Wildcat? Tyler Thigpen? Am I the only one who thinks this?
Ok, I don't claim to be the biggest football genius, but I am tired of losing. The impression I have had of the Chiefs offense the last few seasons can be summed up in one word...predictable. LJ is in and we run. He is out, we pass. The defenses do not seem to have a real challenge in defending our formations.
Maybe I am stupid, but dang, we have Tyler, Charles, Savage and LJ. Couldn't we mix in a bit of wildcat and throw the other teams off a bit? I can hear the first objection by the Chiefs, "we are still working to get our starters to learn our primary offense, let alone mix in a second set of plays."
That is great and all, but the defenses are handling our primary offense with ease. The exception was Oakland, but they are not exactly leading the league in defense at the moment.
I just imagine Tyler sitting on the bench rotting and getting dusty and I think if they mixed him in along with the running backs between plays with Cassel it would utilize Tyler, keep Cassel fresh and keep the defense off guard.
Is that crazy or does it make any sense to anyone else?
