i call him Clutch Landry

The Dream Shake Houston B.A.L.L. Squad : on the rise

I called them the B.A.L.L squad: Budinger, Andersen, Laundry, Lowry. Even our team recently lost to a tall and talented Atlanta Hawks. These are  the combination +Battier that gave us a lead on a 14-4  run cushioned and gave us momentum early in the 4th Qtr. Then a sudden ill advised substitution from our coach , brought  back the starters who played  a little flat in that game that somehow cost us the game. But thanks to the ball squad of Laundry and Lowry who's never say die attitude, almost forced the game  into overtime.

Our coach is one of the best in the league no doubt , but somehow with this kind of a game, he should reconsider this  2nd unit combo potentials to be an effective lethal back up  that can really makes our starters life easier.

But then again, its a bitter sweet game. Bottom line, it shows that  we are the scrappiest team in the league, a  tough nut to crack and a never say die attitude that can make other teams life miserable and really makes us proud to be a Houston Rocket dreamshakers!

Go Rockets! pulverized SACS tom.!

The Dream Shake Iverson dilemma continues: When will it end?

I think A.I still have enough talent on his sleeves despite his attitude problems that makes  team owners think twice. Teams like N.Y and Miami, show  interest on acquiring his services . Whom would you think among NBA teams can qualified to handle and embrace A.I despite  his complicated personality? should it be N.J, N.Y? Miami? or Houston?or any other team?

There are so many disadvantages having him.. but i think one positive thing in his game is during crunch time, he is more willing to take the shot and he's the go to guy type of a player than  can withstand the pressure esp. in a game closer situation..

What should A.I do and must not do  for him to be able to embrace again not only by the  team but also by  the fans as well?

The Dream Shake We need more options: Pops & Taylor might be the answer

Now we see how we suffered humiliating defeat from the Mavs., main reason: Limited options. Since we dont have any go to guy at this point, maybe we should use a 10 man rotation to include Pops and Taylor. We don't have any other option if a couple of guys having offnight just like in this game against Dallas. As much as we want Ariza, Chase and the guys to be cosistent every game, there are some nights like this when we need other guys to step up, that in the likes of Pops and Taylor. I think these two deserved a playing time since they have potentials skill wise. I bet they can step up and give quality minutes in our team.

The Dream Shake Trevor Breakout Game unfolds

Now my hope and belief of T-Riz becoming one of the pillars of Houston is finally coming to life  since he became a rocket few months ago. I know its too early to tell, but you can now see the glimpse of what he can be and  how  he can dominate a game and be one of the go to guys of our team.

A very smart move of GM Morey  of acquiring a young talented down to earth player who shows a lot of heart and compassion  and will power  in his game..less talk more actions!

More power Rockets! More W  to come!

The Dream Shake Unveiling the New Houston Uniform: Your views.

Hey guys, any opinion on our new alternate uniform? do you think it has more character and style? or psychologically is it intimidating? By the way i think it has Yao's influence. Have you noticed it has Chinese feng shui    wherein the name HOUSTON is going upward right, means success and red and yellow  are the two luckiest in Chinese color wheel.

There's nothing wrong with that , as long as the whole team will play their hearts out  and convert it to winning more games.  : )

Good luck to us! Long live  Red Nation!  Go Houston Rockets!

The Dream Shake Who's Yao personal mentor?

I don't have any idea who's Yao personal mentor..i know there's a lot of guys in this blog site that  are more knowledgeable, so can you help me ? By the way, correct me if i'm wrong, my personal guess is Hakeem the Dream. If not,  he should seek advise from him while recuperating from a seasoned  long  injury. The dream can provide him inputs and pointers that will enhance and polished his game and mental toughness to the fullest.. He is the M.J of center in the NBA and  for me the Greatest Center ever in the game of basketball. Long live the dream! Long live Yao!  Long live the Rockets!

The Dream Shake What's the update on Von Wafer?

I haven't heard recently on Von Wafer's fate as a Rockets. Will he  still be staying in Houston?

I hope he will.. coz' Von is one of the important nucleus of the team due to his high octane razzle dazzle play that really fits houston Brand of play under Adelman system.. He's very explosive and got a lot of arsenal offensively,he just need fine tuning on his offense, especially on defense..But his never say die attitude and a lot of heart epitomizes Houston Legacy as a champion.

So guys do you have any information about Von? will he be staying? or its von voyage already? (hope not)

The Dream Shake How about acquiring Rubio or Rudy Fernandez to complete the roster.

