Love the Cards. Born in raised in Louisville. Grew up to names like Dwayne Morton, James "Boo" Brewer, Tick Rogers, Greg Minor, and Alvin Sims. My favorite all time Cardinal is Dejuan Wheat by far. I miss Bobby Petrino.

Pete Thamel Digging into Bender-Smith-UCF fiasco???
We all know ol Pete Thamel. The guy who has tried to bury UK not once, but twice with articles on Eric Bledsoe's GPA and Anthony Davis' 200K signing bonus. Neither were proven but that hasn't stopped him from trying to do more digging in this state. Rumor has is that Thamel has been making a lot of phone calls to a lot of people associated with Brandon Bender and DaMarcus Smith asking about their connection. Not sure if he has proven anything but he is looking into a possibly of some illegal money exchanges between UCF and Bender and UCF and Smith. We may never hear anything about this, but if Petey finds something interesting, be ready for a rollercoaster. Don't expect Smith to ever play for Louisville, I dont think Charlie will touch him when all this comes out.
Huge get for the Card Nation!
Misleading? You betcha. With all this bad news surrounding the Cardinals this week I thought I might share a little good news in the world of the Louisville Cardinals. My friend and co worker Alex Porter has long been on the fence about his support of UL and UK. A Southern Indiana native, Alex had been torn for years on who to root for. He has spent months researching and taking advice from both sides of the fan bases. Tonight... a decision was made, and the good boys came out on top. Cards win this battle. Alex is a Cardinal. He will be purchasing a UL football game package, buying an outfit, heck, he might even put a UL gnome in his yard. Follow my buddy on Twitter at @AlexPorter82. Follow him and show your respect!!!
KSR Fan Outfitters Contest Finalist!!!
So i was on KSR a few weeks ago and they put this contest together called "The KSR Fan Outfitters Contest" How it works is that you pick a team in the comments section of the post and if you are the first to ask for that team you get that team. Well me and my UK buddy decided to each pick a team and if we won we'd split the profits. The grand prize is a $150 Fan Outfitters GC (which would buy me a nice Bridgewater Jersey) and a few weeks later i realized that the winner also got to write a post on KSR. Well I picked Princeton knowing that there is no Ivy league tournament and if they ran the table I'd have a good shot at winning. Well...as of today Texas just lost and it's down to two teams...Princeton and George Mason. I'm not a UK fan, i don't know what I'd write in this post if i win. Should I keep it classy or use this to invade the bloggers down the road. I need some ideas! If I win...what should i write about? I'm definitely going to post a pic of the UL jersey I buy, but besides that I have no idea what I am going to do. Thoughts?
Who you got? Braveheart of Gladiator
Lets be honest, its vacation season and the office is dead. i want to spark up a debate. Who wins in a fight to the death...Braveheart of Gladiator?
Rules:
They are in an open field
They are alone
They each have identical swords
No armor for either
Here are some highlights of each contestant:
Gladiator:
Pros:
A general in one of the largest armies in the history of the world
Killed humans and tigers AT THE SAME TIME
His wife is better looking than Bravehearts
He was the best Gladiator and was the best fighter of his time
Cons:
Was in captivity most of the movie, what real champion gets caught so early?
Technology for 3000BC seemed to be a little exaggerated in the movie. The armor was legit!
Was eventually killed by Joquian Phoenix
Braveheart:
Pros:
It took all of England the most powerful nation in the world to bring him down
Killed thousands in nothing but a kilt
Showed no mercy, even killed horses in the movie
Excellent strategist as shown in the scene where his army was outnumbered 3 to 1 but still won
The timeframe of Braveheart was thousands of years ahead of Gladiator so he had technology on his side.
Cons:
Wore a kilt most of the movie
Wife was uglier than the wife in The Gladiator
Didnt see the backstabbing Scottish Prince coming
Lets face it Mel Gibson isnt as cool much of a badass as Russel Crowe.
So...who you got? I'll save my choice for later. I've been debating this for years
Let the Smith/Bridgewater debate begin
A UK blog has already interviewed Smith about his thoughts on the Bridgewater commitment! Looks like he is still in contact with Joker even after his commitment to Louisville. This will be interesting to see how this plays out. I really hope Charlie can find a way to get both players on the roster next year. I'd love to hold on to the hometown kid but I understand his situation.

Bridgewater and Rodgers to UL!
I have a source who is really close the UL football program just call and tell me that Bridgewater and Rodgers have committed to UL. Those who know me on here know I don't just say this stuff and I trust this guy so much that I'm going to go ahead and tell you what he told me. I've heard that we will know later today about this. If my source is wrong I am going to return his Christmas present. But for now...rejoice and celebrate and argue about what will happen with D Smith. GO CARDS

Newest Bracketology First One Out
This is Joe Lundari's latest Bracketology standings. Louisville loses to WVU but actually jumps up 3 spots to the first team out. I guess someone out there noticed we were robbed. This is interesting, in the last four in and first four out there are 5 Big East teams. UConn is also the last one in and Louisville is the first one out. Makes for a pretty big game tonight wouldn't you say...
LAST FOUR IN
Old Dominion
Florida
Cincinnati
Connecticut
FIRST FOUR OUT
Louisville
Seton Hall
Marquette
Wichita State
I while other games we talk about as "must wins" this overshadows them all. It could come down to the committee looking at UL or UConn as the last Big East team taken and this game tonight would surely give one team the upper hand in that discussion.
