I hate to see guys get hurt, but i feel like the NCAA just continues to try a critique there rules only to change their minds a year later. Can we just leave the game alone? It seemed to be working fine before.

Specifically i want to know you guys thoughts on this new 40 second clock. I smell some post-game press conference remarks come sometime in october when people figure out this opens up the door for ugly and anticlimactic 9 minute drives. Teams like west virginia and Ohio State should pick up on the ball control possibilities real fast and understand that this seriously diminishes the opportunity for big time upsets in college football. I can just here ron zook with one of those "if it wasn't for...we would have won" remarks

Who knows maybe Michigan headed up the whole ordeal so they wont have to throw the ball but just a few times against Toledo...no chance for that whole appalachian state thing again

Sad to see that evryone is pulling their name out of the hat for our good 'ole OC position. All this talk about Frank Cignetti has me wary though, he hasn't been very succesful anywhere besides Fresno State. Positives are that he is young and interested, but are programs like UNC and Fresno great stepping stones to UT?

Who else do you guys think is in the mix or should be?

I'm excited to hear rumors of Phil talking to "someone from Michigan's Staff". Fred Jackson and Erik Campbell are fantastic assitant coaches and skill position mentors. Not to mention the fact that they can recruit with the best in the country especially Jackson. He has produced 10 different Running Backs who have surpassed the 1000 yard mark in a season in just 15 years!

Just want some thoughts from you guys on the latest news that Ainge's pinky is broken but he will attempt to start saturday. Hounded by injuries again and knowing there is a chance that we will be missing starters at TE, RB, QB, an K makes me feel very uneasy. How much do you think this will effect Ainge's performance saturday? I personally think crompton will end up playing most of the game, any thoughts?

http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2007/aug/28/ainge-has-jammed-pinky/