Having one or both of them will complete the cast..and make us a formidable , competitive Rockets coming this season. But  the big question is , How???, whom do we have to trade?

Their playing style , and good offensive prowess will definitely a great add-on to Houston brand of play and it fits very well with Adelman's System.

At least we know already the worth of Rudy F.  Well about Rubio , he got potential, and can develop to be one of premier guard in the NBA.. And its better for him to blossom wearing  a Rockets uniform...

What do you think guys? Aside from them, do you have any other players in mind that is more valuable, or say realistic enough to acquire?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the Way.....Hail Morey! We have now a promising Back up Center = Big David Andersen..Great job! Keep it going!

The Dream Shake Joey Dorsey the "Superboy" a revelation.

Joey Dorsey is a beast on the court in the nba summer league so far. He got good defense, rebound well, decent points in the paint, a double-double performance last game Hes somewhat  look like the "little D. Howard" with his physique and athleticism. He's got potential, the material to be a good player.. Keep it going and keep improving, hopefully he earns a spot and be part of the Houston reloading process as Tom describes it.

The Dream Shake Trevo Ariza can blossom to be one of the Pillars of Houston..provided...?

Trevor Ariza , can be a potential superstar provided he will continue to improve and enhance his game. We saw glimpses of what he can be.. he's got great anticipation in defense,, has decent offense, good three point range. More importantly, he is only 23 yrs. of age. He has a lot of time or room to blossom and be like T-Mac of the future,( minus the injury and the bad attitude). Houston is the best place for you to achieved stardom . Dont listen to the fat ass.. You have no future there .You  will be just another role player there and be that forever. Stick to Houston and we will embrace  and support you all the way. Welcome T-RIZ!!

The Dream Shake How about acquiring Oberto and Udoka to Houston?

Oberto is 6'10' listed at Pf position..but can he play as a center? well  Scola knows him very well. . can be  a plus factor.. and  Udoka, who has decent shot.. and can play defense....and  Who among houston players can we trade? or is it not worth a deal? Im running out of options, since a theres only a handful left  on the center slot free agency..  since we are on the brink of rebuilding again.. but who knows maybe we can still be a playoff contender this coming season.. thanks to our never-say-die , very supportive fans and a genious Gm Morey on our side..anything can happen.. Soar High Rockets!

The Dream Shake Houston need a legit back up center regardless of Yao's situation.

Regardless of the situation , we still need a back up center. I think of either Brad Miller or Mehmet  Okur can fill up that position. But i prefer Brad since he got good offense and he's a hard nose defender,.Moreover,  He is well familiar with Adelman system. (where they both in Sacramento back then). But the only big question mark is , how can we get either of them? Whom do we trade?

The Dream Shake Turkoglu opts out...best option: Houston Rockets

One of  yahoo sports headline is Turkoglu opts out of his contract with the Magic. This i think will somehow  free their  cap space especially with the latest insertion  of Vince Carter in the line up. Better deal?! Trade  Turkoglu to Houston in exchange for Landry, Hayes or Brent Barry. Turkoglu will best fit with Houston, with his high percentage shooting in the perimeter and beyond the arc, esp. down the stretch, the defense will stretch a little bit and make Yao maneuvering in the post run smoothly. The more i want Landry to stay as Rockets, this is a rare oppurtunity for us to get talent.. well if we can just trade T-mac to Magic with no conflict...will do it , as long as  Landry will  stays as Rockets.

The Dream Shake Do we have to trade Landry ? Who? Brad Miller?

Well I think Landry deserved to be a rocket. Give the guy the chance to blossom. He Got potential and most importantly he has the heart. He did a fair  job on the Houston-Lakers playoff despite the injury .but if the GM already decided to trade  Landry for a draft pick,Who will that be? in my opinion,   try to make a deal  with  Chicago's Brad Miller. I Think Miller will be a great back up center for Yao. He's tough, hard nose defender, and can shoot well in the perimeter.  I like this Guy for his resiliency,  hardwork, and dedication , very "Houston" indeed,  He will definitely be a great addition to the team.

