You know about it, we've talked about it... now it is time to put up or shut up.
We've been needing a fan post to really put some concrete ideas out there, should we decide to go ahead and put faces and real names to the handles (especially for those who cannot pronounce l3oh).

Rough Cut: Eating the Enemy, Round 2
YEEEEE-HAAAW!!!!!!!!
As I have confessed before, I was secretly rooting for a Mavericks-Lakers matchup in the "Elite 8" round, simply because of the food. Texas BBQ is above and beyond my favorite style of BBQ, and might be my second favorite cuisine of all. (It will never beat out Middle Eastern cuisine). So saddle up, because "Eating the Enemy" is going to go BIG, Texas style.
(Writer's note: I was going to limit this to Central & North Texas barbecue, because Dallas is as far away from San Antonio as the Bay Area is from Los Angeles. However, thanks to the Grizzlies, I no longer have to concern myself with the possibility of facing the Spurs and thus can talk about all of Texas. Hence, we all win!)

Rough Cut: Eating the Enemy, Round 1
And now, the real season begins... 0 down, 16 to go. First up, we have the New Orleans Hornets.
The Cal SBN blog, California Golden Blogs, previews each football game with an "Eating the Enemy" post, complete with a recipe on how to cook trees, ducks, beavers, huskies, bruins, wildcats... sundevils... trojans...
With proper credit given to their original idea, I would like to take my on twist to the theme. For each of the four (knock on wood) rounds, I will create a FanPost detailing the cuisine of the town the Lakers will be playing in. And I couldn't think of a better opponent to start off with than the Hornets, both because of the match-ups and the cuisine (!!!!!!!!)

Rough Cut 3/30/11: "Great Food Truck Race"
Wooooo!!! We have successfully quarantined CalLadLal and his obsessive food ramblings into a Rough Cut! May the SS&R game thread faithful no longer suffer the desire for a fish taco while bemoaning Fisher PUJITS.

"Lakers in the Final Four: a rich legacy" - Omissions
As should be expected, the Lakers, with its history of great players, also have a "rich legacy" of players who starred in the Final Four. The OC Register has a list of many of those players, which includes some of the biggest names, and many others...
Lew Alcindor (UCLA)
Earvin Johnson (Michigan State)
Wilt Chamberlain (Kansas)
Jerry West (West Virginia)
Elgin Baylor (Seattle)
Gail Goodrich (UCLA)
James Worthy (North Carolina)
Kobe Bryant (Keep dreaming, Duke fans)
I made this fanpost so we can mention those Lakers who should have been included, but were not for whatever reason. The Lakers omission that came to my mind is Darrall Imhoff, the namesake of my SSR Bracket.
