The Chiefs won the division last year. This year they've been hit with some injuries and some bad luck, but in the NFL, it's all about winning now baby.

This is great news! If you have never heard Jim and Hokie do the audio broadcast of a Saints game, you are in for a treat.

Canal Street Chronicles Saints an early 10.5 point favorite.

The Saints open up as an early 10.5 pt favorite on the road at Seattle. I can't ever recall an away team being a double digit favorite in the playoffs. This line gives me confidence, the oddsmakers are usually less biased than the MSM. What do you folks think? Does being a 10.5 point favorite make you more confident or less confident about our chances? Is there really anything to worry about in this game as long as the Saints show up?

Canal Street Chronicles SURVIVOR LEAGUE - Wk 15

Congrats guys! 14 straight correct picks without duplicating a winning team is an awesome accomplishment. Both players played it somewhat safe this week, using the top two teams in the NFC (both in the NFC South) to continue their streaks. See if you can keep it going, here are your previous picks.

This is a really cool page where you can play out the last few weeks of this season using any criteria you want, and see what teams make the playoffs and the seedings and byes. Lots of fun to try different scenarios and see where we land.

Canal Street Chronicles Survivor league!!!

I would love to play a survivor elimination league game against some fellow CSC'ers. For those of you who don't know how it works, here is a basic explanation.

1. Each week you pick one game winner from the games scheduled. Your team must win outright, no ties or point spread victories.

2. As long as you pick correctly, you continue to the following week. If your pick loses, you are eliminated and out of play.

3. Each week, you must pick a different team to win, you may not pick the same winner more than once a season. Last one standing wins.

I would be willing to run it, similar to the way CP ran his points contest last season. Anyone interested in trying it?

Canal Street Chronicles Get Ready For The Stampede!

Bandwagon_medium

There is going to be a stampede, I hope all of you are ready. If (or when) we beat the Patriots, there is going to be a stampede of so-called "fans" jumping on the Saints bandwagon. As you have probably already noticed, there are more and more people posting here than ever before. This is only the beginning, I predict the readership and posters will double in the coming weeks. I can barely keep up now with all the threads, it is only going to get worse (or better?)

So here is my question... Will you continue to read all of the fan posts as more and more people post them? I have seen several recently, (without naming any names), that are a total waste of time. But since everyone is allowed to voice their opinion and their questions, I respect their right to post.

Canal Street Chronicles Rankings!

According to ESPN, the Saints have the #1 offense (no surprise), ranking 2nd in passing and 7th in rushing. The Saints rank 21st in total defense, 28th against the pass but 5th against the run. Again, no surprise as teams pass for garbage yds trying to catch up.

Here's the surprise... The Atlanta Falcons, (ranked 4th compared to the Saints 7th in the latest ESPN power rankings), have the 17th overall ranked offense, 17th passing and 15th rushing, and the 22nd overall ranked defense, 18th against the pass and 20th against the run. The Saints are clearly a better team according to the statistics, but continue to be seen as a weaker team. I hope this stays this way. The dirty birds will not beat us this year, at home or away, and the Saints are going to win the division going away. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!
