I grew up basking in Elway's glory and have been a Broncos fan ever since. I stuck by the Broncos side through the Cutler fiasco, despite every one and their mother telling me that they would collapse into failure. I put my faith in Pat Bowlen as an awesome owner. Being an out of state Bronco fan is great when they come into the bay area (California) to smash on the Raiders. The looks on their mascara and lip lined faces drenched in dejection is always a welcome sight.

Open Letter to Kevin Vickerson and Ty Warren
What's up guys? In case you hadn't noticed, we kinda need you back this year. Neither of you are spring chickens anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't give your all for the Broncos and stuff the middle of the line with your generously proportioned rear ends. You've both had time to get back to good health and it's time to shine!
DT Free Agents
Looking over DT free agents still available, how have we not signed AT LEAST one of the following: Amobi Okoye, Tommie Harris, Antonio Garay, Arubayo Franklin (No specific Order) http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=32&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffa%3fpositionId%3d32
Catch 22
It seems that the Broncos organization and the fans have thrown themselves into an infinitely impossible situation to get themselves out of ever since the release of John Elway as a QB back in 1998. The problem is propagated by the undying passion that we, as fans, have for winning it all. We got a taste of ultimate victory during the two superbowl years and have been chasing that end goal ever since. The trouble is the fan base is much too impatient to actually enable the organization to develop the team naturally. The QB position has been so unstable the last 14 years that no one has had a chance to establish themselves as a legitimate heir to the throne of Elway. There is constant pressure from the fan base to get better. Yesterday. Follow me for the proof.
The Broncos Employ a Scorched Earth Attack
It would seem that the Broncos are an intimidating force in the pursuit of (war over) Peyton Manning due to their sheer cap space alone. It also seems as though other teams are ditching some of their best players (burning their resources) ie; Brandon Marshall and Levi Brown, in order to make an attempt at affording the services of Manning. Little do they realize, that it is an attempt in futility because with each key player they release (resource they waste) they become less likely to be able to appeal to Manning (win the war). So The Broncos are sitting pretty with all their important resources in tact, with room to expand and obtain more weapons. I would liken the ability to sign Manning as well as Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne to the effect of having a stockpile of nuclear arms with which to destroy the competition. Let's muscle our way to a super competitive team that will win the next 3 Superbowls!
TO ARMS FELLOW BRONCOS FANS!
Delocated needs to be located somewhere else.
Anybody else repulsed by the 90% naked man that keeps popping up in the ad slots? I think Milehighreport needs to be more choosy about the ads they plug. I don't mind seeing Drew Brees sleeping with Nyquil or whatever else.... But a mostly naked, pasty white, flabby, junk dangling, burglar man is not what I want taking up screen space while I am trying to sneak in Broncos news during my work day. Furthermore, I am not interested in watching any show, on adult swim or elsewhere, that involves almost nude robbers. Thanks for trying.

Need Fantasy Advice
I made it to my league's superbowl this week and I am at a cross roads for the grand finale. I rode Aaron Rodgers all the way to the top this season, but now with his team not playing for anything this week, he seems to be a weak start. I picked up Carson Palmer as soon as he was traded to the Raiders as a long shot and as a back up QB if anything were to happen to Rodgers. He's been inconsistent/bad at times. So with little faith in Palmer, I scoured the waiver wire and found Josh McCown to be the only serviceable QB worth picking up. I added him to my team before someone else had the chance to. Out of my options, who would you choose with bragging rights for the rest of the year on the line?
Kyle Orton is apparently THE ONE
Saw it on Arrow Head Pride and got a good laugh at the absurdity of it. Figured I would share.

Cheap Jerseys?
Pennies are being pinched around Christmas, but I wanted to know if someone would be kind enough to share a little nugget of information, like where I can get NFL and MLB jerseys for cheap.... knockoffs from China are just fine by me, but I want to go to a known source so that my bank account isn't drained in minutes.... Please help a fellow fan out!
John Fox is the Man!
I just watched a local news story about how Steve Spurrier refused to give a press conference while a particular reporter was in the room. Please get on the same page as me here: http://larrybrownsports.com/college-football/steve-spurrier-rips-writer-ron-morris-refuses-to-talk-while-hes-in-press-room/91653
Now that everyone is acquainted with the situation, and for those of you not interested in anything non-broncos related, follow me...

