It's a little known fact that UT participated in the first game of the now regular series of ESPN's Thursday Night Games.

Despite being uranked coming into this one, Louisville was getting a lot of hype after finishing 1990 ranked #14 with a 34-7 upset of Alabama in the Fiesta Bowl and this was a highly anticipated game.

As a professional statistician he has a great basis for judging mathematical systems, and he confirms what we already knew... the RPI is an absolute mess.
