Outside perspective....

First & formost I am a Cowboys fan...

I'm not here for trash talking or team bashing at all...I didn't get to see the game due to work, I seen the highlights & that kid Nate Davis looked great in the closing minutes of the game, he's definitely a keeper for you guys alot of potential. I just wanna know from an outside perspective: How did the Cowboys overall team performance look last night? Im tired of all the mixed emotions & feelings from all the cowboys websites I visit on a daily basis.

Giants & Eagles are top dogs in the NFC West & Cowboys are 3rd best as of now...I am totally OK with that, I just believe this team has the talent to atleast earn a wild card spot.

What are some strong points about the cowboys & some causes for concern?

Thanks alot guys!

The Cowboys will be without rookie linebacker Brandon Williams for the rest of the season because of a torn ACL, according to Tim McMahon of the Dallas Morning News.

Williams was expected to help on special teams and add depth at outside linebacker on the strong side behind Anthony Spencer.

This is the second rookie Dallas has lost for the season; tackle Robert Brewster, taken in the third round, is out with a torn pectorals muscle.

The Cowboys weren't expecting a huge impact from a their rookie class, but the losses will test their depth.

"This kid had a chance to play some plays," said coach Wade Phillips. "I guess he'll just have to do it next year."

Other than the obvious...DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten & arguably the best 3 headed monster at RB with, Barber, Felix & Tashard...What do us Cowboys fans have to brag about headed into the 09 season?

Me personally, I love our new look secondary with Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick & Sensabaugh. These guys will be flying all around the field. (Anything is better than Anthony Henry, Pacman & Roy Williams.)

I'm also a big Bradie James fan, this guy has proven himself to be a hard nosed, consistent tackler every season. I think maybe 09 is the year he makes the pro-bowl.

I also think we have good depth at TE position, with Marty B behind Witten. From what I've read, We might come out with alot od 2 TE sets this season.

How will Felix be utilized in 09 ?

From what I have heard, Felix & Tashard will both be counted on to carry a majority of the load during the first half of games. With Felix lined up as a slot WR at times. I love the idea, bringing in a fresh Marion barber to close it out like he did in 07.

How do you guys think it will play out.

I also think Felix would be great for the Wildcat offense. Back when he was at Arkansas he took a bunch of handoffs from McFadden & making the most of his oppurtunities, he was a scoring machine. If he's healthy he can do big things for our offense.
