Florida State HC Jimbo Fisher to donate $120,000 to university scholarship fund
Need a Thursday afternoon feel-good story? Here’s one: Jimbo Fisher is giving back. Fisher will donate to the Florida State general scholarship fund the $120,000 that he and Terrell Buckley won during a charity golf tournament earlier this week. Those winnings were to be dedicated to scholarships, anyway, so it’s like Fisher’s reaching into his own wallet. But still …

Fisher Issues Challenge To Fans For Spring Game
"We tell our players, ‘Let’s take Doak back,’" Fisher said. "To take Doak back, we need you. We need to fill the stadium up. We’re going to do our part and you’re going to be proud of the group that’s out there. Let’s do it together....

FSU's confident approach pays off
"What's kind of interesting is that Florida State's coaches have taken a decidedly different approach. Since we started profiling the expected members of the Seminoles' 2010 signing class last week, three different prospects have explained that not only are they still taking visits, but FSU's coaches have encouraged them to do so.
They said the Seminoles' coaches told them to see other schools to make sure they're making the right decisions.
Talk about your risky propositions. You can hear the irate fans now: "Who in their right mind would encourage a recruit to visit somewhere else?!?"
But when you think about it, that tactic actually is ingenious. By telling a prospect that it's OK to go visit somewhere else, the coaches are sending a clear message that they are confident no other school has as much to offer as they do. "Sure, check them out and see what it's like. Have a good time. And when you realize that we're a better fit, we'll be right here waiting for you."

Gregg Doyel from CBSSports calls FSU athletes dumb!
Read article at your own risk... it's brief but down right awful. Really, who in their right mind would go public and call these kids stupid?
Student athletes and social networking
Heather starts off with FSU's very own, Myron Rolle.
Does FSU have seminars on social networking? If not, some of our players should definitely look into it.
WR Taiwan Easterling appears to be ready...
I thought his recovery would have taken a bit longer?
