Carolina March New to this Blog

Hey everyone I'm a Canadian Tar Heel Fan. Nobody really sends support to the Heels from up here so I'm taking it on and have started up a blog. Check it out and leave a comment! I know I don't have resources to the Heels up in Canada but I'm going to do my best and write constructively about the team. Again, it's all my opinion so feel free ti critique and analyze.

Heels fans should come from all-over; not just one place. I think it'd be a great thing to generate a fan base behind the best college basketball program in the world.

I'll be posting my blog here as well on fan posts, so again feel free to leave a comment or what not!

Carolina March Lets Do It RIGHT This Time!

3 years ago an un-ranked Gonzaga team tipped off with the #2 Tar Heels in New York. It was the NIT semi-finals and this time around there was no skinny-crying-mustached kid on the Zags squad. Adam Morrison was gone and that was that. Who's shoulders would now be the foundation for this west coast team? 6'11 forward Josh Heytvelt stepped to the plate and delivered alongside Derek Raivio. Most people expected this young man named Tyler Hansbrough to be the catalyst and eventually bring the Heels a victory. But no... unfortunately for the Blue-Nation this did not happen. Heytvelt, Raivio and Jeremy Pargo were just to much to handle for this young team. Not even a year had passed since UNC was crowned national champions but it was evident that they were lacking chemistry in comparison to the former championship team rotation. The 3 Gonzaga players punished the Heels combining for a total of 56 points on route to putting the Heels to sleep at a 82-74 final. That was 3 years ago... yep... 3. It's a different story now. Pargo is essentially non-existent and is a no-show type of player. Heytvelt is not unstoppable and has seemingly toned down; there's no more Zag hype these days. After a stunning finish to their game against WKU... it is hard to believe that they will repeat what they did to the Heels 3 years ago. Hansbrough is peaking, Ellington is raining and Ed Davis is swatting. I know I didn't mention Lawson because he deserves his own little piece. The guy has a "sore" big toe. I don't think so after that ankle-breaker against LSU and a phenomenal performance. If North Carolina comes to this game prepared having blocked out their previous encounter with these Bulldogs, they will continue their cake-walk to the National Title. Go North Carolina!