Patience is a Virtue
The decision to start Tebow or Orton is not important to our football team right now. Regardless of who we end up starting, we will still be playing with the other 51 members of our football team. 96% of the Broncos would still be contributing in the same capacity. I stress the term football TEAM because that is exactly what we are and how we should act.

The NFLPA and Owners Suck
I have grown accustomed to reading on MHR about everything from game breakdowns to rookie previews. Potential free agents to future game plans. I understand that this is the off season and all, but my god this bickering on both parts has so consumed the media's focus that I can't find anything deeper than surface analysis of our Broncos future.
Against the Grain (New Poll)
I want to first say I am not criticizing anyones judgements or mocking an beliefs, but I do not agree with a few of the mainstream ideas that are going around Broncoland as of late. Like...
1. We need to draft a reciever early or at all. Wrong.
A)Brandon Marshall is a Bronco now and will be until McD and Xanders say otherwise. He has been a consistent playmaker for us and will continue to do so until he is on another team. Drafting a receiver out of fear for losing Marshall would be a risky and expensive move when our current receivers are more than capable to fill in. Why try and replace someone that could very well be a Bronco for years to come?
B)Eddie Royal seems to have gone through a sophmore slump but are we so quick to forget what kind of production he showed during week 1 of 2008 in Marshall's absence and the rest of the ensuing season? He will be a larger part of our offense and can be the burner/ deep threat for our offense.
C)Jabar Gaffney was a starting caliber player for the Patriots offense in his time there. He too showed the ability to step in for Marshall's absence in week 17 of 2009 as a number 1 option. Why would it be so wrong to ask him to step into a solid starting role for us?
D)Behind these three we also have the ever reliable Brandon Stokley and once spectacular Brandon Lloyd who showed valuable in the limited playing time they received last season. Kenny McKinnley is our current project that will continue to develop. Possibly into the next big time receiver...?
So another rookie drafted this year would only further the dilution of talent. I believe we should let the receiving corps that we have come into their own and shows us what they've got. There are much more pressing needs to address than receiver.
2. Brady Quinn threatens Kyle Orton's starting job. Farfetched
A)Orton is a beast. Period.
B)Brady Quinn could hardly beat out Derek Anderson for the starting job half the time in Cleveland. Derek Anderson=released by the Browns. Orton=1st round tender from the Broncos. What about that is indicative of Quinn's talent being superior to Orton's?
C)Quinn went through 3 years of different coordinators and couldn't catch up to any one of those schemes. So how can anyone reasonably expect him to not only pick up another new scheme, but also beat out Orton since he already has a year of experience under McD.
D)Orton had his best statistical season under McD's tutelage last year. I fully expect him to come out of the gates fast this year with that much more confidence behind him. He had a new receiving corps, new o-line, new system, and new coaches to get used to. He broke his finger early and then ended the season fighting an ankle injury. He still put up better than average numbers and only has room to improve. His time to gel with the offense has passed and the offense should begin firing on all cylinders at the start of next season.
E) Quinn ended both of the last seasons on IR. Orton finished both of the last seasons on a broken ankle. Which is more reliable? Orton is better than Quinn.... no doubt in my mind.
3. We can afford to fix anything on our team right now before the o-line. Delusional
A) Our running game in 2009 was painful to watch at times because our guys could not open up holes against bigger d-linemen. If Moreno wasn't getting hit behind the line half the time, he would've had a much better average. His ability to break tackles in the open field relies solely on him actually making it out into the open.
B) Our guards aren't exactly probowlers and aren't getting any younger. Our starting center is no longer around and going into the season without a starting caliber center may just cause us a few problems. I don't think age or veteran leadership on the o-line is what we need so much as we do some bigger bodies.
C) McD wants to continue moving away from, if not eliminate entirely, the zone blocking schemes of old and complete the move towards his own power blocking scheme. To do this we need to beef up the o-line like we recently did to our d-line. If we do not create a bigger o-line in the middle, our own d-line will end up dominating them in practice scrimmages. And that's just embarrassing.
We are bound for contention this year if we upgrade our o-line. Our inability to run out the clock or control the ball on extended drives is what finally did us in last year. In turn we then need to continue to upgrade our linebackers. Mario Haggan and Andra Davis were mediocore starters for us but leave much to be desired. If we ended the offseason with a new middle of the o-line and replacements for Haggan and Davis, I think we will have a strong chance to go deep. If you disagree, please inform me of the err in my ways. But this is just how I see things.