The Dream Shake The Untouchable YAO : Great Wall will remains Houston 's Cornerstone

Never in this world will Morey allows  Yao  to be traded and join Le Brons Cavaliers. What  will we get in return? Varejao,Z,?, even the whole roster  (except LeBron)will not match the value of the great YAO . It will be better if Le Bron join the rockets, and definitely we are a complete team capable to win a championship, rather than Yao join the Cavaliers where the supporting casts are questionable and incapable to win a championship despite being on the playoffs..thats why le bron having thoughts or undecided for now if he will rejoin  the Cavs this coming season

Yao should stay in  Houston wherein the possibility of winning the championship next season is very high rather than joining  other team, where he will again start from scratch..adapt to their system... hire new players , and build again before he knew it, its too late! he will retire with no ring at  all.

The Dream Shake ORLANDO CHANGE YOUR LOGO! NO MORE TRICKS! the MAGIC wand is on KING FISHERS HAND

Its over..! i dont believe it! orlando beats themselves.. they should have won that crucial match of the series.. instead of an exciting series.. just like a snap or a sway of the wand, it becomes a boring series.. its a done deal lakers in 6.. they will just cruising on game 5 , but who knows maybe, lakers will close it out.. thats more devastating...unless they still have that heart and resiliency to comeback.. hope they will have  enough magic left on their sleeves..

Heres are the reasons why they lost the game:

1. Howard horrible freethrow shooting on the  crucial stage of the ballgame..(despite of his good showing esp. on defense.

2.Jameer nelson inexperience and rustiness that cost turnover and his bad defense on king fisher,.who hits two three pointers, that decided the game..(idont know why"stunned" van gundy  didnt use veteran johnson on the floor,(is he on the reserved list?) he got so much experience in the finals.. maybe it can change the complexion of the ball game..

3..Lewis not in the zone..

4.Teams poise under pressure..(they cant handle the pressure ,due to inexperiece.. they are shocked  when it went into overtime and from there they started to panic..including their coach..

5. RAFER, the 'jinx ', in the roster..dont re-signed this guy.. look for another one...hes behavior is infectious..he  will continue to hunt orlando and never wins a championship..

6. Maybe Change the logo..coz you cannot win by mere luck or magic.. look  at washington wizard.. ..LOL.(just kiddin)..

By the way, if the team decided to change their  logo or name, can you give any suggestions?

The Dream Shake LEBRON,IF U WANT TO HAVE A RING, JOIN THE ROCKETS

Poor Lebron, hes been working it out throught the season, then failed again.. Why? Its simple.. inconsistent TEAMMATES and a BAD COACH..How in this world cleveland would win a title with a underachiever ,undersize, and inconsistent teammates..(Except varejao, who shows heart) they were being overpowered by ORLANDO..how devastating. how can u match up gibson, green, and mo, with the much taller, high scoring trios of pietrus, turkoglu, and lewis.. of course with the addition of the hamilton -like, LEE..LEBRON CANT DO IT ALL..and play almost the whole game..Another thing , is their overrated coach.. the Le Brown! Gosh, what the hell hes doing, i dont see any adjustment in their overall plays, whether defense and offense..

Lebron needs teammates with the heart and desire to win despite the odds, well who else but the rockets, imagine having artest, battier, brooks, yao, scola, etc..  on your side. against superman, well we just delivered the kryptonite right in his throat.. dont forget if  you have a great coach in  ADELMAN THE HANDYMAN, well  the stake of winning the championship is very high..

Now, his contract will expire.. he should weigh his options, he will stay as a caveliers with a lucrative contract but  having a ring is remote, or go out with the other teams like houston, sacrifice a little on his terms ,but having the  nba throphy on his hand..

Think about it..

The Dream Shake NO REBUILDING! GREAT COACH!HOUSTON IS AWESOME!

Wow! Again houston pulls off and  forced a rubbermatch with the kobe-led Lakers..That what you called great all around basketball.. It shows again the toughness, resiliency and the never say die attitude of the rockets team. Team Houston is a very solid deep core team, and throw away the idea of REBUILDING!

How in this world can a depleted team  beat the best record in the west, powerhouse laker team.. ONLY  HOUSTON CAN DO IT!

I like our chances on game 7.. no question is a very tall order especially, facing the hostile crowd at the forum.,who cares.. HOUSTON IS MORE CONFIDENT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THE BALL  IS NOW ON THE LAKERS.. PRESSURE is on them and its very hard playing close out game..

A great roster , a great coach! a great team!

Just imagine next season.. we have a solid team from a-z. plus two superstars yao and t-mac, and the great coach like RICK 'HANDYMAN' ADELMAN who make solutions and fixed the team with his ingenuinity!

WHO NEEDS REBUILDING?

GO ROCKETS! YOU HAVE THE HEART TO BECOME A WORLD CHAMPION!
