Im a college student living in North Dakota. I'm a huge fan of the Niners, Twins, and Hawkeyes. It's a strange combination I know, but what can ya do. I like to think im a pretty impartial sports fan, I'm not too big on the homerism thing, nor am I adverse to listening to other people's ideas and speculations. Life is just easier when you're well informed rather than biased, and it makes for good conversation on the blog's.

Bye Bye Maiocco
Well, ive found out where Maiocco is going before the official release announcement, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. If you read his twitter page he says to figure out the riddle of his last tweet on April 30th. Well the first letter of every word in that tweet spells Comcast Sports Net. Blah. I must say im kind of bummed. I live way out here in North Dakota (Bust out your maps) and was hoping he would be part of a new ESPN Bay Area or something so I could keep track of his stuff online easier, but oh well. Good Luck Maiocco
Possible Trade Scenario?
This article requites Insider access, but basically it is saying that the Raiders have received an offer from one unnamed team for this years number 8 pick in exchange for that teams first rounder next year and second rounder this year. Im not sure if this has been discussed in other threads or not, but I find the idea very intriguing if the Niners were the team interested, as that would allow us to grab a key talent (Berry or Bulaga) and then trade down from either number 13 or 17 depending on the talent available. The rumor itself links to the SF Chronicle (sigh). Like I said, i'd be all for it if the Niners are the team interested, but it should make for good discussion either way. Enjoy
Why Joe Mauer Will Love Target Field
ESPN has had quite a few articles this morning involving the Twins, and all of them are quite good. Buster Olney's blog post was centered around Liriano, and there was a second one which I cannot recall the nature of. The Third article just takes a look at Mauer's hitting tendencys and the helpful dimensions of Target Field. Because I'm an ESPN Insider, and I know many arent, I'm going to post the Mauer article after the jump, Hopefully you guys find it interesting.
Amazing ESPN Story About Myron Rolle
I just read this and I gotta say, it's probably one of the better sports related articles I've ever read. Its quite lengthy but I found it very intriguing, and well worth the time it took to get through it all. Rolle is a guy I've been a fan of since he was at Florida State, and he is one of the guys I hope we pick up in the third round or so if he falls that far. Enjoy
